FiKelly · 21/02/2009 22:30

detsy i need a mansion too... forgot to say yesterday... heard from the estate agents and YAY! the mum and daughter want to come back for another viewing... bringing hubby this time. Will be one day next week.. they're just figuring out when. Apparently she told the estate agent that our flat was the only one out of all the ones they'd seen that they were interested in

Thought I'd have a look at this nice spangly new thread before heading off to bed.
Thanks for the messages of concern for my ds. I hope it'll go soon, so he can stop scratching.

chocolatebunnies They can't really give your pethidine without stemetil, so they'd have to get both, but youd really have to check with your cmw what your trust's policy is regarding pain relief for hb. I know the trust I'm booked under doesn't, but I was OK with just the gas and air with my 2nd labour, so I don't expect it to be any different this time. 1st ones tend to be the longer labours. If I were you I'd get in touch with my mw to inform her that you'd decided to go for a hb and check if she wants to see you about it earlier. My cmw hasn't done anything more than just writing homebirth on the front of my notes, so she might not want to see you.

Detsy Nice bump, about the size of mine, I also can't imagine how on earth I'll be able to expand any more. Our living room looks about the same. It does get a little better when they're older, because the toys get smaller, but then at the same time you have a lot more We've got tiny 'Littlest Petshop' stuff all over the house from my dd, she's got a box full of them and amazingly knows exactly which ones she's got and if there's one missing. My ds is the same with his pokemon cards. If only they had the same memory skills for school stuff!

Belgianchocolates · 21/02/2009 22:48

dandy nice work with the list. Caps work just as well as bold and copies better, so maybe just keep it as that.

Goodnight everyone. Off to bed now!

FiKelly · 21/02/2009 22:49

My ebay purchase of the VBAC hypnotherapy cd's arrived today... have now got them loaded into my ipod so i'm off to bed to listen for a bit while dh is watching the last of match of the day... night night xoxox

evening ladies just wanted to say hi, not been on for while as got gammy eye and cant see properly! Got contact lense stuck and dug my nice new strong nails in whilst getting out!

Hope everyones doing well? Anyone getting funny short breathing when asleep? I feel like being suffocated but not sure if down to acid reflux again and also snoring like a trooper!

detsy · 21/02/2009 23:00

Oh smaller toys will be good (in about what 3 years or so... ) Lol about the kids memories - mind you I would be happy to have A memory. Still no engagement ring, considering a clairvoyant ring finder now and the insurance are sending an assessor round to check i'm not a fraudster - how they check god only knows!

Fi oh everything crossed for the flat girl, usually hubbies don't get much say at this sort of stuff so I'm so hoping you get your sale

Dandy much better list - thank you. Tho you say you are a growler, I think you must have the patience of a saint to trawl thru all those names and check everyone. I'd have just done it by "memory" (or lack of it ;) )

Nice new shiny thread!

dandy - well done on the new list!

belgian - hope all is ok with your LO. Have you considered the paediatric piriton for his itchiness? And I love the links to the swanky clothes for breastfeeding laydeez - have written them down next to the laptop (which is dp's, so hopefully he will look at the website addresses in amazement, wonder what they are, and look them up...)

Hehe re: the ladygarden chats! I too like to be, erm, trim - but I can't see down there now, and I always get confused with scissors in front of mirrors! Quite often go for the bwax (even did the whole thing once - aarrgh!) but they won't do the, um, snipping

Ahem!

Just watched Omen II on dvd - can't get comfy on the sofa - if I lie down I get heartburn, if I lean back I get wheezy from bunged up ness, so I have to lean forward with legs wide open like some old crone in olf films. Who said being up t'duff was glam? Those shiny ladeeez in all the mags with shiny and bouncy hair are all fibbers!

ps - is anyone London-esque going to the baby show thing next weekend?

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 22/02/2009 08:26

sausage

ROFL at your sitting conundrum but also at pregnant lady watching Omen II .

Awake nice and early this morning thanks to DD2. She has decreed that we are to go bowling for my birthday. That should be fun, me waddling with bowling ball in my belly and bowling ball in my hands too.

belgian

Hope your LO is ok, poor itchy one. I liked your clothing link too, not sure what DH made of it.

detsy

No dbl chin in sight! I reckon our bumps are similar, unfortunately for me I'm 2 weeks behind you!!!! Your lounge looks like an oasis of minimalist chic. Just looking at mine - toys, shoes, clothes, paper, pens, beer cans (DH, obviously), books, DVD's...........oh, and Tasmanian Devil aka DD2 whirlwinding around with the dog, creating more mess.

And as for ladygarden trimming, I had chosen to ignore this quandry but now I'm fretting about it, I have left it for quite a while. sigh

Febes · 22/02/2009 09:32

DD seems to have upped a gear the last few days. Yesterday she emptied a whole packet of cleaning wipes, pulled all clean folded washing off the table, went through the cupboards and empty everysingle last thing out of them and loads of other crazy things. She is exactly 15months today. I think I better take her out as much as possible today and wear her out. At least she sleeps 12 hours plus a 2 hour nap.

Detsy my lounge looks just like yours, I'm thinking it will get worse before it gets better .

LoobyLou36 · 22/02/2009 10:03

Just checking out the new thread.

Will catch up later. Off to buy some storage boxes to go under the beds. Where do you people manage to store all the stuff that comes with a baby?

I have been donated more baby clothes than I know what to do with, I know I shouldn't moan but its nice to choose stuff yourself too Altho having not been paid I should be grateful I guess.

divedaisy · 22/02/2009 11:35

Chocolatebunnies - my strimmer is a Remingtom BKT 2500 - I got it in Tescos a while back. It has different settings for various lenghts. Battery operated. Does the job! Wouldn't be brave enough to go for a Brazilian... Oh the thought of it! I do manage to shave around my knicker line - I can do it by touch! I did attepmt the trimmer last week but kinda feel like to poor sheep dog in the 'Spec Savers' ad - you know the one with the old shephard who does the sheep then his poor wee dog!! And ends up all patchy!!

Dandy - the list looks a lot better now. Well done. The asterix thing works by painfully putting an '*' before and after EACH word - it is so time consuming! ANd then is didn't copy soo was a bit of a waste of time! The bold is better - easy to read and does copy!

loobyLou - for baby stuff I saved the boxes I got with pampers or huggies I bought in Babies R Us - they came with a big plastic storage box... but that was 6 years ago. Bought living room furniture with storage baskets. Pop-up tidies are also very good for throwing toys into. The only problem is that baby toys are bigger and bulkier it is hard to put them away! Lidl, and Tesco sometimes do the collapsible storage crates too, that are also stackable.

divedaisy · 22/02/2009 11:48

I am so tired today. We spent Thurs, Fri and Sat moving stock from one shop to the new one. I did do some lifting (bended knees etc), but was absolutely in agony each night! DH was off Thurs & Fri and I am so glad he was cos I'd never have done it alone - and why should I!!?? But it did get on my tits a bit that he wouldnt stop talking to people and get on with it! I just was getting impatient and sore and wanted it all over and to get home!.. OK I admit I had a stroppy few days!!!! ANyway the reason for being in a rush to get it done, - DH is away all this week skiing/snow boarding and the keys have to be handed back by end of the month for the old premisses. All thats left for me to do really is vacuum and leave the place the way we took it on. But it is exciting! And amazing how 24 hours can change the look of a place. Its now painted, carpeted and the slat wall is going up. By Wed most of the stock will be on display too!!!!

Also I promised DS that he could sleep with me last night - what a mistake!!! He fidgeted most of the night! So I didnt benefit from being drop-dead tired last night. I'm going to get a long soak in the bath now and oomph myself up a bit and then take ds to Fun Works (indoor play zone) and he can tire himself out whilst I read my book and eat a fifteen and have a cuppa!

Have a lovely day gals - the sun is shining here!!! Absolutely gorgeous!

Hello everyone - I didn't make the cut! I've taken the liberty of putting myself back on again if that's OK. I know I haven't posted for a bit but its definately this month - that was me with the DH carted off to hospital in the middle of the night, placenta previa blah blah etc. etc.

No news as such, I think I'll have to go back to the end of the old thread to catch up on everyone's news. In the meantime - take care!

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 22/02/2009 13:23

Hi! Just checking in on the new thread!

divedaisy - I'm not suprised you're tired!! Sounds like a v hectic few days!

We're back from our London trip. The Mousetrap was great, but then I love going to the theatre
We had a nice meal beforehand too and then it was nice to stay in a hotel instead of rushing home afterwards
