Thanks, helips. It has gone off now, it was just for about half an hour, and was the strangest thing I've ever felt. No bleeding, just lots of clear wet stuff . I'm hoping it's just implanting further, or it's ligaments or stretching or something.
Your dream sounds hilarious!! I remember the night before my BFP I dreamt I had got a load of high heel shoes stuck in my uterus, and DH had to try and get them out! They were really far up though and wouldn't come out! V strange....
I wish I could go home, this weather is lovely. Hmmmm why is time going so slowly?? I desperately want a nice healthy 12 week scan and I can start to relax a tiny bit...
How is everyone else doing?

Amiable · 19/03/2009 13:41

I am due around November 16th. Like travellinglight I lost a baby at the end of last year, so am delighted to be pregnant again!

I already have a DD who was 3 on Feb 24th - we wanted a bit of a gap as I couldn't bear the thought of a double buggy!

helips · 19/03/2009 13:42

Glad you are feeling better Katster, reckon it was your ligaments stretching, it can feel quite strange.

Right, must get off mumsnet and nap before ds wakes up!!

helips · 19/03/2009 13:43

Welcome Amiable

southernbelle77 · 19/03/2009 13:47

AFternoon all! So much for me not having many symptoms. I have just spent the last 20 minutes with my head over the toilet (sorry tmi ) It's a good job the children I mind are asleep! I did want to try and have a sleep while they were, but the ms put a stop to that!

Kaster, I get all sort of funny sensations going on which I actually try and see as a positive thing as I'm hoping it means things are growing and stretching the way they should.

Welcome everyone new. Can't keep up with it all - we really are growing in numbers aren't we!

lemontop · 19/03/2009 16:04

Katster glad you're feeling better. I had something similar on Sunday and got all paranoid. I think it was a combination of things stretching and wind!

I've recently developed blue veins all over my boobs. How nice!

Koumak · 19/03/2009 16:22

Just remember dh and ds came back from their week long visit from PIL they all looked so skinny (I swear I am not being bitchy) and dh stressed. Apparently it wasn?t pleasant relaxing but rather a stressful one. Thank god I didn?t go stress is the last thing I need at the moment. MIL terrible cook (dh words) and apparently ds ate mostly yogurts the whole time?
Also ds cut his hair while under supervision of my PIL and dh. Can it get any worse?
Rant over thanks. Can?t face the unpacking tonight. But it needs to be done.

katster37 · 19/03/2009 16:22

Thanks everyone for your reassurance. lemontop how long did yours last? (And well done on the blue boob veins! Nice!)My weird twingey things have come back on again, but it was brought on (AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I AM ABOUT TO WRITE THIS!!!) by, ahem, straining to go the toilet and so I am hoping that means it is ligament-related. It is worse when I'm stood up?! But is is pretty sharp, like stabbing twinges. Oh, the joys of pregnancy... I actually don't know who you would ring at this early stage, in terms of medical advice...Would you speak to your GP? Because obviously I haven't spoken to a midwife yet... Hmmm. Anyway, we'll see what happens.
southernbelle I like your way of looking at things, and that's exactly what DH said too.
The sun seems to have gone in this afternoon, it'd better be back for Saturday!

Koumak · 19/03/2009 16:22

Obviously i meant there were NOT watching properly because he was able to cut his hair but you know what i mean!

Koumak · 19/03/2009 16:24

and it was THEY were not...pg brain!

Koumak · 19/03/2009 16:26

Katster37 sorry I completely ignored you there! I had few stabbing pains but they disappeared. I have read somewhere it?s quite normal. But speak to your gp if it gets worse. I had blue veins all over my legs for a week or two but likely gone now

Koumak · 19/03/2009 16:27

what is wrong with me i cannot spell today!
i meant LUCKILY gone now
I give up

BeckyBendyLegs · 19/03/2009 17:09

Katster it sounds like ligament related to me. Ring NHS direct for advice perhaps? I always ring my mum but not sure I should give out her number on mumsnet! (She was a nurse and midwife and healthvisitor and all sorts of medical things in her career.)

I'm thinking about a sausage buttie right now. Oh my god I'm going to be ten tonnes by the end of the month!

I've been making a miniature garden with my DS1 for school this afternoon (DS1 is in reception): such fun! The last time I made one was about thirty years ago. DS2 kept trying to put big boulders in it (DS2 is three). DS1 was not happy with DS2! I'm worried now the cats are going to wee in it thinking it is a litter tray, albeit with a pond and a path.

Time goes sooooo slowly during these early days. I've only known I'm pregnant six days. This time last week I was totally unaware and taking really strong antibiotics for a tooth infection and feeling fine!

southernbelle77 · 19/03/2009 17:25

Oh those last few messages have made me laugh! Not sure why really but gave me a good old chuckle!! Probably because I can relate to them and it makes me laugh to think about my already pregnancy brain failings!!!

BeckyBendyLegs · 19/03/2009 17:35

Being thicker than normal was the first symptom for me. In fact when I was on antibiotics last week I searched the internet for 'enrothymycin (or whatever they were called) and memory loss'.

katster37 · 19/03/2009 18:17

OMG I am definitely thicker than normal!! This afternoong (while teaching a class of 6 year olds) I told them to put their finished book covers in a pile under the table!! I meant in the middle of the table - they thought it was hilarious...

Beckybendylegs I too have phoned my mum! Much better than NHS direct I think! She thinks it is uterus expanding, and says she had it too. I think I would be more worried if it were painful, but it's more a fluttery/tickly spasm type thing so unless it turns painful or I bleed, I will stay positive and follow mother's advice. Oh, and the pond sounds great!

Koumak, am laughing at your PIL!! Hope you have fed DH and DC up now they are back?!

Thanks for everyone's advice on my latest trauma... Hope you are all doing well.

cupcake hope you are feeling positive about tomorrow, and let's hope it's lovely news, and you can relax and forget about your horrible week.

hamandegger · 19/03/2009 18:25

ooh can i join? I may be eligible. Im due today, but did an early test at the weekend and got a faint positive, so will do another if i don't come one, obviously! Already have 2 dc, but are thrilled at the thought of the third if it happens. Haven't read the thread through, will do when kids are in bed.

hamandegger · 19/03/2009 18:25

forgot to say congratulations to everyone else.

katster37 · 19/03/2009 18:34

Congrats hamandegger! Wow, you are very patient - I had a faint positive last Thurs, and did about 5 tests until they went darker! Had done 9 tests by Tuesday... But yeah, congrats and let's hope you don't come on! How old are you DCs?

hamandegger · 19/03/2009 18:40

They are 2 and 4, so it will be very hectic, but good fun! Do you think a faint positive is a definite then? Might get another one tomorrow, it was a surprise, so I wasn't prepared with many tests, and have had a stomach bug, so haven't been able to get out.

NewhereHelp · 19/03/2009 18:57

Hi all and welcome newbies

These must be the longest weeks of my life, talking of insanity I burt myself on the oven yesterday and scalded myself tonight, oh and put some oven chips on and left the rest of the bag on the side to defrost - not sure I'm safe to be let out!!

Going to have to do 3 days in London next week too so I'll be comepletely shattered (like I'm not already!)

Keep smiling people and keep everything crossed x

katster37 · 19/03/2009 19:12

That will be lovely, hamandegger having 3 under 5 - this is my first, but I would like 3 fairly close together. Yes, I have heard there is no such thing as a false positive. Can your DH get a test for you? Fingers crossed.

newherehelp oh no, leaving the oven chips out! I am all over the place too. Not sure if it's 'cos half my brain is always thinking about the pregnancy, at some level, or the hormones, or god knows what! I don't mind though!

Aaaagh, am spasming again, this could well drive me mad! As soon as I stand up and walk around, it starts up again! Have told DH i can't leave the settee now, until bedtime!

NewhereHelp · 19/03/2009 19:19

katster just rest up and get some sleep, see how you feel in the morning - is it worth popping to the GP if you're not any better? More than likely nothing but might put your mind at rest?

hamandegger · 19/03/2009 19:20

no, hes out till late so i will have to wait. cooking myself two whole beetroot though, so somethings a bit odd with me. Good idea about staying on the sofa, perhaps you can be waited on too? First pregnancies are so exciting, well all pregnancies are, but there is something about your first, the excitement and the unknown.
newherehelp - hope going to london goes alright, just the thought of it is making me tired!

katster37 · 19/03/2009 19:45

thanks newherehelp - I think it is probably stretching or ligaments, as it definitely gets worse when I move around and use muscles, and I doubt the GP can actually do much at this stage. Will see what happens, but if it's not gone by Mon I will call the nurse.
hamandegger two beetroots?! You need to take a test!!
