I had a baby bjorn carrier with dd but really want a sling for new baby. I havent any experiance and dont know anything about them but have found this one which I though looked really good. Does anyone have any helpful advise??? It needs to be suitable from birth and easy to use and assemble and not a million bucks.......

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/01/2009 12:33

Hello

Sorry not got time for full catch up but wanted to say GO TINK! Hurray for labour!

LB- I was asking this question last week and Astarte said there are a lot of reviews on MN about slings. She suggested the Coorie one to me that I really like the look of....

Sorry SPD is so bad. Hope the next few weeks fly by for you.

better go but will check in for Tink news

PS Gruff i can post of the FB board when we have news!

kayzr · 19/01/2009 12:34

I have this and I love it so much!! I walked all round York with it on Friday.

My friend had that babasling and hated it but other people seem to like it so it depends I guess.

Astarte · 19/01/2009 12:39

Ooh can't wait for Tinks news

M/w dropped by an hour ago to drop off birth pack and go through a few things and Gentlewater have rung to confirm that pool is on it's way today Good Times!!

I have four piles of washing waiting to go in , I'm such a slattern, one in washer, one in dryer waiting to be folded, one on clothes rack thingy and one pile on ironing. I started the ironing got 3 things done and the ironing board died, completely caput! Have to go get a new one.

Off for dinner, but Nat if you're around later I need to talk BBA with you please.

Astarte · 19/01/2009 12:52

I have a Tomy Safari carrier that I'm giving away LB if you'd like it. It's in great condition It is similar to the bjorn baby though in construction, so not really much different to what you have had for Dd. It's yours if you want it

I've got a coorie and will just be using that.

Diege · 19/01/2009 13:02

Hello! Just a quick post from work. Woohoo TINKS how exciting - look forward to hearing an update hopefully very soon!
While I remember (sorry, can't remember who was concerned about it - cosmo? Playing? ) normal to have double dose of anti-D at 28 weeks here too and no more until after birth - has been policy in our Trust since 2005.
Sorry I can't catch up more, students waiting!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/01/2009 13:41

Nothing more from tink as yet.

I have just bought a premaxx, hope it works for us, only ever used a tomy safari carrier and still have that as DH likes it... so if the sling doesn't work for him then he can still use the carrier.

LB- I think tink has the babasling in pink. So give her a couple of weeks and she'll have a review for you i should think!!

we're going out to pay some more off our holiday, buy DS some more pumps for nursery PE lessons, and buy a new microwave as mine blew up on thursday.

kayzr · 19/01/2009 13:47

Hehehehe!!!!

We're having our homecheck done for our puppy this weekend hopefully!!! We decided to rescue one instead of buying a pedigree one.

Here is Spuggy but we are changing her name to Pixie!!!

I've just had an Avon lady round and I am now an Avon Lady. Hopefully I'll do well out of it and we can use the money for driving lessons. The stuff looks really good and I want to buy loads!!

Cosmogirl · 19/01/2009 15:21

GYo - once Tink has popped you will be fourth in line to the labour room - eek!! How exciting.

Cosmogirl · 19/01/2009 15:23

OK, do I have 5 minutes? Probably not.... Not sure who is harder work Mikey with interupted night's or DS1 when he is poorly, he is such a bloody man.....

Anyway, GOOD LUCK TINK It is so exciting! Brings back all the memories of that moment during a contraction when it suddenly dawns on you that you are in labour and not just 'niggling' Am a bit sad not to be doing it again ever, not that I ever want to be pregnant ever ever ever again, but never to have those feelings again.... C'mon baby Tink

Yes snow, it has put about 3 inches down since 1 o'clock, and it's still falling, hope DH can get back in tonight!

Oh bloody hell, times up again, I might actually get 10 minutes at some point today! ....Or maybe not - thoughts are with you Tink

Astarte · 19/01/2009 15:25

Has anyone used natal hypnotherapy cd's before? I'm thinking of getting the HB one.

Couldn't view your pup Kayz Hope you earn a bit of extra dosh with Avon though

I think she'd be close to having her by now if she was 5cm at 11am

LBOT have you heard from LondonLottie? I saw she was going down the AC route and was thinking of her today. Wondered how she was getting on.

kayzr · 19/01/2009 15:32

Oooops. Spuggy/Pixie

She is a Staffie crossed with a lurcher.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/01/2009 15:32

Cosmo- you know how to make a girl nervous!

Crikey. Will be excited to get to first surprise birth though. Think thats LB!

Astarte · 19/01/2009 15:44

Gorgeous Kayz, simply adorable and totally looks pixie-ish

Cosmo take that back! There are no more births due for aaaaaaages yet!

I've had BH all day, baby is very low it feels. Won't feel okay until that pool is filled I think.
