Due in September 2009 - Calling all the Christmas and New Year BFPs!

So excited to be starting my first thread!!!

Just had a BFP this morning a couple of days before AF is due and according to FF, my EDD is 1st September 09.

I have one DD (March 05) and had MMC in late September this year, so a little nervous but really ready for this.

Looking forward to a few more people joining me on here!

Hi all. Hope you're all warmer than I am in my freezing house today!

Welcome, HellHathNoFury and LJ29 - and congratulations. How was the doctor, LJ ?

Funny cramping round my lower midsection all afternoon, like indigestion. And I found I've lost 5 lbs since Christmas - I hadn't noticed, but I do know I've been off my food for a few days. Weird.

Hello,

Blinder - I talked to my friend last night who is a top-ranking midwife and all-round great source of preginfo. She said now is too early for most people to have any symptoms - at least she said it was still early for me ( I'm 6+5 - expect you're not quite that far along?). I've only just started having the odd wave of nausea, nothing strong enough to make me feel like I am actually going to vom.

Relax and enjoy!

Now, all I have to do is take my own advice

Docs was fine thanks. He said to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse to go back but suspects it will just settle down on its own. Got ring midwife in the morning o register pregnancy.

Trixie I can't believe you've lost 5lbs! Get eating, girl!

I had a horrible night worrying about the pg again, but am feeling awfully naseous tonight. Work went OK, am very glad to be down to 3 days a week now.

Hi folks, another for the list
I'm due on 9/9/09, I'm 31 and it's my first pregnancy.

I'm completely terrified right now - have suddenly decided that this was all a ridiculous idea; whatever made me think I was ready to be a parent? Hopefully that will pass...

I did a test on 30/12, which was when my period was due. It was negative so I didn't hold back for NYE! Oh well, people have done worse... Since then, my boobs have got really tender, I've had the odd mild period-like cramps but still no period so I did another test today which was most definitely positive. I haven't felt sick yet but have had a weird adrenalin-y nervous feeling (though that might be psychological!)

Looking forward to spending the next 8 months and beyond with you lot...fingers crossed.

Hi Princesslala, Congratulations on your BFP, I wouldnt worry about NYE, unfortunately just before both of my BFP I went on huge work nights out with no idea I was pregnant. It certainly did my DD no harm

Your LO is due on my birthday

How are all you other ladies doing?I still have really sore boobs and im very tired but no other obvious symptoms apart from slight nausea when Im really warm

Welome princess. Congrats on your BFP! If it makes you feel better I was a right lush over Christmas and I got my BFP on the 27th . (When I fell pg with my DD I was smoking too ).

Why don't we add our ages and rough locations to the list too? (I love lists!)

Hi all,discovered I was pregnant on NYE which was a lovely start to the NY.

Had a miscarriage in Aug at 10 weeks so feeling quite edgy this time round. Felt so sick when i was pregnant with my daughter (17months) and had no sickness when I miscarried so sort of hoping that the sickness arrives.

Great to be able to chat to other mums in a similar situation.

Due date is approx 12/09/09.

Welcome, Poppy! You're in good company here, several of us have had m/cs in the past, myself included, so we are all a bunch of nervous wrecks. Roll on 12 weeks!

I am feeling really rotten (tummy churning so not sure it's pg related), so off to bed.

Thanks for your reassuring message Peachy! I had a sudden wave of nausea this evening and that's reminded me to be careful what I wish for.

How was everyone's first day back at work (if relevant)? Anyone fall asleep on the job or vomit on the boss?

Hi girls. Another newbie for the list!!

I got a BFP on 27th after having early m/c at end Sept (8 weeks). What a fab Xmas pressie. This will be my 2nd baby - really exited, but can't help worrying that I'll m/c again .

Trying to stay optimistic. My EDD based on my LMP is 05/09/09.

My belly feels like its going to explode today, other than that just sore boobs at times.

Great to be part of the group.

Hello to all the latest additions.

Although I've known since Boxing Day Im still only 5 weeks today. Still cant quite believe it's real though,so got my early scan booked for a week on Friday.

Back to work today & kept it all to myself. I blabbed the 2 times I had my m/cs, so Im trying to do everything differently. I'll be the talk of the school soon though with all my toilet trips - twice in one lesson today

So that there are so many of us who have had m/c's. Had no idea they were this common - I didn't even worry about it happening when I was pg with dd. Am keeping everything crossed for us all having healthy pg's.

Bobber - I know exactly how you feel...am desperate to tell my friends at work but have decided to wait until my scan in 3 weeks...if I can wait that long

Peachy - good to hear from your mw friend...feel a bit better about my lack of symptoms now

Welcome to Hellhathnofury, LJ29, PrincessLaLa, Poppyfields and Willsmum.

Had a good morning and did actually feel human but then had to take kids to nursery then go off to college, felt quite sick most of the session its from 2-9pm and had to keep getting snacks. Got asked 3 times if i was pg and they were shocked when i said i was only 4wks!

Have got my food shopping coming in the and made sure it was full of healthy snacks rather than crap.

Been getting a fair few crampy stretchy feelings yesterday and today i remember feeling them this early with the other 2 but i guess my muscles are shot now so i should get used to it

detoxdiva Now I read somewhere a post on this wonderful site the positive way of looking at these m/c statistics. If you turn a bad stastic on its head it can seem really good. For example, even though I've had 2 & at my age I think statistically I've got a 1 in 3 chance of another, Ive actually got a 2 out of 3 chance of not, so the odds are in my favour!!

Im trying to convince myself of this anyway (normally Mrs. Doom&gloom so its a tough ol' job believing my mantra !!)
