Wow Tink, Bracken is really putting weight on well!

I've decided I had better start training for my big walk next year. I'll need over a year to get fit!

Astarte your little girl is stunning just like her sister and her mum.......

kookykid · 18/02/2009 21:43

LB - have posted on FB.

There's something wrong with my MN - it's absolutely HUGE! How can I get it back down to normal size? Does anyone know?

Thanks for all your responses to my post earlier. It really was such an enormous relief and I feel like I can finally think of my bean as a baby. The baby (!) wouldn't stay in the right place for the nuchal measuremnents to be taken so we were sent off for a walk. She did eventually get them, however, I really couldn't care less what the results are.

Off to London tomorrow to see some friends and family for the last few days of half term. Hope you all have a good few days (especially Glask and LB!).

Sparklytwinkletoes · 18/02/2009 21:47

Astarte, what a beautiful bouncy chubby yummy little girl you have! Big sis looks well pleased with you too!

Hope you're all settling well together.

I think I should be in bed, I'm absolutely crackered! I fell asleep at DS's bedtime but DH woke me up to get me to cook dinner see if i wanted to eat anything for dinner . Have had lovely tea of gammon, chips, butter beans, snap peas and pease pudding. YUM! Finished off with carrot cake - can't beat it

I'm a bit concerned about the eating - bloody hope there's not two in there!!! My trousers are getting tight too, so might have to go shopping but that's ridiculous isn't it? I'm only bloody 6.5 weeks!!!!!

HELP!

Also, Tink, got more symptom questions... keep having really hot flushes... is that OK? Is that part of the whole, lots more blood etc?

lardybump · 18/02/2009 21:52

Thank you all for your posts you have put the smile back on my face......

KK hope you have a lovely day tomorrow...

I am bound to have a boy now that dp and I have finally agreed on a girls name... It is sods law....

kayzr · 18/02/2009 21:54

That is the way LB. We had our girls name picked for DS2 before the scan she was going to be India Jean but we had no boys names at all. Of course he was a boy.

OP posts:
kayzr · 18/02/2009 21:57

STT I was meant to say that I was boiling for the first about 10 weeks of DS2's pregnancy.

I meant to tell you at the weekend. MIL has tols me not to have anymore DCs. 3 is an odd number she said so DH said "Well we'd really like 4" She then moaned about money and blah blah blah.

OP posts:
lardybump · 18/02/2009 22:04

It has nothing to do with MIL kay.... You are very youthful and there is nothing stopping you having as many as you like...... Me however I am an old crow and stopping at two.....

lardybump · 18/02/2009 22:08

Right I am off to bed now and hopefully not dd's bedroom floor..... I will catch up with you lovely ladies in the morning...

Night night.

kayzr · 18/02/2009 22:10

I know, if DC3 is a girl we will stop but if not we will might have a 4th.

idreamofbeanie · 18/02/2009 22:15

Evening everyone,

I've had a slightly mad day today. My mum came down to visit unexpectedly which was lovely but I had my first midwife appt today and mum didn't know I was pregnant. I also found out that my DB had found a villa to book for us all to go on holiday (he and SIL came into some money and had decided to book somewhere for us all over their DCs first birthday but I'll be 36 weeks pregnant then if all goes well). I completely caved and finished up telling mum, dad and DB I am pregnant. They are soooo excited for me and it was lovely to share my news although I'm still nervous. Midwifes appt was good too and very reasurring so I just have to wait for a scan date now.

Kayz - your MIL sounds like a nightmare!

Sparkly - LOL at eating for three or four. I've felt a bit like that too, I'm always hungry.

kayzr · 18/02/2009 22:26

IDOB, I've always felt 100 times better once family know. I don't know why but it all just seemed so much more real when people other than you, DP/DH and the MW know.

Diege · 19/02/2009 07:39

Morning! Hope everyone is well . Up early this morning to get dd3 to nursery, then I have to do some work and also have consultant's appointment this afternoon to check cervix length. Will try not to get embroiled in a discussion about the cpcs on my 20 week scan - have just started to feel ok about it, and don't want to have to go through it all again if that makes sense!
Better get breakfast - have already burnt one lot of toast!

Astarte · 19/02/2009 07:52

Morning...

I can't be the first one up .

I haven't checked out fb yet LB, will do so after this post.

Kooky I'm so pleased the scan went well for you and Ses I'm glad it's slowly becoming all real

I'll have to apologise i can't actually remember much more other than no one gave birth yet

Finger is likely to have been broken but there isn't much to be done now 0 days later, or presumably then either, and is infected, so I'm on antibiotics.

Baby is feeding really well and we went out and about yesterday as I had to buy my dad a wii for his 60th birthday this weekend. I think there were rather a few people quite surprised that she was in the sling, shopping at 2 days old!
One little old lady asked me if she was mine lol.

Have started using my PN corset today so feel rather slim .

Off for breakfast with Dd1. Kids are still loving her atm, Ds2 even gave her his blankie yesterday and stroked her tummy .

Diege · 19/02/2009 07:59

Nah, beat you to it by 13 minutes .
Wow, all credit to you getting out and about so early! Didn't realise you had a broken finger - must be painful . Do you have to wear one of those james-bondy looking finger slings? Oh and let me know where you got your PN corset from - have seen some in spanx that look good!

kayzr · 19/02/2009 08:03

Morning,

Diege, I think Astarte has the same corset as me. Its from Agent Provocateur. I've been wearing mine recently too but I nearly die, so can't keep it on for long!!

It's this one

Morning all. I have had another bad night and spent most of it on DD's floor...... She is a poorly little girl at the moment. DP told me off and said I should wake him but i finally got to sleep at 4 this morning and he has to get up at 4.30 for work so it really wouldn't be fair for me to ask him to deal with it.... Besides i need him to have his rest so he is able to help me more when baby comes IYSWIM...

Astarte so sorry but i must have missed it how on earth did you break your finger and how did it get infected? Have you broken the skin as well??

I really can not wait to see little one now I am praying S&S works today, but worried I may not be ready. Bump is still very high and all symptoms have gone....

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 19/02/2009 08:58

Morning!

Am sitting in waiting area for GTT. There are 7 people in front of me and I have a facial booked in town at 10...

LB - sounds like an awful night. Poor you and poor DD

Astarte - all sounding good!

Kay - absolutely none of ur MIL's business how many DC you have. My mum's a bit like this. She's said "You're not going to have lots and keep churning them out are you?" I've just told her I want to have one before thinking about more. Not told her my dreams of 4 3 within 5 yrs!

Diege - hope ur appointment goes ok. Is DD3 making the most of having you to herself?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/02/2009 09:18

Morning all

Good luck for the GTT Ses, hope you dont miss your facial...

STT- would enjoy the eating whilst you can definately a benefit of being pregnant keep wanting to eat loads but heartburn stops me even going near kitchen

Ast- great to hear you are out and about... Finger sounds really painful though...

Are you using the coorie sling? We got ours and it feels really high up (but its hard for me to try it out at the moment really!)should it sit well up over the chest on the carrier?

LB- will look on FB...

Morning Diege hope you dont burn second lot of toast...
