Hi All

Just a quickie as should be working...!!

belgian can you tell me about your wardrobes?? I want exactly the same but hte sliding doors from Ikea won't fit as I need one and a half door sets... typical! Did you get the doors elsewhere or custom made?
Also for the inners how have you worked it out - ie what are your shelves and rails going to attach to if its just sliding doors on the front?? Sorry lots of silly questions no doubt but just wondering as have been mulling this over and getting stressed and frustrated for a few days!! Anyway it'll make a pleasanr change for you to have a nonMW query i guess

Much appreciated - hope you catch up on some sleep!

dandy I will suggest ocado again if my auntie can't pop over to help mum... she lives 40mins by car from us and although she visits mum and dad every friday she might not fancy taking mum to do her shopping. I will still end up doing her online shopping for her though as she can't work a computer!

well done on winning the jeans fikelly
hope you sell your flat soon

I might have to buy a girlie coming home outfit for LO too divedaisy just in case I have got a really cute powder blue Tigger babygrow and cute winnie the pooh jacket and hat (came with a bundle of neutral stuff off ebay) for a boy but nothing girlie girlie

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 05/03/2009 20:50

Evening all

I haven't been ignoring you - I have been in the most depressing ex-mining freakshow village at DD1's swimming gala (seriously, some of these Teesside places are properly inbred ). She got 2 Silvers and a Bronze, so we are properly proud of her And a gentleman offered me a seat ('twas ever so hot in there). My faith in humanity is restored.

Just going back to 'ooh you're big', Tummum you're spot on - it is like saying 'my god, you're fat!' to someone. I was pre-pregnancy a size 14 which isn't sylph-like, but is not huge either, just pretty normal really. I went down to a small size 10 after DD1 and was continually asked if I was ill!!!! I went down to a 12-14 after DD2, so have a history of losing baby weight (breastfeeding is so brilliant), I have been back in my normal jeans within a week of both.

I can feel a 'SO THERE' coming on, aimed at all those insensitive goons.

Fi Definitely on-line shopping, I'm with Belgian here (as another SPD sufferer it's a necessity).

LO is currently trying to break completely free from the feel of it (ouch!!!)

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 05/03/2009 20:54

Oh and divedaisy

Congrats about the shop!

FiKelly · 05/03/2009 20:56

Night Fi

I was in bed before 9 yesterday, DD2 likes getting up very very early too!!!!!

LoobyLou36 · 05/03/2009 21:08

That bl**dy cbeebies advert is doing my head in.

Glad it's friday tommorrow, it's been a busy week at work and am starting to struggle a bit when on my feet for long periods.Had to have a break and sit down today as I was having cramp-like pains under my bump and felt a bit odd. I feel okay now tho, think LO was just lying very low.

divedaisy · 05/03/2009 21:10

Thanks for all the congrats about the shop! I'm very at my achievements!!! (considering dh was in bulgaria skiing the week after the move when most of the sorting out and arranging was done; and employee disappeared on me - I don't know where he was for the few days I said I needed him, then he was at a comp - anyway he didn't get paid!!)

I thnk I'll try a regular mojito and a virgin one and see if I can tell them apart!! OH!!! I WANT ONE NOW!!!

I think I'll head off to bed now. DH at work and I fancy a cuppa and a read at my book. Thn I'll spend the rest of the night up ad down to the loo. Anyone else started the frequent trips to the loo?? Last night I was up every 30-45 mins until about 3am when I think there was nothing left inside me worth making into pee!! And then I wake up VERY thirsty - can't win can you??!

divedaisy · 05/03/2009 21:12

I am getting very frustrated with that roll-over add - I want to hit something . Please MN take it off!! ( OK I know it might be a spot of advertising, but can it go somewhere else?)

flippineck · 05/03/2009 21:25

Evening all! Sorry, haven't been around for a few days, and you're a chatty bunch.

Re bump comments - I saw a friend yesterday, hadn't seen her for a few weeks and the first thing she said was 'oh my goodness, where did all that come from?'. Gee, thanks! I must have looked a bit p'ed off about it because she quickly backtracked and mumbled about it being all bump and everything else was ok...she's one of those gym bunnies who's a size 6 and never clears her plate, grrr. Unlike me! Weighed myself, am nearly up to 2 stone weight gain so far, 31 weeks tomorrow. About the same as with DD.

The up side to looking pretty pregnant is that this evening I got offered seats on the tube and the bus! Miracles!

detsy · 05/03/2009 21:47

LOL at all the virgin mojito chat - I love these and have even bought a special muddler bar tool for squishing mint and lime to get the real effect. yum scrum and must also count as 1 of the 5 a day surely!!

A lady on the till in John Lewis said to me the other day - oh not long to go now then - she didn't know what to say when I said oh just 10 weeks

Think i'm about 2 stone up but now weighed myself - think i'm slightly less heavy than I was with lotti but don't really care as its just a moment in time which can be dealt with after May! Mind you took a lot longer than a week for me to get back in my jeans - in fact not sure I ever did get back in my faves before i was pregnant again,

divedaisy · 05/03/2009 22:04

Re bump sizes - All I get is 'you're very neat' - NEAT!?!? THIS!?!? Was speaking to 2 women outside DS BEavers hut, when one asked how i was etc etc. When the 2nd lady caught on to what we were talking about she exclaimed 'I never noticed' - WHAT?!?!? I do have a big bump. But from the front or back views I look kinda normal - you have to stand and look at me from the side!!!
Someone even said i must have 'good muscles' - what are they again?? Oh yeh - sea food!

Oh my nipples are tingling - so itchy! - need to go and give them a going over!!! LOL!!

divedaisy · 05/03/2009 22:06

OK i've had my bowl of Rice Snaps and a bucket of tea (so thirsty!) ... bets on how many times I get up to pee tonight??? I say 5 (not including the one I'll do before I get in) - any other takers!!?? Higher?? Lower (please!??)??

Nitey nite.xx

anyone still taking cocktail orders? i'd love a mojito as well. the mint would be so refreshing.

speaking of size, i'm going for my 'size check' tomorrow at MW. haven't weighed myself lately but seemed to be gaining more than last pregnancy when I weighed myself at 20 weeks. in any case, like Polony, i don't have much behind the bump so it does stick out boldly and make people comment or act surprised when I tell them i have 8 weeks to grow.

will check back with you tomorrow. good night. x

FiKelly · 06/03/2009 07:19

morning feeling much better for the early night. ds also slept through till 6am which is more manageable. sun is out and feeling more positive today.

detsy i wasn't back in any of my pre ds skirts or trousers before getting pregnant this time and ds is now 2.5yrs. i think i have lost weight off myself during this pregnancy so my nice pre ds summer stuff is looking more hopeful .

Morning FiKelly

Well I?m at work now and it looks like another busy day. Just hope I get some pay today.

Off to the PIL tonight for dinner, they?re going to pick up stepdaughter so saves my DH a trip. So no cooking for me! Trouble is we?re staying the night so doubt I?ll get much sleep - its hard enough trying to get comfy in own bed!

PIL are great tho, MIL is v.intereted in baby, my mum couldn?t give a toss! Shouldn?t be surprised tho - she didn?t even want to come to my wedding, she even tried to stop my dad from giving me away!

Oh well I?d better go and do some work.

I may have to go on ebay this weekend to get a couple of cute girlie outfits just in case, lol.

pulapula · 06/03/2009 08:21

Loobylou,

I think if you don't get paid, you need to take this up with ACAS or someone asap. I just worry they will hold off paying you throughout your last weeks before mat leave, and theres no point you working if you wont get paid for it. Do you know if you are the only one who hasnt been paid? worth asking around...

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 06/03/2009 08:34

Morning!

Tried to catch up but just skim read the last few posts...

Re bump size, I had loads of people telling me about a month ago that I was looking v big. All this week everyone's been saying that I look "v neat" and one person said she wouldn't necessarily have spotted I was pg!!!
I'm 31 weeks on Sunday and reckon I've put on just over 1.5 stone.

Loobylou - hope your pay issue gets sorted.

I've arranged to work from home today as my back pain has been awful the last few days. Not had much sleep the last couple of nights. I do an average of 3hrs per day driving with work and it has been causing lower back pain for about a month but this week in addition I have pain across my shoulders!

Also thought I was getting a migraine last night as my vision went blurry exactly like it does when I get a migraine (which is very rare). As usual, my vision was back to normal within half an hour but the anticipated headache never appeared. I know blurred vision can be a symptom of PE but I don't have any other PE symptoms and it did only last 30 mins so I think I'm ok.

It could have been stress affected as along with everything else, one of my colleagues at work has done something stupid which is classified as gross misconduct (can't go into details). He has been suspended pending a disciplinary interview which could lead to his dismissal. I've been approached about being his representative at that interview next week. Even though he's been really silly and there is an element of dishonesty, I feel for him. He's been under lots of stress at home and I really hope he gets away with a final written warning and demotion.

Sorry, I've rambled now...

FiKelly · 06/03/2009 08:36

dandy i remember you saying about your old mw comment... i meant to reply.. but was so glad you didn't have her anymore i got side tracked!

looby a night off cooking sounds great... hopefully the change in bed won't be too bad. Keep plugging away for your wages or it'll only get to be a larger and larger amount they owe you... If you don't push then someone else will and you'll end up at the back of the queue.

OP posts:
FiKelly · 06/03/2009 08:40

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon phew... does sound a bit stressful at work... good that you can work from home today and give your aches a rest from all that travelling too. I had pre-eclampsia last time with ds (very late on) and had no headaches/blurry vision... just extremely bad swelling of my hands/feet/ankles etc. So if you're feeling better this morning you should be ok... but you could always drop a wee sample into your local ante-natal ward if you're concerned and i'm sure they'll test it there and then.

OP posts:
SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 06/03/2009 08:49

Thanks FiKelly
It really was typical pre-migraine vision (just without the headache!) so as long as nothing else changes today, I'm sure it's fine.

llareggub · 06/03/2009 08:57

Morning all!

It's so cold here this morning. Our heating, weirdly, did not come on this morning so DS and I are curled up underneath blankets watching cbeebies. My feet are freezing! Baby was so active last night, and I got hardly any sleep, what with baby gymnastics and toddler wanderings at 3am.

After 2 weeks of maternity leave I finally remembered to switch off my radio alarm. I'm hoping at some point I'll get a lie in...hopefully tomorrow as DS is staying with his grandparents.

I've no idea if my bump is big or small as I am having growth scans every 4 weeks, but at the moment baby is on the 50th centile. I certainly don't feel small, I feel huge!
