Hi all:

Just fully caught up and don't remember a thing!

But Ohsnap and GYO about your mothers!!!! What intrepid grandmas!!! Hope they're feeling better.

Hope you're feeling better too Gruff!

Cosmo, sorry you're feeling so rough again Hope it gets better soon.

Nat washer/dryer sounds a nightmare - hope they can fix it. We had a washer dryer combo in a flat and I really didn't like it - seems it wasn't very good at washing or at drying...

Astarte hoping things move along soon!

Hello to everyone else!

Rang midwives last week because I hadn't received my blood results in the post yet and have to see community midwife next Monday and they said that my rubella vaccination test came back inconclusive But I had blood drawn in october while still TTC and that came back normal - went to the midwife unit today because they said I had to have the test repeated and got scolded for not having my notes with me. I didn't know I'm supposed to carry them EVERYWHERE! what a pain!

Astarte · 09/02/2009 12:27

I can understand that you feel down Kayz, it's a very tough decision to make. If you feel the need for a break you take one, we'll all be here for you when you need us

You've been through a heck of a lot in the last 3 months, a house move, a new baby, feeding difficulties, family issues and sadly now the dog. It sounds more than enough for any of us
Maybe some time just being a family of four with no plans for the immediate future is what you need. No changes iyswim. If I'm rambling just tell me to shut up....

lardybump · 09/02/2009 12:28

um do I smell????? actually dont answer that i probably do..... Shall I copy this poem for you???

Astarte · 09/02/2009 12:31

LBOT you will rapidly discover you are not allowed to give birth without those friggin notes!
It's the one thing about AN clinic at the hosptial, which drove me nuts.
One auxilliary nurse actually said to me (pg with Dd1) "what's the point in coming here if you don't bring the notes for us to write in?"
Dh retorted acidly "we had presumed that mother & baby would've sufficed actually, but we now stand corrected."

GruffaloSoldier · 09/02/2009 12:31

as long as you put who it is by LB I think its fine? or can you do a link?

anyone else?

pooh wondered what that stench was

Astarte · 09/02/2009 12:31

what poem? have I missed something? what do you smell of LB?

Astarte · 09/02/2009 12:33

oh just scanned and caught that post LB, yes please link to a poem would be lovely

lardybump · 09/02/2009 12:34

very good retort from dh there astarte... I am ashamed to say I smell of sick lady at the moment. You know the smell when you are not feeling well and havent got dressed.....

GruffaloSoldier · 09/02/2009 12:37

Ah Lardy, I was just wondering whether to get dressed or not. Really cant be bothered though...

lardybump · 09/02/2009 12:42

astarte I have emailed it to you. Can not find a link

lardybump · 09/02/2009 12:42

Gruff have also emailed it to you... it will make you smile... No dont get dressed slum it like me and dd....

lastboxoftampons · 09/02/2009 12:47

Kay I'm really sorry

Astarte, LOL at your DH! Seriously, can they not do anything without your hospital number? I need to put it in my phone! The plastic folder that I keep all my maternity stuff in doesn't fit in my bag very well, and don't want the notes to get all dog eared so don't carry them around or they'll be illegible by July!

Lardy and Gruff - poor you! I think it's best to stay in your PJs as long as you can! Who cares if you smell! (although I'm sure you don't!)

So, can we talk movement for a minute? When did you start to feel it and what did it feel like? I'm still not convinced there's anything in there (despite my ~ahem~ portly appearance) but I know it's really early to feel anything.

Astarte · 09/02/2009 12:49

I was sick of the neighbours seeing me in my jamas as I pootle about the house so I'm dressed today.

I know the smell you mean LB

Haven't got email yet, but we've been having problems with our account recently. Can you cut & paste it onto the fb group with an acknowledgment of who wrote it maybe? That's a closed group, shouldn't be too many prob's with that?

Are you okay Kayz?

Astarte · 09/02/2009 12:51

CMW are generally fine if you forget something like notes, urine sampe etc, it just seems to be the hospital AN ones round here. Honestly LBOT, in their eyes you simply aren't pg unless those nots say you are and you can produce them on demand!

lardybump · 09/02/2009 12:55

all done you have to go and look... I put it on the wall and it is 2 posts long...

GruffaloSoldier · 09/02/2009 13:03

Hey LB- just read my email. That is very sweet

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 09/02/2009 13:05

Hello! Back from pilates. Not sure enjoy is the right word but I'll definitely be going again. Amazing how much you can stretch your muscles without moving very much! I also struggled a bit with co-ordinating the breathing.
What was nice though was that there was only 4 of us with the "teacher". 3 of us 24-31 week pg between us and one new mum who brought her 2 month old DD with her.

LB - I've had a look at the Purple Ronnie poem on FB and it is really lovely. I'm going to send it to some of my friends.

Kay - sorry you're having such a rubbish time. If a break will help then I understand but don't take a break for fear of dragging us down - we're all here to support eachother and would miss you if you weren't around.

Sorry for not properly catching up on the morning but I must get off to work now!

kayzr · 09/02/2009 13:10

I think I have had enough of this new MN. It was showing me on Threads I'm On as being the last person to post. But you have all posted since.

Astarte · 09/02/2009 13:11

That is sweet LB.

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 09/02/2009 13:11

It keeps doing that to me too, Kay!

lastboxoftampons · 09/02/2009 13:12

LB - very cute! I'm sure they've made that into a book - I've read it somewhere else and it's got to be that I was reading it to my friend's DS as they've just had their second a few weeks ago.

Ses glad you 'enjoyed' pilates. I've always preferred it to yoga - think because it stretches much of the same bits as ballet would- lots of dancers supplement with pilates classes especially when they're injured and unable to take full class/rehearsasl days.

GruffaloSoldier · 09/02/2009 13:13

I have a very itchy left nipple and its driving me nuts! Any ideas?

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 09/02/2009 13:16

LBOT - meant to say that I first thought I might possibly be feeling movements around 18 weeks. It felt like wind low down in the intestines that then didn't really move through my intestines so I concluded it wasn't wind at all but the baby and within 2-3 weeks it became more frequent and noticeable and so I've decided it is the baby! Hope that sort of makes sense??!

Astarte · 09/02/2009 13:16

scratch it!
