Huge congrats - fab news!

tink - I agree, go get a vindaloo!

LBOT - great shopping! Bargains

Hi to everyone else - sorry you've been chatting so much, I'm struggling to catch up!

kayzr · 16/01/2009 19:32

Congratulations LG&T!!!!!!!!!!
A gorgeous name, it is at the top of our girls list.

Hope everyone has had good days today.

I had a great time in York, it was really funny as we all had the lo's in slings so it was really easy to work out who we were. I BF Dylan in public and I didn't feel really wierd because there were 3 of us. We're going to do it again soon.

Tink, I also agree with a vindaloo!!

Cosmogirl · 16/01/2009 19:37

Vindaloo, vindaloo, vindaloo vindaloo nah nah!!
Really fancy a curry with naan bread and the works now - mmmmm. Doubt it would sit well with the nausea though....

Right, flying visit, I am trying to avoid housework. Have two friends visiting from London tomorrow and they haven't seen our house so will expect the full tour which = me running around now trying to make every room look immaculate. Housework is just such hard work when pregnant though - I wish I could avoid the luxury of a cleaner - at least during pregnancy......

Cosmogirl · 16/01/2009 19:38

Avoid the luxury of a cleaner?! Of course what I meant was 'afford' the luxury of a cleaner.....pregnancy brain has officially landed...

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 16/01/2009 19:41

LOL Cosmo I've been avoiding housework too but fear I may have to succumb this weekend.

Kay - Glad you had a good day!
We really must try and arrange a wagon meet up at some point!

kayzr · 17/01/2009 07:38

Morning,

I am exhausted and I honestly have to say I hate H so much now. I don't even know if we can stay together. DS2 went to sleep at half 12 then DS1 woke up at 3. Despite agreeing to get up on Friday and Saturday nights H wouldn't get out of bed, except to put DS1 in our bed. So of course I ended up with a tiny bit of bed. This is the same H who said I couldn't co-sleep with DS2.
DS1 finally fell asleep at 4. Then DS2 woke up at 20 to 5, H moaning and grumping went to get him a bottle after I had BF him as he was still hungry and wouldn't latch back on. He fed him and DS2 dropped of to sleep but woke up for some more which I had to give him. DS2 went to sleep at half 5.
DS1 woke up at 6, H put him in his cot hoping he would go back to sleep. He didn't and obviously H is so f**king tired I have had to get up.

Sorry for the rant but I am so bloody pissed off with him, its not like I am tired is it???

lardybump · 17/01/2009 08:40

morning all. I have not been on for a few days as have been poorly..... I am away tonight as well so will catch up on Sunday. I have MW of Thursday and am going to ask if I can be induced early. She probably wont let me but i am going to try as i am really suffering.

Everyone has said that induction is nasty and hurts like hell but one day of intence pain is better than weeks of pain that I am going through at the moment. I know they wont do it this early as I still have 5 weeks to go but hopefully she will see how bad it is getting and send me for a AN appointment with a docter who will agree...

What do you ladies think will they do it if baby is not in any danger??

Cosmogirl · 17/01/2009 09:39

Morning,

Kayz - sorry to hear you had a rough night/morning. I can completely understand why you are fed up. Having not experienced this yet it is hard to give advice but I'd say try not to let things bottle up as you will just get more angry towards H. Try to explain calmly that he needs to keep his end of the bargain with regard to getting up etc.. As you say, you are knackered too and he's not having to breastfeed which takes loads out of you too.

LB - not sure on the induction thing but from the little I've read and watched it does seem that they are usually reluctant to get the baby out if it is not in any danger. Unless of course the mum is in life-threatening danger like with PE. Sure someone who knows more will be along soon though.

tinkisfourtyweeks · 17/01/2009 10:29

morning

still nothing here
dh has taken dd to indoor play thing going to watch tv.
sorry kay for bad night make sure he does his share!!

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 17/01/2009 10:50

Morning!
Just out of the shower. Weighed myself for first time in ages and I've put on nearly a stone already in this pg

Kay - he has to realise that the two of you have to act as a team in parenting. I think Cosmo is right about trying to stay calm and talk to him again. May be difficult but would be much worse to let it build up.

LB - sorry I just don't really know about induction. I think it does have to be in the best interests of both the baby and you. Do ask about it and explain how you're feeling but try not to set yourself on it. I know so many people say those last few weeks can be the hardest. Have you got any little treats you can have to try and lift yourself?

Diege · 17/01/2009 10:51

KAYZ, you are more than entitled to your rant - I would be absolutely furious . Has H actually tried to justify his laziness??? You are 100% right here, so have no need to defend your actions, and as COSMO says you'll have to just calmly restate the situation until he gets it(however hard it is to keep calm - don't think I could). Failing that, get a sleeping bag, make up some bottles, and sleep downstairs, and let H deal with the lot tonight. That should work

LB, afraid from what I know they'll only induce if there is serious reason to do so. However, this does include mental and well as physical reasons, so if you are becoming seriously distressed they will consider this too. Good luck x

Morning COSMO, how are things?
Just been on phone to royal mail for what seems like a lifetime. Eventually spoke to a person and it seems that they have lost one of my parcels that needed to be redelivered today. The problem was there were two parcels, rather than the usual one that needed redelivery, so obviously any slight deviation from the norm causes major crisis in the sorting office . Shouldn't get so wound up, but things like that really get me mad!
Anyway, as Kate Winslett says, 'gather'...
TINKS, you never know, may be the lull before the storm...fingers crossed!
Speak later!

Diege · 17/01/2009 10:51

Monring SES! Good advice there as always

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 17/01/2009 10:55

Morning Diege
How frustrating with Royal Mail!

Tink - I think she's biding her time and will then suddenly decide to go for it and she'll soon be with you.

Diege · 17/01/2009 10:57

Lol, now I know why people call it Royal Fail

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 17/01/2009 11:04

LOL
Not heard of that one - v good!

DH is due back from Scotland at about 1pm and I really need to pop into town and pay off my credit card (yay!), drop the dry cleaning in and pick up a few fresh bits. Also need to tidy up house a bit...

I watched Monday's 24 last night. Really good start to the new season. Does anybody else watch it?

I'm thinking DH will say he's too tired to go looking at baby things today and will maybe aim for tomorrow. I know him though and he doesn't like doing anything at the wkend. I may have to bribe him with a Nandos (he likes and I've never been) or a pub meal.

kayzr · 17/01/2009 11:14

He just says he is tired and he has to go to work all week.

We're ok now but if he does it again I might hang, draw and quarter him!!

Astarte · 17/01/2009 11:48

LB they will not induce you unless there is a medical need, ie placental failure, IUGR etc, even then, I'm not sure whether they'd induce, the option tends to be CS as generally they're worried about the effect of VB on the baby (with a sick baby).
Even with medical issues they would be really reluctant do it before 38 weeks usually.

Is it the SPD pain?

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time of it

tinkisfourtyweeks · 17/01/2009 12:07

cheers ladies

i have been bouncing and swaying on ball

tinkisfourtyweeks · 17/01/2009 16:38

Hello all, remember me??

Congratulations to those with babies, I've seen a few popping up on FB, I hope you and your babies/bumps are all well! I spotted a wagon group on there too but it won't let me in

That was a long and bumpy ride on the wagon and I held on tight, but have finally fallen off. So here I am, we've got to January and we are now officially ttc! Yippeee!!

Is there anyone left on it anymore?
