40+2
Mild BH last night so went to bed early in case I needed to get up in the night. Was woken up by one almighty contraction.....think towards end of first stage.....actually shouted out it was that strong and it was pulling very tight up inside me. Then I had a couple more, which I sat on the end of the bed for, then nothing.
Pee'ing like a cart-horse at least 4 times a night and getting no sleep. Also had night sweats Monday and Tuesday nights, which normally i wouldn't get until I've delivered maybe I've had my baby and left her somewhere not realising?

Baby still moving fine but not as much, which yes is normal LB, but you should still get 10 kicks/prods everyday. Hope it kicks off for you

Only got today to get through without Dh then we'll be okay 'til Monday again.

Hope everyone is well. LBOT that sounds just like first movements . Have a good day everyone

Got your fb email OhSnap, will send when I've got a minute.

lardybump · 12/02/2009 08:20

Astarte you could have your baby today!!!!! I am keeping everything crossed for you..

Astarte · 12/02/2009 08:35

OhSnap might remember my evilness from the last pg/impending birth, but I've started this morning, so she must be close
Dh couldn't find the mobile this morning so was walking round the house ringing it from the home phone.
He looked really frantic, muttering about meetings and he really needed it etc.....I ate a hobnob and watched him flap.....when he eventually recovered it from under the sofa (covered in something we can only presume the LO had) I nonchalantly stated I didn't know why he was bothering, as I couldn't be sure I'd remember to ring him

This threw him into even more of a panic! He made me promise (twice) to ring him as he was going out the door hehehe!

Know what.....I don't care

lardybump · 12/02/2009 08:59

you nasty monkey.... Still it is all understandable....... and you shouldn't care they have it so easy that a bit of grief will do them good...

I said to dp last night that i was a bit nervous about the birth as baby has gone back to back AGAIN.... He said it would be ok (He was watching the football so I knew he was not taking any notice of me and only making the right sounds) I got a bit upset and said he would never know what it feels like!!!!! He answered "dont forget lardy that I gave birth first 9 months ago"...... did make me laugh though.....

Needless to say he will suffer when the time comes. Might get the MW to lower the bed onto his knees or something... (or maybe drown him in the pool)....

So what is the plan for today are you staying at home or out and about again???

Astarte · 12/02/2009 09:26

Hmm I don't know. Atm I'm favouring a jama day and playing 'peep-oh' with LO as I type.
If I start with BH I might get walking around the house, but I don't think I would go out with the 3 of them without Dh.

Had 4 phonecalls so far this morning .
I'm finding it a bit bizarre that everyone wants to know the intricacies of my cervix and S&S, but no one actually wants to visit the house in case I labour whilst they're here.

Apparently my mum's friends are ringing her every morning, so she rings me then rings them all back

Will have GOF tonight I think if no baby. Would've last night but Dh was worried about being at work today if it started things off. He's off tomorrow, so tonight is business-time

Sounds like you're getting along better LB

Diege · 12/02/2009 09:41

Morning you two! Sounds very exciting, although I take comfort from the fact that I have months left . Like the attitude ASARTE with dh - treat 'em mean and all that
LB, get your dh to hold you in a supoorted squat position for the delivery - that will make him labour , lol at his 'labour' 9 motnhs ago - if it were only so easy .
Antoehr bad night, this time a pair of yowling mating cats on the front lawn. Dh got up to pull them apart [ewwwwww]but I (as usual) couldn't get back to sleep so have been awake since 4. Have hairdresser coming at 11 (she's on maternity leave hence the home visit but I am cruel and insisted she must come and do my roots ). Have also found 50 rogue exam scripts behind the back of the sofa - not impressed, so will just have to, ahem, speed mark . Just as accurate of course in case any exam people are lurking[paranoia]
Hope everyone is well

tinkislittlemissshopping · 12/02/2009 09:51

Astarte · 12/02/2009 11:04

Ooooohhhhh!
Codeine is your friend Kayz.

It's snowing here, quite heavy too, looks lovely.

Astarte · 12/02/2009 11:13

Ses I'm thinking of asking my GP to prescribe me some rather powerful painkillers for the after-pains.
I already have paracetamol and codeine tablets, Boots' own , but I'm a bit worried they might not be strong enough for birth no.4.

A few people I have spoken to used Diclofenac, but with it being an NSAID I can't take it, what are the alternatives?

lardybump · 12/02/2009 11:36

My p&T is here and I have put it up and love it....... Astarte there are two black bungs with it that I dont know where they go, any ideas.......

DD loves it she keeps saying my bed my bed...... he he he he

Astarte · 12/02/2009 11:40

Um, are they to fit into the holes where the doubles seat sits when you convert it back to a single buggy?
I've had mine set up to double-mode from the off and have used it for the LO so he gets used to which seat is his, so I think my end caps are still in the box.

Yay for buggy though, by that was quick too

I'm having jacket pot's n cheese again, I reeeeally fancy them atm.

lardybump · 12/02/2009 11:43

Oh that makes sence silly me...

Right I am off now to try and do some housework, will be back later on!!

ohsnap · 12/02/2009 11:58

I think the plugs can be for if you don't use the bar on the front too. I've never used mine either. Impressed how quickly you got it

Yay for bad temper Astarte, you know she'll be here soon.

Boo for bad nights and hurty things.

I'm so angry today, our barn architect is such a useless prick, we're just waiting for him to finish the bit he's doing then we're sacking him and using someone else for the rest. Aaaaaaaaaaargh, I'm so frustrated my head might pop.

And breeeeeeeeeeeeeeathe.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/02/2009 12:44

Hello people

LB- that was quick delivery of the P&T...

Hi Ast, now I really fancy jacket and cheese ... No pant snot updates today? Im disappointed!!

Hello Ohsnap

Tink- just saw a Wispa easter egg! thought of you!

Just back from shopping - but I think my Mat leave shopping days are numbered... walking around gives me agonsising SPD pain and stitch like pains all over bump which I think are prob BHs as belly goes like a rock.. nearly cried when I was overtaken in shopping centre by OAPs walking with sticks!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/02/2009 12:47

OS- are you doing a barn conversion?

Diege · 12/02/2009 13:02

Ahh roots are done, feel human again Poor hairdresser is 37 weeks, so the pair of us leaning over edge of bath to rinse was very comical. In the end I had to do it myself - or the alternative was getting in the shower which seemed too much work!

LB, that's such fast delivery of the p&T. Can I be nosy and ask where you got it from?

ASARTE, can't be much longer now surely
. Also fancy jacket spud and cheese now, but having my usual fisherman's pie and beans. Think it's been 3 months on the run now that I've had it for lunch, although I do on occasion alternate with a linda macartney lasagne.. Oh and fwiw the diculfenac (sp??) didn't touch my after pains with no.3, though have some stashed as don't know how bad it would have been without them. Would be interested to hear SES if there's anything better out there! Great to have our own wagon pharmacist

HI GYO - take it easy! Maybe a spot of internet shopping instead?

OHSNAP, how far along are you with the barn conversion? Sounds exciting, if more than a little stressful!

Right, microwave has pinged!

tinkislittlemissshopping · 12/02/2009 13:07

TINK salivates over images of wispa egg and jacket with cheese [drooling smiley]
have had lovely time playing with dd1 this morning dd2 just slept in bouncer.
have just made an appmnt for sat morn to have hair cut and styled @ toni and guy. hair getting 2 long.
looking 4ward 2 getting watch

Astarte · 12/02/2009 13:11

No in fact a suspicious lack of pant-snot

Needing a wee loads tho' and not just a dribble. Honestly, the end of pg is not unlike the Krypton Factor is it? No memory left, an inability to figure out a basic task and moving round is akin to the assault course!

Snowing very heavy here now. Have told Dh to come home as I'm worried about the roads. They've (gritters) been taken by surprise and are only just heading out on the major roads .
He's had the same thought and is setting off before 2pm, hurray! I feel so safe when he's here

LB OhSnap is right I vaguely remember the caps being something to do with the bar thingy that fits on the front, but I don't use it, which would explain why it's in the box.

OS why is your architect a nob?

kayzr · 12/02/2009 13:13

Astarte, we have loads of snow too. It's slowly getting heavier.

Also we had loads of Codiene that I was given by gp when I had my kidney infection. Well DH using his wisdom took them to the chemists the other day as he said we didn't need them anymore. Paracetamol isn't helping my back.

tinkislittlemissshopping · 12/02/2009 13:15

astarte lol
we have sun here:~_)

tinkislittlemissshopping · 12/02/2009 13:15

does anyone bother 2 get eyebrows shaped?

Astarte · 12/02/2009 13:18

Ooh Diege, just you wait mate, I'll still be here when you're due heckling encouraging you into agony birth

Know what you mean about the painkillers. I sobbed, wracked with pain for dc3, it's the only bit I'm frightened of tbh.

I've asked my mum what she used and she said she didn't get any that she remembered with no.3 .
Then she remembered she'd had a c-section due to placenta praevia and was morphined to the eyeballs for 5 days of her 2 weeks stay afterwards, daft bint!

GYo what are you buying?

I wonder if Gruff is feeling better?

Where are HN and 2BG too?

Astarte · 12/02/2009 13:25

once a month Tink.

Ah Kayz! send him out for some more, I don't think i've ever took anything back to the chemists, is that normal practice?

When my grandma died she had boatloads of various medicines, which I think my dad took to the hospital pharmacy, but she had some unidentifiable stuff we didn't even know she'd had prescribed so he thought it best.

Jacket n cheese was delish

My Chiropractors office have just rung me to see how I'm doing and have I had the baby, which is nice!
