nkweto · 02/02/2009 14:44

yes Dinky.. great that we are all home safe and sound, it is actually pretty close. On a non pregnant/non snowy day it is is a 20/30 min jaunt.. so I just really miscalculated how much slower we would be today..

..any news from Swampy ?

McDreamy · 02/02/2009 14:48

Nothing from Swampy yet but I guess the fact she's not posting means she's managed to get in. Could be having her baby as we type/read - lets hope so!!! Is she the only other cs lady today?

Calico1 · 02/02/2009 14:58

Great news LMN and msLucy!!! Swampy hope to hear that all is well with you too. What a day for a birthday!

dinkystinky · 02/02/2009 14:58

Think Swampster was planning on announcing her little one's arrival herself when she gets home from hospital (at least according the facebook pairing up list thingy)... Hope all going well with her.

Congratulations MsLucy and LMN.

Fingers crossed for Swampy but looks good with lack of posting.
I've just had a demand for more juice

McDreamy · 02/02/2009 15:00

Oh I am sooooooooooooo bored of being pregnant! Have even resorted to induction by seduction for the last couple of nights!!!!!!!

PinkTulips · 02/02/2009 15:01

oooo missed LMNs news

well done! she must have been relieved to make it to the cs in the end after him threatening to exit at the weekend!

herbgarden · 02/02/2009 15:06

Hurray and well done to LMN and MsLucy for the safe arrivals of their little boys. Hope they're both making a comfortable recovery in hospital.

chilledmama · 02/02/2009 15:13

Back again...
Didn't take DS to nursery this morning... there were 3 car accidents outside our living room window while we were eating breakfast...Council hadn't bothered to grit half the roads. I had an antenatal app. with local GP so we walked to that...well I say walk, I mean we slipped and slid the whole way there! Very glad we didn't get in car to go to nursery. Most has melted away over course of day but it is also been snowing all day and now that the sun is gone, I think all the slush is getting icy so wouldn't want to go back out in car to pick him up either. I think I'm trying to justify not taking DS to nursery today but he seems quite happy!

PinkTulips · 02/02/2009 15:15

lol chilled.... that's alot more justification than i had for dd missing most of last week

chilledmama · 02/02/2009 16:35

where has everyone gone???you better not be pushing out babies!!!!!

MrsY · 02/02/2009 17:00

Congratulations to LMN and MsLucy and welcome to Ewan and Stanley.

Um, nkweto - Are you crazy? Feet up and relax, please!

Just back from a lovely afternoon in the DAU - BP back up so they have upped the dose of the labetalol, and I'm seeing the community midwife tomorrow. Also in on Thursday with another 24h urine sample, and then seeing the midwife again over the weekend! how much fun am I having?!!

On the plus side, she has moved round and dropped again, so confirming my 'wait and see' attitude about the elective c-section. Registrar said that she would recommend a sweep at 39 weeks to see what was happening, and when she examined me (once she stopped laughing at me), said the neck of the womb was already opening up, so things looked favourable. When she was going to do the exam, she said "don't worry, I wear size 5 gloves, I have small hands" - I said "considerably smaller than a baby coming in the other direction!". She said it was the "most sensible thing she had ever heard a pregnant woman say!"

Neeerly3 · 02/02/2009 17:16

I LOVE the name Stanley! had not thought of that one

rosieposey · 02/02/2009 17:24

Congratulations to MsLucy and LMN and welcome to Stanley and Ewan what wonderful news! Hope no news is good news from Swampster and she managed to get in ok. Lots of snow here now and its very pretty but have to go to DAU in an hour for some monitoring for the bubs as had huge horrid hypo in the middle of the night last night and another one this morning - i think they just want to make sure that it hasnt stressed lo.

McDreamy · 02/02/2009 17:33

KT1983 · 02/02/2009 17:55

Nkweto You crazy lady Glad your back home safe & sound.
I walked to the pool this morning, only 30mins away & I nearly fell arse over tit every other step.

Huge Good Luck for tomorrow MS

Ive not read up on the threads properly...
(Shame on me, sorry ladies)
Are you having a CS tomorrow too LBB ? Or is it something else? Ive looked back but cant see on the earlier threads.

elkiedee · 02/02/2009 17:58

Congratulations MsLucy and LMN, good luck to MS for tomorrow.

The Whittington labour ward is expecting me tonight as I went from twingy to real contractions while being monitored after my consultant's appointment this afternoon. So MsLucy, we may coincide on the post-natal ward at the same time.

chilledmama · 02/02/2009 18:00

I've had a really nice day with DS (so far)
He's been on brilliant form and we've only had one mini tantrum which was my fault for rushing him when we were running late for my antenatal app.
He's eaten brilliantly all day and there's been no whining...
Why couldn't this LO in my tummy take after her big brother and be so good??? Still breech and seemingly not for descending

MarkStretch · 02/02/2009 18:01

Oooooh good luck Elkiedee!
