No news here, Merlin. Just watching the Channel 4 documentary thingy. Some BHs but nothing out of the ordinary for me. Do you think things are starting for you?! Exciting!!!

Merlin · 07/04/2005 22:03

Watching it too Verso - fascinating isn't it? Things seemed to have calmed down here, feeling tired so hoping I can get a good nights sleep!!

csa · 07/04/2005 22:15

hi all, have been away from mn for the last 2 weeks sorting out ds birthday party and figuring out what we still needed to get for the nursery.... thought it was about time as at the rate i was going, babe would have to sleep on the floor in ds' clothes and i will be getting my hospital bag stuff from the hospital shop
congrats to all who have had their babes. as for me, nothing really happening and i am actually hoping that nothing does for a little while more since i have been so disorganised and i need at least one more week, if not more, to ensure that everything's sorted before bump arrive.
btw, has everyone ordered their tens machine? where's a good place to do so?

Verso · 07/04/2005 22:49

I got my TENS machine from Mothercare, csa.

Verso · 07/04/2005 22:51

P.S. I've been enjoying the programme, but have to say I'm not so sure about Roger McGough's poems. I hope you sleep well, Merlin!

Roobie · 08/04/2005 00:48

I hires my tens machine from this lot, csa
tens hire

aprilmeadow · 08/04/2005 09:35

CSA - i hired a TENS machine from Boots. It cost £29.99 plus £25 deposit (you get advantage points on the whole amount!!). You get it on hire for 4 weeks from 37wks pg. If you go over they will let you extend the hire. Looks quite good. I wanted to try it on DH to see if it works, but he was to much of a wimp and wouldnt let me near him!

DelGirl · 08/04/2005 13:06

Hi all, getting exciting. Any news Merlin, Lemonsquash? Did think of asking if Merlin was in the hospital but they wouldn't have told me and I didn't hear any screaming

Well just got home from hospital, no baby as yet though!

Felt quite rough on Wednesday so the mw told me to go to hospital to get things checked over. Went there about 3 and was transferred by ambulance at about 6 to another hospital. I thought the ambulance was a bit unneccessary and said I was sure I could get there myself but they insisted. No flashing lights though! My bp was up and there was protein etc in my you know what so they thought it may have been pre-eclampsia. Anyway, 2 nights and lots of monitoring later they've sent me home. Was hoping they may have induced me but no, sadly not. Still I shall be back there again next Thursday unless it start to happen naturally. Getting quite a few really strong braxton hicks now so you never know. Anyway, I now intend to spend the next few days doing b*gger all. Take care one and all

Verso · 09/04/2005 16:01

I think I've either been spectacularly unlucky and have managed to put my back out somehow, or I am having weird back pains that possibly could be attributable to early labour - but I'm not sure. If I stand up it hurts so much I can hardly walk, but there isn't any real rhythym to the pain so I reckon I must have strained something. Great timing, eh?!

Feeling a bit sorry for myself, truth be told, as I can't even wander about to take my mind off it. Any suggestions?
