So excited to be starting my first thread!!!

Just had a BFP this morning a couple of days before AF is due and according to FF, my EDD is 1st September 09.

I have one DD (March 05) and had MMC in late September this year, so a little nervous but really ready for this.

Looking forward to a few more people joining me on here!

WEll I am really lucky in that my mother lives very near, but at the same time she has her own issues at the moment with looking after my grandmother, who has dementia. I would hate for her to think "oh god, another person to worry about" (i.e. me). And I mean "another person to worry about" in the nicest possible way - she is a worrier, but in the best way.

The tests haven't changed really since I had ds 3 and a bit years ago. I had nuchal scans with both dd and ds. No blood tests apart from later on as am Rh-. Had anti-d after both births.

Well today i feel like a big bag of poo. The nausea has stepped up about 3 notches - very similar to my dd.

Told my mum last night and she was very supportive and is making herself available for THE DAY as she was there for the other 2.

How is everyone else feeling today?

peachyfox · 03/01/2009 12:36

Hello all,

Kookykid: I had 3 embryos put back so it could get very busy in there...but actually although I dream of twins, I think it's just one as my symptoms haven't been very strong - I had my first wave of nausea yesterday at 6+3.

When my doctor was putting our embryos back (perhaps not the most romantic conception but fascinating all the same) she asked if I was sure I wanted 3 as they looked pretty good. I said the more the merrier.

I'm just focusing on not going crazy before my first scan next week - please let me see a heartbeat!

Peachy

Morning All.

Sadly, I am here to remove myself from the list. Not going to give tmi, but lets just say that the bleeding is now sufficient for me to be certain that this pregnancy was not meant to be.

Keeping everything crossed for all of you and wish you all the best for the coming months and those little bundles of joy in September.

Thanks for your support over the last couple of days.

Morning Lix - hope you are feeling ok today and the bleeding isn't too bad for you. It's so hard to understand why these things happen, but the only way I could accept my mc was saying that for whatever reason, it was not meant to be at this time. I am sure you will go on to have a happy and healthy pregnancy in the future, and wish you all the luck in the world. In the meantime, try to rest as much as you can.

undercovermummy · 04/01/2009 16:07

Is anyone else feeling totally bleugh? Seriously, as soon as i got my bfp i have felt sick as a dog. Today i couldnt even raise my backside out of bed until 9.30. My dh was lovely and kept the other two entertained. Am finding that grazing is helping but i still feel bleugh. The pregnancy calculator makes me 4wks today, lets hope the other 36 fly by.

Although having said that my dd was born at 36wks so not sure what this pg has instore for me.

bobber · 04/01/2009 16:14

Lix - I am so sorry to read your news. Take lots of care of yourself. x

peachyfox · 04/01/2009 16:30

Lix - so sorry. Better times will come. Peachy

kookykid · 04/01/2009 16:37

undercovermummy - I am feeling like that too! Although I feel OK in the morning and then it seeems to get worse through the day. Just wish i could fast forward to 12 weeks. Think I am 6 weeks today. In a wqay getting back to work tomorrow will be good as it'll take my mind off things a bit.

undercovermummy · 04/01/2009 16:43

Kooky isnt it the pits! I mean i know on one hand you want symptoms to reassure you that all is ok but on the other you just want to feel human!

I have no idea how long this will last as i had it for 6wks with ds and 14 with dd

LittleRascal · 04/01/2009 16:45

i was felling bleugh in random times during the day but not yesterday or today. i have been incredibly busy so trying to keep my mind off things- else i get worried about why i dont feel pregnant! So kooky- same- wish for a speedy 1st trimester to get more into the safe zone!

scardypants · 04/01/2009 16:52

hi ladies,

would it be ok if I joined too?

I'll be 6wks on Wednesday. Was in hospital last week with ?EP. Hcg almost doubled in 48hrs and nothing unusual outside womb on scan so doc seems positive. I have another scan in the EPU on Thursday or Friday so I have everything crossed.

TTC #2 for 18mths (dd is 8yo) I'm so nervous but trying not to be. Not really feeling anything other than boobs like watermelons. Don't feel sick at all which is really worrying as I had hyperemesis with dd from the beginning.

I hated being so sick but I'm praying for it this time. It's a very scary time.

undercovermummy · 04/01/2009 18:28

Welcome Scardypants Congratulations

blinder · 04/01/2009 18:52

I don't feel sick either. No heightened smell sensitivity either. But I am absolutely shattered today and dreading going back to work tomorrow.
we have a fine sprinkling of snow here in South Wales and I'm praying for a blizzard and another couple of days in PJs.
Just feeling a bit moody - almost like PMS I think... Weepy one minute and grumpy the next.
anyone else emotional?

undercovermummy · 04/01/2009 19:09

Blinder, i watched Holby City on Thursday night that i had recorded just before Xmas and bawled my eyes out when Maria told Sam she wasnt going to NY with him. Eastenders also made me have prickly eyes!
