Hello everyone,

I think I've gone into denial - trying to forget that I've got to get a baby out. Very much enjoying being a lady who lunches (with dd in nursery 4 days a week).

Also had trauma at the weekend as our cat was run over and is now needing at least 4 weeks cage rest. I think I'm in an unusual situation of hoping I'll be late so that I can sort her out first.

Hope all who want to get started do so soon. The pineapple thing worked for me last time (I had three whole ones in a day and had dd that night - a day early). As for sex - I still can't get my head around how it is physically possible

Hi all, just to say that radio silence doesn't mean anything interesting is happening here, just that I'm getting bored with the whole thing now so have given up posting recently! All the excitement of last week seems to have developed into a big fat nothing, so ho hum. At least I'm sleeping quite well the last couple of days, to my great surprise.

Just a quickie to say that baby Alexander Luke was born at 4.50pm this afternoon via unscheduled home delivery courtesy of the excellent midwifery skills of dh!!! Will post full birth story tomorrow once the effects of the Moet wear off!! Suffice to say things moved surreally quickly - first twinge to crowning = 3 hours!!!! So it's not exactly a long drawn out story...!!

Just to let you know that our beautiful baby girl Freya Grace was born on Friday afternoon after a speedy labour weighing 8lbs2oz. Only got home from hospital last night as she had a bit of Jaundice but is doing great. Will posrt birth announcement when I get a sec. Sending labour vibes to those of you still waiting...x

Roobie - well done for giving birth on your due date! I was also due yesterday but nothing has happened here!

Sorry to read about all the aches and pains you ladies have been getting. I have had a sore back for the last few days and have found it very hard to get comfy.

Thought that something was happeninglast night as i started getting pains, but they were only 15mins apart, and although they lasted for 4 hours they eventually stopped - mores the pity! Had my 40wk mw appt yesterday and have been given a day for induction if baby doesnt come out by himself. They will take me in on the 27th in the evening and take it from there - seems ages away, but at least i have a date to focus on rather than waiting until next week.

Hope you are all feeling ok today and fingers crossed that we arent waiting too much longer x

Congratulations Roobie and Lucy99! Fantastic news! And two lovely names as well.

Nothing to report here - not even a few twinges! Can I borrow someone else's symptoms for a bit too?

had my appointment with the consultant today and it looks like they now know why i keep having pain and nothing is happening. they think that bumps is trying to move down but isnt managing i get contractions and then she gets tired and basically gives up. they were gonna take me in to try and induce me tonight but the hosp is 2 busy so booked in for thursday to be started on friday. they also say there is a high chance ill need a section if what they think is right.

wow, all the best starshaker, i'm sure all will be fine and by the weekend you'll have a little baby! i'm being induced on fri/sat so we should have one by then too.

i was due yesterday or today and had my appointment with the midwife today, My mw was on holiday so saw another one who was actually my community mw when ds was born.She said head was 2/5 engaged and it would be quite a wait yet as my uterus didn't feel ready!!!!!! so I came out of there not a happy bunny.I've got a home visit booked for next tues and an appointment with the obs unit on the 29th niether of which i am hoping to use.I was 2 days late with ds so am hoping with my 2nd it wont be too much longer,i've not had a show or anything and the only pains i am getting is a bit of backache.

I am due on the 23rd and I have been watching your thread for a while...I see that I am not the only one having no real signs of labour yet...tbh I am feeling rather depressed at that: my MIL (whom I like a lot and will be a grand mother for the first time) is travelling from france on the friday, hoping to be at the birth...she leaves on wed. If nothing happens at this time it will be such a waste of time for her and I will be so disappointed....

And I'd hate to have to be induced really...

006 - I am suffering with SPD too. I fell over on Monday and had to go to hosp to be checked over. All ok with baby but pelvis absolutely agony.
I am being induced on Monday which will be 11 days overdue. In the meantime, I have had contractions every night for 2 weeks but they never seem to progress. Last night they were getting quite painful but still here this morning. Really don't want to be induced...come on baby!! Having a sweep on Thursday so maybe that will get things going. Good luck everyone.
