Hi All,

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, I was very glad to get off early and open all the windows!! Wouldn't mind a little nap now really - feel like I'm going to have to tell work fairly early to justify not being able to keep my eyes open!

I am 6 weeks today and feel very pleased about it! Just a week to go 'till my next scan so am counting the days. Still, no sickness yet but am less interested in food than I was. Hope no one is feeling too awful.

Koumak · 18/03/2009 16:35

i am so of all of you being able to enjoy this weather outside! that and being with your children. I am on the other hand at work looking out the window and counting the minutes to the end of the (working) day. 26 mins only!

lemontop · 18/03/2009 17:31

Wow this thread is moving fast. How funny there are so many south London mums to be.

I was worried that all my symptoms had disappeared but I think they were just taking a break. The tiredness is really weird for me as I normally have trouble getting to sleep. I was sitting watching TV last night and I practically passed out. I then woke for 2 hours at 3am!

My sense of smell is approaching bloodhound status. I can really smell soap and perfume on people, particularly on my train to work. Very odd. I also keep having dizzy spells where I just feel 'weird'. It's hard to explain.

I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. Come on time. Move a bit faster!

becks130 · 18/03/2009 19:27

Oh how I would love to be at home curled up on the sofa right now Instead I am at work until 9pm and my boobs are killing, lucky I work on my own as I think people may start to talk about the lady who was rubbing her breasts!! (sorry probably too much info

Am at home but not curled up on sofa - have just finished helping ds1 to do homework, played buses with all our kitchen chairs with ds2 and am now going to curl up in our bed to read them their bedtime stories. All lovely, but how on earth am I going to do it with small baby too??? Reassurance please mothers of 3+ children!

BeckyBendyLegs · 18/03/2009 20:19

Hi all

I've been lurking for a while but not sure about joining yet. But I wanted to answer Kyte's question about third degree tear. I had a third degree tear with my eldest and had a very natural and lovely delivery with my DS2 and hope to have one again. It is possible. I was terribly nervous but the midwives were very reassuring and helped me realise that just because it happened before it won't necessarily happen again. I did tear a little bit but not a third degree.

By the way, I am five weeks today and due 18 Nov so please can I join! I'm a bit nervous about joining because I was on the 'due December 2008' thread almost a year ago and sadly had an MC. It's taken me 8 months to get pregnant again! I am still in shock! But I figure that even if it happens again it is lovely to chat to you all about the early symptoms, cravings etc.

I haven't had too much in the way of symptoms yet: just feel sick after breakfast! Also eating like a horse. Had a sausage buttie earlier and having chilli and rice now! Yum. I have two lovely DSs and am excited that this might be number three!

Hope you aren't all feeling too yucky yet...

NewhereHelp · 18/03/2009 20:27

While we're on the birth thing does anyone know if you have a CS can you have a natural birth afterwards?

My first DS got stuck in the birth canal and stopped breathing, he was 9lb 1/2oz - second DS was 2 weeks early and weighed 10lb 6oz he was delivered by emergency cs - hoping this DC will be a little smaller!

cupcakefairy · 18/03/2009 20:28

Hello everyone

I agree that the time seems to go soooo slowly. I knew pretty much from the day we conceived as we practise Natural Family Planning so as soon as my temperature was up higher than normal I knew I was pregnant...it's been a veeeery long 6 weeks!!

I have told my boss, and one other person at work. I had to tell my boss as I knew I'd be all over the place this week. She let me go home early today as I am a bit of a wreck (having really sleepless nights, nightmares and anety attacks and stuff...rubbish) it's really hard the rest of my team not knowing though, wish I could explain why I'm being so weird but I really want as few people to know as poss incase I do m/c.

ANYWAY. Friday is now the day after tomorrow. It's getting here, slowly!

And everyone who can't stop eating, I'm with you. Yesterday I ate almost a whole tube of Pringles by myself

alexdrake · 18/03/2009 20:28

Hi All, adding me to the list. We get 100% pay for 12 months, afraid to report we're not hiring! Hope you're all well.

Thanks for the gen on Southend helips guess there are worse sins for a maternity unit!

katster37 · 18/03/2009 20:34

Wow, there are so many of us on here now!!
Welcome, BeckyBendyLegs and sorry to hear about your mc last year.
Well, I have just had a big row with DH who, during Relocation, Relocation, for some reason trotted off to our bedroom to start repainting the walls!!! I was so cross! I\m going to bed soon and he starts painting the walls?!?! So the I showed him loads of stuff online about paint fumes damaging fetuses and now we're hardly speaking (partly because I accused him of not having a brain ) . Don't know whether to sleep on the settee since our bedroom stinks now. Grrrr.

southernbelle77 · 18/03/2009 20:35

I'm feeling so blimin sick tonight it's horrible!!

Beckybendylegs - I thought I recognised your name. I was also on the Dec 2008 thread but sadly miscarried too. Hopefully we will both get on better this time. Good luck.

BeckyBendyLegs · 18/03/2009 20:42

Oh hello southernbelle I remember you too! How strange we're both back again! Good luck to you too this time

I couldn't help laughing about your DH painting walls after watching Relocation, Relocation Katster. That is keen! He should have thought about fumes though. I'd be mad too.

Munchies37 · 18/03/2009 20:56

Hi all - I've been reading all the posts for ages now and been too nervous to register and join in. I'm pregnant for the first time and I'm only 6 weeks and 3 days. I found out I was at risk of redundancy on a Monday and found out I was pregnant on the Tuesday so have been in a total whirlwind. We're both so happy that I'm pregnant, but like everyone else I'm so scared about mc. I've hopefully put myself in the list OK and not knocked anyone else off! I've been feeling really tired and sick nearly all the time so having to force myself to eat and drink, but at least it's all in a good cause! Hope you are all doing OK.

pinkmich1972 · 18/03/2009 21:20

Thanks so much Newherehelp, just really worried about miscarrage and being to tired already, and how moaning i sound!
I just wish i was 12 weeks already, nice to here that i am not the only one with a gap between children xxx

NewhereHelp · 18/03/2009 21:24

I know what you mean and all the age related probabilities of everything - I'm going with blind optimism most of the time

pinkmich1972 · 18/03/2009 21:28

ha ha, well here i am again, oldest only girl turns 16 soon, and i am madly starting all over, actually bit worried about work, full time busy position?, when do you tell the boss? x

BeckyBendyLegs · 18/03/2009 21:33

I am 37 and number 3 too! But my other two are 5 and 3 years. I was a bit of a late starter!

I can't believe I am still awake.

pinkmich1972 · 18/03/2009 21:39

This will be number 4, one girl nearly 15, two boys 12 and 9, but i am 37 too, still awake and still at work, had to come back after full day and cover evening, i am mad mad mad, oh lots of us 37!
