A little less fast paced on here today - thank goodness, I was losing pace!
Tink - good news from midwife. Have fingers crossed for minimal pain for you, but good delivery!
Kayz - pizza sounds good. Glad you survived MIL's visit unscathed (if tired).
Thanks for offer Glask, but I got all DS1s stuff out of loft on weekend and am amazed how much I have from just one - plus, you never know it might be a girl and then I can top up neutral stuff with pink
Diege - shopping sounds good. Kayz, know what you mean about cute boys clothes!
Right, was going to continue working (laptop still set up from working from home today), but think I'm going to do some ironing and catch up on some V+ stuff I haven't watched yet.
Can you believe that our Resourcing Manager at work was still due to be at work until tomorrow with a due date of next Tuesday - I told her she was mad, but she just said she was no good at sitting around doing nothing! Well, got an email from her colleague this afternoon, who has picked her work up because she went into labour in the early hours - she's just told me that the Resourcing Manager was emailing her handover at 3am while in labour!! Can you tell it's her first! - Not being able to sit around doing nothing - think maybe she'll regret that some months in?!
Considering I'd already had enough of the jokes at work earlier today about me maybe postponing my mat leave for work, or maybe just working through from home - this is just the reminder I needed that I'm really glad my last day in the office is 4 weeks tomorrow - hurrah! It's not my fault they can't keep the team in place and I've got the longest standing knowledge - noone is indispensable, just hope they remember they wanted to keep me when I'm ready to go back after mat leave!
Right, off for some R&R (with some ironing thrown in no doubt!)
Watched my last stored Grey's episode yesterday, but new series starts next Thurs - hurrah again!
LB - if you're on, hope you've had a more comfortable day.
Gin - looking forward to hearing how you're doing.
Nat - v. envious of you getting back into your pre-pg jeans - I never managed that after DS either, but am determined to do so this time - might copy your idea of lining up my jeans in aspirational order Ast!
Hi to LaTour, GYo, Gruff, Playing, Ses, 2BG, Teuch and anyone else I've inadvertently missed.
BTW Gruff - have been meaning to say, I had never read the Gruffalo, but DS got it for Christmas and he (and I) absolutely loves it! (For some reason DH thinks I'm daft for putting voices on for different animals, but that's normal isn't it?! - I do it for all the trains in Thomas too!)
