Hi everyone!

Thought it were about time I updated my details. My scan seems like ages away still.

GYO saw your FB status.... Congrats on going on maternity leave! Makes it all seem real doesn't it?! Make sure you get lots of sleep credits in while you can!

Up til now I've been loving the snow, but have to admit to being a bit tired of it now. Our road is one big sludgy yucky mess.

Hope all OK, Astarte.

Have been for my massages . Loved the full body and Indian Head, not a huge fan of Reflexology, but it wasn't unpleasant.

Well, lots of pressure and BH, but not moving into anything else. Will go back to GP/mw on Monday to get checked again. Have m/w appt on Wed and they will sweep me again.
The risk I face is that if symptoms continue they will knock my hwb on the head.

Pool over-heated GYo (it was my fault though) and when I got up this morning the water was cold with the m/w due to arrive within 2 hours (cue panic stations).

I'm off to have an Indian Takeaway, maybe a beer and SEX.
Still reckon Sunday for arrival.

Will now go catch up.

Oh btw before I went for my massages I was in a god awful foul mood....think it could be a sign?
I told Dh and the kids not to speak to me just before I left
I do remember Kayz feeling very similar shortly before she laboured, is that right Kayz?

Yes Astarte that is right. I was really really grumpy!!

I am very pissed off with BIL. We told MIL about Pixie, she have of course told SIL and BIL. So BIL left me this message on FB "hear you got a dog, As you can tell news travels fast. i here its a staff i take it your not worried of having that type of dog around kids"

ARGH!!!!!!! She is a staffie cross and she will be very well trained. Staffie's are actually known as the nanny dog because they are so good with children. It is just unfortunetly they have been picked by some horrible people to be their 'hardman' dogs.

Fingers crossed for Sunday

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 06/02/2009 19:44

Just home from work and feeling sorry for myself
Couldn't get away on time and then had bad snow on journey home. At one point couldn't see the road markings on dual carriageway and I just got really scared. Turned radio off and concentrated as much as I could. Journey took just under 2hrs and half of that was in the snow. I'm useless in snow and ice as I once wrote a car off on ice. Home now and DH is on the phone trying to sort out our wireless connection so couldn't talk. I came upstairs and sat and cried for 10 mins. How pathetic!! I think it had just built up whilst I was concentrating on my driving. I think I might have a bath to relax me.
I'm meant to be working tomorrow 30 miles away and have to be there by 9am so that the shop can open so I hope the snow stops and the temperature lifts.

Sorry - I know I'm not the only one who'll have been travelling and struggling. I just hate it and I hate being so pathetic!!

Will go and catch up on all the chat on here from today...

kookykid · 06/02/2009 19:47

Oooh, here's hoping it won't be long, Astarte!!! Another wagon baby (and you're one of the 1st people I remember getting your BFP way back when). Fingers crossed for your HWB.

No worries, Gruff.

Sickness has been really really bad again- hence why i haven't been on today... haven't been able to catch up properly, just wanted to pop in and say Hi- hope your on your way Ast- will try and get online tomorrow properly to catch up.

kookykid · 06/02/2009 19:59

Sorry, Ses, X-posted.

I really understand how you feel about the driving thing and I'm not surprised you cried when you got in. You carry so much tension when driving in bad conditions and I swear it's worse when you're pregnant as your senses are heightened to keep you and bub safe. Is there any way you can get out of going tomorrow? Hope the bath helps you relax and that DH can give you some TLC.

Glask sorry for your continued sickness.. hope you feel better very soon.

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 06/02/2009 20:18

Thanks Kooky. In the bath now and posting from my phone. Lying back with a facemask on and a couple of candles lit.
DH came in to see how I was and jokingly told me I was pathetic and that if I wanted something scary, he'd show me and he promptly dropped his trousers and shoved his back side towards me!
I'll have to try and go tomorrow as I'm the duty pharmacist and by law they can't open without a pharmacist on the premises. As it's a store inside a drs surgery they do at least close at 1pm which is something I suppose...
Anyway, how are you??!

GYo - congrats on finishing work. Am v jealous! Make the most of the next few weeks though!

kayzr · 07/02/2009 08:36

Morning,

I am here to moan again. I am actually crying My SIL(the other one) has left me a really snotty message on FB about the puppy and then f*cking asks if she can have the boys for a weekend!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am seriously thinking of moving back to Norfolk to live with my Dad so we never have to see them again!!!

OP posts:
idreamofbeanie · 07/02/2009 09:32

Morning,

Kayz - sorry your ILs are giving you such a hard time. I know it's hard but try not to let them get to you. My MIL is a total cow so I know it's difficult but just remember it's them being crap and it's not your fault.

Ses - hope you had a better drive today. LOL at DH showing off his butt. Do they ever grow up?

Kooky - how exciting to be 10 weeks.

Glask - sorry the sickness is still hanging around. Hope you are feeling better today.

Gyo - hooray for maternity leave! Enjoy all the relaxing.

Asarte - will keep checking for news.

Well I finished up spending yesterday morning in bed and felt a bit better in the afternoon. Don't know if a had a bug or was just over-tired. Made sure I had a snack before bed last night and I woke up around 4am feeling queasy but sipped a little OJ and went back to sleep. Slept 10 hours last night! Can't believe how much sleep I seem to need just now. Have my first appt with the midwife in 2 weeks so fingers crossed I get that far and it will start to feel a little more real/official.

GruffaloSoldier · 07/02/2009 09:54

Morning everyone

Im very glad it is Saturday! I have found this really hard, despite taking DH to work with me all week and haing so much help. Am going to do nothing but relax today!

Kayz - sorry to hear about ILs. I would not tolerate that snotty message and tell SIL if she leaves messages like that again she will not be seeing boys FULL STOP! Grrr families!

Anyone up to anything exciting today?

Diege · 07/02/2009 10:17

Morning! Sorry to hear about the bust up with your SIL KAYZ . What does she expect after leaving a message like that? Hope you can ride the storm, knowing that ILs are generally (though not always I know!) to be 'put up with'.

Hi GRUFF! Relax sounds a good plan for the weekend after your busy week. Not much planned for us. Dh taking dds to MILs today (they have their uses and I'll be getting on with marking. Have had some very odd papers - one boy had included his mobile no. at end for me to ring so that he could bribe me with £50 (bless) - the idiot doesn't realise his mark won't be formalised now (failed anyway, hence the bribe I suppose! ).

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Have been reading my active birth book ASARTE and thinking of you! Let us know how things are progressing if you are lurking and get the chance!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/02/2009 10:35

Morning- sickness is still not good- haven't been able to keep anything down so far today... and barely managed anything yesterday!! Thank god I'm in the last countdown!!

And to add insult to injury I have a migrane too!! Had it yesterday morning when I woke up, took some painkillers that kept it at bay, then was up in the night with it, and its just as bad today!! Tried taking painkillers today but brought them back up again!!

KAY- sorry to hear about your SIL- family are like that sometimes, I'm sure you'll be fine with the dog, you're not silly- so just ignore them and make sure you prove them wrong!!

Gruff- Relaxing sounds good!! Wish I could, DC's are pecking my head today.... think its the added pain of being tired, sick and having a banging head that it feels worse!! Roll on 1pm so i can get them naps and have one myself!!

Ast- if your about hope all is well!!

Probably wont be about again today, only logged on to check my emails.

tinkisluvingbeingamummyagain · 07/02/2009 10:56

GruffaloSoldier · 07/02/2009 10:58

Hi Diege - Lol at student leaving mobile number! And hooray for MIL having DDs!

Im sorry to hear that you are suffering so bad Glask - that does not sound fun. Can your DH take the kids out for a little while, or is he at work today? I hope you feel better soon.

Im really suffering with anaemia at the mo. Tablets dont seem to be working at all (been on them for just over a week) Keep getting really dizzy, headachey and palpitations. Keep going really hot when trying to do anything the least bit active aswell. Im getting cross with myself for letting it consume me like it is.
I feel bad moaning when loads of you have so much to put up with a little ones to look after so I'll shut up now!
