Yey! Congrats Tink - great news!

Asarte - we need another birth soon-ish, I am getting addicted to the birth build up and waiting game...

NatalieJane · 19/01/2009 17:00

Whhhhooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooo

Huge congratulations to Tink, Mr Tink, and DD1!! Well done sweetie! Lovely names and what a good weight as well?

And another whoooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooo and huge congrats for LG&T, only just spotted her on the 'births' bit of the list , will have to go back and find the details when I get a sec.

Am wailing into my first hot cup of tea of the day, I give in with the washer dryer, I need to start doing that thing you do with the board and hot thing, is it an iron? Yuk

lastboxoftampons · 19/01/2009 17:01

Congratulations TINK! And to think, we weren't all that far off with our 8lb+ guesses and Tink was getting nervous then! But just G&A!?!? Impressive

Astarte Lottie had a round of IVF in Norway and unfortunately, it didn't take She's meant to start a cycle on the NHS but was waiting for her current cycle to finish/settle down, and for testing. So fingers crossed for her this time around!!!

Just been to the midwives. Pretty uneventful, but I've now got lots of reading material. Meant to see the midwife at the GP in 4 weeks time.

Lovely long list of Wagon babies up at the top there!

I've changed my mind, I DON'T WANNA HAVE A BABY!!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/01/2009 17:19

Cosmo- re the Rh jabs. She didnt mention doing double last time, just that they will do me agian at 34wks and then they wont give it to me again unless GYo-ette test as being Rh either pos or neg (cant recall which)- said it was good as I get to find out baby's blood group.

BTW- you arent far from top of list yourself

Been long day of numbers not adding up today.

Need to have proper catch up later on..

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/01/2009 17:30

PMSL Astarte- just seen what you wrote at the bottom of the list!

Could get an extra big cork? When is LBs due date- any chances of you not being next?

Im worryingly close to the top now...

Quite like the whole anticipation bit of pregnancy, as much as I hate being PG- looking ahead to baby is fun! Bit like planning a holiday.... well kinda

Diege · 19/01/2009 17:42

I am really glad that I am second from the bottom - but there again I know what labout feels like....
Fish and chips for tea tonight! I will join you GYO in raising a glass for TINKS
Oh funny comment today off canteen woman...she sees me with IO clad bump (ie. very obvious) and says 'Ooh, you look like you're going to drop any minute; can't be long to go, what 6 weeks or so???' (me), ummm, just under 6 months actually . Is it your first? (me) Um no my last...think she gave up after that!
Students have been sweet though, and tell me I don't look pregnant from the back at all..I should hope not!!
Hopefully pop in later, but if not speak tomorrow xxx

kayzr · 19/01/2009 17:48

Come on now ladies it isn't that bad.

Wait until you have a 10lb 5oz baby when the G&A has run out!!!!!!

I'm already feeling broody again though. Its all of you and your pram talk and birth announcements!

Cosmogirl · 19/01/2009 17:49

Diege - can't believe canteen lady comment - how ruude!!

GYo - yes, I suppose I am quite near the top too....race ya!

Just fallen out with DH over something silly and he has gone off in strop. I am feeling too moody to apologise though, so this might go on all evening.... Basically I am having a very nauseous day and said I needed to eat dinner early (like now) He does all the cooking normally...anyway, he didn't want to eat so early, so I had a bit of a strop and said fine, I'll make it myself. Made it myself but didn't make him any and now he is in a mood. Sorry - wasn't going to bore you with the details...

Diege · 19/01/2009 18:01

Cosmo, think I would have done that myself actually - after all, he didn't want dinner that early, and if he did he could have made it anyway? Maybe not best to throw that one into the pot, but it's good to know that you are right
KAYZ, broody aleady ; would be a nice age gap though...

lardybump · 19/01/2009 18:01

Oh cosmo arguments are so easy when you are pg.

Astarte thanks for the offer but really want a sling this time. Am now thinking of getting a moby!!! you are 3 weeks ahead of me so will deffo be next...

Big congrats Tink what a lovely name...

Cosmogirl · 19/01/2009 18:04

Thanks ladies....I thought I was right too but perhaps was a little mean to him. It is just that he makes me feel like I am an inconvenience sometimes with the whole nausea/needing to eat at certain times things. It's hardly my bloody fault, is it?.......Humph, he is still hiding upstairs, prob waiting for me to go and say sorry....

moosma · 19/01/2009 18:32

Ah Cosmo, just tell him he's lucky he's not my DH, I've beaten him with my slippers and thrown cutlery at him when pregnant and hungry! ;)

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/01/2009 18:33

Hey Cosmo- sorry to hear about row - happens so easily at the moment i find....

Am sure will blow over soon- even if it feels crap right now. Faxing over some of LBs natural induction methods so we can prepare for the final push

Actually I will be in trouble if im as much as 2wks late since I need to attend my DH's degree ceremony 2wks after my due date! I think I will definately be collecting tips as the weeks go on!

Diege- lol at woman in canteen, think sometimes people really dig a hole for themselves.

My backache is better now so must have been due to lying on hips too long. Quite relieved as it was sore across my back and under my bump.... was having early labour panic!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/01/2009 18:37

Kay- just seen about you feeling broody! go for it girl, be the first wagoner to fall off the wagon a second time !!!

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 19/01/2009 18:50

Evening!!

TINK!! Congrats! and well done you - G&A only!! Can't wait to see a piccie

Just a quick post from me as off out again...

Had an email back from I'coo.... Guess what they said - "try a larger branch of Mothercare"!!!! I've emailed them back to say I did yesterday but no sign and also they don't seem to be on the Mothercare website. I will get an I'coo!!!

Also had an email back from pilates lady - there is space on a class at 11am on Mondays. Don't know what work would say about that...

Anyway, so much for quick post! Have a good evening everyone!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/01/2009 19:12

Bit of a dilema that I'd love some wagon views on....

We are due to visit DH's best mate w/e after next. He live 200+ miles away. He lives in rented house that we've not been to before and has little furniture etc (post divorce) so no idea about how comfortable it will be overnight for me who is up ever hour these days.

So we decided to combine the w/e away with an "us" time weekend since the friend plays sport on Sat afternoons. So we planned to stay in hotel (so I can sleep properly or not disturb everyone if Im up in the night) get there at lunchtime and use the hotel pool etc for some relaxation time in the afternoon. We were then planning to take the friend out to dinner somewhere local then spend Sunday morning with him before driving back.

All good- I was really looking fwd to it- for lots of reasons but mainly getting DH to myself where he can relax and do something couply before the baby. Apparently the friend is insistent we stay with him (offering his bed!) and is cancelling his sport for afternoon. All very kind- but I really wanted to do the combination of some time with DH, relaxation and last chance to stay in hotel and relax pre baby.

Its DHs decision to make and I really dont want to influence it. We should probably park the idea of our plans and accept the friends offer (think DH has agreed already though hasnt said)- what would you guys do?

Astarte · 19/01/2009 19:12

for comments Diege.
I had the "you don't look pregnant from the back" comments too. Should hope not! Baby is in my tummy not my arse!

I'm raising a glass sneakily to Tink too. Watch we'll all be on here later plastered after half a glass of wine from not drinking for months

I'll get my slurs in now if that's okay

Ses how frustrating about buggy, can the manufacturers not deal direct with you? Or are you looking to try it out first?

Looking forward to Tinks birth story. How funny that she did have to wait until that lampshade was up

Astarte · 19/01/2009 19:17

Honestly?

I'd stay in the hotel and tell Dh he's more than welcome to stay with his friend during Saturday afternoon (boys' time) and you can have some spa time, meet up for tea/dinner, go out stay at hotel and see for Sunday lunch.

OR if it becomes an issue say you'll stay with friend but have your heart set on a spa weekend with him before the baby comes and then go ahead and book it.

I personally couldn't sleep in anyone else's bed, but I'm a bit weird like that

kayzr · 19/01/2009 19:19

I like Astarte's idea. You go off to a spa for the afternoon.

I also couldn't sleep in someone else's bed, it would just be wierd!!
