kayzr · 11/02/2009 13:44

Just a quick post. I was a bit naughty earlier and wasted £1 on a scratchcard. I won £30!!! Dh said I could treat myself so I got 2 jigsaws(I love them), got ds1 a thomas jigsaw and some balloons(he asked for them). I might buy a lottery ticket saturday!

KAYZ you lucky thing

lardybump · 11/02/2009 14:04

right ladies i have a question to ask......

cough em it is quiet embarrasing and TMI for sure......... right here goes cough emmmmmmmmm

I had the swab done last week and all clear and everything ok but was told to treat myself for thrush just in case... This I have done and all ok... I have just been to the toilet and my underware is (cough ) damp not wet but a little damp and there was a bit of clear jelly like stuff as well. No colour at all and no smell....

Have had no more pains or tightenings....

So what do you think??

lastboxoftampons · 11/02/2009 14:11

LB - I'm no doctor, but it sounds like it's just normal discharge. I don't know if this is true, but do you think your body may produce it's own um secretions in order to fight off an infection like that? Could be some byproduct?

lardybump · 11/02/2009 14:17

I dont know what it is... cant be infection as I have been checked and cant be thrush as i have treated myself already..... could be just normal pg discharge I suppose but havent had it until last week then it went and now it is back....... I am not too worried and there is no colour or smell to it so I think i will just leave it and see what happens...

Astarte · 11/02/2009 14:31

Lb you numbnut, that's a show!

It can come away as either a big glob of gloop, clear, white-ish or even pale yellowy, sometimes blood streaked/brown.

OR it can come away gradually in stages and resemble closely EWCM, you could be (like me) wiping that away for days.

Good news it's a sign everything is softening up ready for birth....so excited for you.

Back from M/w have had another sweep, rather better than before, no pain, she had a bloody good rummage as well.
Cervix has progressed since last sweep on Friday so something is definitely happening
Had some lunch and went for a walk, could have set things off. Baby soooo low and although BH are not painful there is so much pressure lung low under my ump and round my back. Bit like when you are dying for the loo.
So I'm pacing, stair-climbing etc trying to let gravity do it's thing.....will try to update if there is actually anything happening.

GruffaloSoldier · 11/02/2009 14:32

Hello again,

well done on your win Kayz

Diege - I have always thought pronounciation was Deej, I used to LOVE that programme Roseanne, used to be on straight after Cheers. Loved that too Ahh the good old days.

Gyo - I have not moved from the sofa either except to have more diarhoea Thought it was gone for good, but no seems not. And now I have a headache again - grr! Anyway - glad you are having a nice relaxing day afte your busy one yesterday! I am thinking after all this time off this week I may have to go on maternity leave later - we shall see.boo!

LB - sounds like normal discharge to me, doesn't seem out of ordinary so I certainly wouldn't be worried but you know your own body though so do what you are happy with.

GruffaloSoldier · 11/02/2009 14:34

ooh x posts Astarte - all sounds very hopeful!LOL at good old rummage

lardybump · 11/02/2009 14:35

Oh Astarte I am keeping my fingers crossed for you it all sounds good and you sound much happier...

I so hope it is a show.... I am going to cling to that now astarte......

Astarte · 11/02/2009 14:41

Pant snot has never been so fascinating has it?

Aw Gruff, bless your sore little bot. It's horrid having the runs at the best of times

FWIW I thought Diege was pronounced 'deej' just from the way it was spelt (to rhyme with siege). I loved those two shows too Gruff

How can I use a birth ball to get her press down on my cervix? Each time I sit on it the pressure and BH go. I mustn't be doing it right
Might just go for another walk round the park....

ohsnap · 11/02/2009 14:47

Yay for knicker slugs you two, sounds like you might be in for a race!

I never found bouncing on a ball helped in that way, more to sit on to get comfy when large. With DD2 walking 2.5 miles pushing DD1 in the pushchair did the trick, but Astarte with your speed record it might not be so wise to get that far from home, we don't really want minigoddess popping out under the local swings!

Keep us updated won't you, you two?

lardybump · 11/02/2009 14:47

Astarte I thought you bounce on it....

lardybump · 11/02/2009 14:49

Ohsnap yuck and knicker slugs...... But you are right it looks just like EWCM..... Astarte I agree dont go far just walk around the block or something.... I think that there will be another waggon baby tonight.....

lastboxoftampons · 11/02/2009 14:51

Oh, I didn't remember that you were that far along LB! I get people confused sometimes! But OF COURSE you should listen to Astarte - sounds great! a show! How exciting!

AStarte - glad things are progressing! Think Astartina will be making her appearance tomorrow which, um, just happens to be the date I picked!

Another DEEJ pronouncer here!

Astarte · 11/02/2009 14:55

If I bounce or jump on anything, I swear I'll piss myself!

I'm off round the local park, no swings sadly, otherwise I'd stop for a go

My mum's advice was fantastic this morning, "don't go too far because you have to come back". She should write a book with gems like that.
Needless to say I'm now screening her calls too.

I have just grossed out Dh though which I'm rather proud of ...he said "take the mobile with you in case you need me"

to which I replied " won't need to, just follow the trail of slime" hehehehe, even he looked disgusted

Remember the sign on the Wagon front "No such thing as TMI" I reckon I might've just made the exception there.

Ohsnap when I figure out how to text from this phone I'll email you my number, might be later on though.

GruffaloSoldier · 11/02/2009 14:56

LOL - never realised shows could be so entertaining. Definitely going to use 'knicker slugs' when my time comes. That and fanjo and my mw will probably be quite impressed

ANother delivery man just witnessed me in my hot pjs, Im going to start getting a reputation round here

lardybump · 11/02/2009 15:02

Get walking Astarte I am going to climb the stairs a few times me......

kayzr · 11/02/2009 15:20

Another "Deej" person here.

Oooh we could have 2 wagon babies in 1 week!!!

Glask has had more show and bleeding but been to hospital and all is well but she needs to hold on for another 6 weeks at least.

idreamofbeanie · 11/02/2009 15:30

Oooo how exciting Astarte and LB (but yuck at knicker slugs, still too much of a newbie not to pull a girlie face at those coments!). I be checking my laptop regularly tonight for updates.

Well I've just been to the docs to get this pregnancy on the books. I was kind of dreading it after the experiences of some of the ladies on the due Oct 09 thread - one was told by her GP not to get her hopes up as most pregnancies end in mc ! Luckily my GP was lovely. Just said congratulations, listened to my heart, asked if I had any questions then told me to relax and enjoy it. I came out feeling so happy and positive, it was just what I needed. I have been really worrying and feeling a bit blue this week but as he said there is nothing I can do to prevent a mc so I'm going to make an effort to put it out of my mind.

PS - I was going for the exotic, spanish-sounding version of Diege but now I know where it comes from I'll always think 'deej'. I loved roseanne.

Sorry you are still ill gruff.

kayzr · 11/02/2009 16:08

Can you have a look here and tell me your honest opinions?

Thanks.

Diege · 11/02/2009 16:11

IDOB, you'll soon be knicker slug-ing it with the best of us . Glad your GP appointment went so well

ASARTE, have high hopes that your labour will start in next 24 hrs. Love your mums words of wisdom

Thanks for update on GLASK KAYZ - good to see that she is at least receiving swift attention, though must be very nerve wracking. Please send her our love xxx

LB, agree sounds like a bit of show to me. Only had one with dd1, minutes before full blown labour kicked off, though did get what can only be described as 'vaseliney' discharge a few days before labour with dd3.

Looks like it's the great slug race between ASARTE and LB!!

Diege · 11/02/2009 16:14

Interesting idea KAYz, and I can see the attraction with the outlay of camping being so high, esp for large families. You'd probably need to shed out a bit for gear at first (though could get business loan)but could be very profitable. Might be worth doing a bit of market research so that you can see who the competition is? You're certainly in the right part of the country though!

lastboxoftampons · 11/02/2009 16:16

Kay - are you in an area where people would go camping? Think it might work if you were. But it strikes me as something that would require lots of storage space. Do you have that? And do you have ideas on how you would market yourself? Seems that there would be little overhead, but you probably do need to take laundering into account (not sure I'd want to sleep in a sleepingbag that someone else used - and who knows for what purpose!

IDOB laughing at the exotic, spanish souding Diege - like Diego?

Astarte your poor DH must have a really strong stomach! I'm having visions of you frolicking at the local park all by yourself with a slime trail behind you! Love-ly!

Gruff I'm sure the delivery men have seen worse!

Guys, I ~think~ I'm feeling flutters! I keep getting a bit of a tap, tap, tap feeling on the front of my stomach about half way down from my bellybutton. It tickles and makes me giggle almost, but I can only feel it if I'm quiet and sit forward. Does this sound like it?
