Have another Kayz .

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 15/01/2009 15:14

Kay- DS is gutted that DD is getting some clothes and he isn't!! poor thing- might get him some bits from verbaudet with them codes though!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 15/01/2009 17:11

Any of you ladies who dont know the sex... do any of you want some unisex vests and sleepsuits in newborn and 0-3 at all?? FFP obviously to any of you... There is probably enough to kit out a baby in both sizes in vests, and probably about 6 or so sleepsuits in each size. Think 2 have very faint pink bits on, but i can take them out if you dont want them!! Let me know and i can send them on monday if someone did want them... if not i'll be putting on ebay over the weekend

Diege · 15/01/2009 17:19

Think I'm ok for vests etc GLASK as hopefully will get from sister that I lent my lot to. I'm sure someone will be interested though
Gearing up for seconf round of fish fingers and mash, then hoping to get an early night. School run has killed me! A few of the mums have noticed I'm pregnant, cue the usual 'trying for a boy?/you must be mad!!!/haven't you got a telly comments....

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 15/01/2009 17:50

haha- Diege i've got the 'you need to get a tv' comment!! and mines only no3!!

There are loads of the vests and sleepsuits that are as new still... so if anyone does want them they will definatley last for more than just 1 baby!! Some ahve come in bundles i've bought, some passed on to me, some i've found from my own DC's... couldn't believe when i sorted through everything this afternoon just how much i have!!

I've kept everything pink as i've got more than enough in just that- in newborn she has 16 sleepsuits, 24 vests, and 23 outifts!! in 0-3 she has about the same amount as in newborn for sleepsuits and vests, then about 20 outfits.... then she's also nearly fully kitted out in 3-6 too!! Plus i have a bag full of cute little booties, shoes, slippers etc that should start fitting early on, but some may last till about 12mths!! She's also got all her coats up to 9mths, hats, socks, tights etc.... dont know how i've aquired so much when i've only known the sex for 7wks tomorrow!!!

tinkisfourtyweeks · 15/01/2009 18:04

hi ladies

back from midwife all good.
to ring birthing centre monday morning @ 9am to arrange to go in for a stretch and sweep mon if nothing has happened!
blood pressure good and heartbeat.
had a good prod midwife has put in my notes head 3/5ths. said that she thinks that there is lots of water and a tiddler baby what weight would a tiddler be?!
all good.
mentioned pains said that baby could have been engaging more.
said dont wait till waters go @ home as she thinks if they do that i will get a baby as well.

tinkisfourtyweeks · 15/01/2009 18:04

diege you are doing me proud with your shopping skills go girl you can be my personal shopper.

Diege · 15/01/2009 18:42

I gratefully accept the job of personal shopper TINKS
Wow Glask you've acquired loads! Must help with costs etc plus must be exciting to look and sort through
I've bought a book off amazon with baby knitting patterns, so may try and get back into knitting (used to knit loads) Some cute baby things including ponchos with pom-pom on hoods etc, so will get my knitting needles out!

GruffaloSoldier · 15/01/2009 19:36

Evening all,

Im so shattered today!

I have someone requesting on FB to join our group with the initials DC - anyone know who that is??

Glad everything is ok Tink.

Diege - knitting sounds good. My mum has done a few cute cardis and lovely bobble had that does up under the chin. Soooo cute

I have the baba sling its really great! Was recommended by a friend. Got it half price in TK Maxx too

God I have missed loads as usual so will just say hope evryone is having a good evening. DH isnt here and I dont want to move!!Really should make some dinner though.

kayzr · 15/01/2009 19:40

Gruff, Do what I have just done and order a pizza!!! I am so lazy

Diege, I love knitting and cross stitch. I must say that I am much much better at cross stitch than knitting though.

I have just put DS1 to bed and he is crying his eyes out. I feel so bad but we have an early start and he isn't sleeping well. He normally goes quiet within 5 minutes but I still don't like listening to him.

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 15/01/2009 20:10

Gruff - my DH is away til Saturday and I haven't got my tea yet. I like Kay's idea of pizza...!

Kay - hope DS1 settles and you have a great time tomorrow!

Hi to everyone else - you've been busy on here again and I've had a quick read through...

tink - glad MW went well. Just take it easy but keep us informed (obviously we should be upper most in your thoughts when you are in labour!!

I've started a spreadsheet on buggies
My shortlist to try and look at are (in no order):
Bugaboo cameleon
I'coo Targo
M&P Luna
Icandy Cherry
First Wheels Elite

GruffaloSoldier · 15/01/2009 20:11

Hmm tempting Kayz very tempting! If only I hadnt spent so much on ebay this week I might have got away with ordering in.

Hope your DS1 settles soon.

kayzr · 15/01/2009 20:18

Ses, the First Wheels Elite will probably be great. We wanted the twin one but it was too wide for our door. But it was really easy to steer and looked lovely.

Starshinetiger · 15/01/2009 20:27

A little less fast paced on here today - thank goodness, I was losing pace!
Tink - good news from midwife. Have fingers crossed for minimal pain for you, but good delivery!
Kayz - pizza sounds good. Glad you survived MIL's visit unscathed (if tired).
Thanks for offer Glask, but I got all DS1s stuff out of loft on weekend and am amazed how much I have from just one - plus, you never know it might be a girl and then I can top up neutral stuff with pink
Diege - shopping sounds good. Kayz, know what you mean about cute boys clothes!
Right, was going to continue working (laptop still set up from working from home today), but think I'm going to do some ironing and catch up on some V+ stuff I haven't watched yet.
Can you believe that our Resourcing Manager at work was still due to be at work until tomorrow with a due date of next Tuesday - I told her she was mad, but she just said she was no good at sitting around doing nothing! Well, got an email from her colleague this afternoon, who has picked her work up because she went into labour in the early hours - she's just told me that the Resourcing Manager was emailing her handover at 3am while in labour!! Can you tell it's her first! - Not being able to sit around doing nothing - think maybe she'll regret that some months in?!
Considering I'd already had enough of the jokes at work earlier today about me maybe postponing my mat leave for work, or maybe just working through from home - this is just the reminder I needed that I'm really glad my last day in the office is 4 weeks tomorrow - hurrah! It's not my fault they can't keep the team in place and I've got the longest standing knowledge - noone is indispensable, just hope they remember they wanted to keep me when I'm ready to go back after mat leave!
Right, off for some R&R (with some ironing thrown in no doubt!)
Watched my last stored Grey's episode yesterday, but new series starts next Thurs - hurrah again!
LB - if you're on, hope you've had a more comfortable day.
Gin - looking forward to hearing how you're doing.
Nat - v. envious of you getting back into your pre-pg jeans - I never managed that after DS either, but am determined to do so this time - might copy your idea of lining up my jeans in aspirational order Ast!
Hi to LaTour, GYo, Gruff, Playing, Ses, 2BG, Teuch and anyone else I've inadvertently missed.
BTW Gruff - have been meaning to say, I had never read the Gruffalo, but DS got it for Christmas and he (and I) absolutely loves it! (For some reason DH thinks I'm daft for putting voices on for different animals, but that's normal isn't it?! - I do it for all the trains in Thomas too!)

tinkisfourtyweeks · 15/01/2009 20:41

evening ladies

i am chilling watching t.v

diege - oh good
knitting sounds good i tried knitting when i was about 14 kept dropping stitches. i am really in crosstitch got into it when pregnant with dd1. have nearly finished a hello kitty crosstitch alphabet chart for baby.

gruff - i managed to find a website with money off the babysling and didnt pay postage.
dont know who dc is

kay i ate pizza 2

ses - definetly taking it easy no more shops. my dad is going to do main shop tomorrow 4 me. dont particulary like staying in. thought that as i will be past due date probably not wise. i am trying to be more active in the house rather then just sitting watching t.v.
dread the thought of waters breaking when out in a shop etc as my midwife reckons that if my waters go that i will get a baby 2.

star- that is a good long post
thnaks for good wishes
sounds like you have been busy

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/01/2009 21:04

Evening everyone

Glask- thanks for vests etc offer but I've just bought a load of stuff - but really appreciate the kind offer

Tink - glad you are relaxing and MW went ok. Hopefully things will get going over the weekend.. Maybe a curry is in order

Star- hang onto that maternity leave! I was thinking of extending my dates and doing working from home for a bit but glad im not now.

Hi Gruff, Diege, Ses-

Bad case of heartburn tonight- entirely my fault, it was malteser related

I've been browsing slings- thanks for the tips, Kay and Ast.

Diege · 16/01/2009 08:40

Morning! Hope today is your day TINKS! Out to jo jingles class with dd3 today, the first week I've been for ages after being sick. Poor dh (who took dd before xmas) wishes he could come - I think he really got into it .
Hope everyone is well

Astarte · 16/01/2009 08:58

Morning! Enjoy the session Diege.

Hospital bag is finally packed! Just need to get some girly muslins from MC, which I'm going to today and some oils/homeopathic stuff which I can get today as well

Tink? any news?

Starshinetiger · 16/01/2009 09:05

Morning all. Well done on hospital bag Astarte. Enjoy Jo Jingles, Diege.
DH is taking DS to swimming lesson this morning and I can't wait until I'm off and can do it for a couple of weeks.
Just been browing "Last 15 mins" and there's a labour thread for someone, which mentions that LG&T is "pushing hers out right now" - can't find any more than that, but hopefully we'll see a birth announcement some time soon.
Have a good day all.

tinkisfourtyweeks · 16/01/2009 09:05

morning

nothing so far today hoping this baby will make an apperance over the wknd

cheers diege enjoy jj i used to take dd to that is good.

shelf is up for baby, just lampshade to get from next my dad is getting it. then this baby can come

Astarte · 16/01/2009 09:10

I think that blimmin' lampshade is the key Tink! You won't labour without that lampshade in place

tinkisfourtyweeks · 16/01/2009 09:14

my dad is picking it up this morning then putting it up before lunch wil update

Astarte · 16/01/2009 09:21

Gin is in labour!!!!

She posted at 5.50am that her contractions were every 2 mins and the m/w was on her way

She could have had her by now!!

Heebeejeebee · 16/01/2009 09:32

Hello! Remember me? Hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd pop in quickly to congratulation Nat, Kay, Pop and Teuch on their new arrivals!

Hope you're all doing well - its very quiet on the conception board at the moment. They are running some recurrent m/c tests at the moment, but I start can ttc again so hope to be joining you soon

Diege · 16/01/2009 09:41

How exciting Astarte . Is there a thread in labour (will investigate). TINKS, agree it's LBL for you my dear ('labour by lampshade'). Think if LG&T pops first though we're keeping to the proper order? .
Morning STAR! Not long till your leave now then till your leave - bet you can't wait .
Right have promised dd3 a croissant for her breakfast (she only wants one when I have one on my plate - I know it will be left..).
Oh and jeans update: the bleedin elastic on my over the bump ones is now digging in on top of rib cage . May have to look at some other pairs..
