T'is OK thanks Kay, have found a huge list I'd put together for someone else while I was pregnant with DS2, thank god for MN and the archives, t'is like your own personal life back up aid! LOL

kayzisexpecting · 28/11/2008 18:49

I did laugh at the earplugs. Its for sleeping through other peoples babies. But surely you would sleep through your own baby crying.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/11/2008 18:58

LOL I ordered some toiletries from online a few weeks back, they sent a pair of ear plugs as a 'freebie' gift, did laugh when I thought of actually using them in a post-natal ward...

Actually had forgotten about the ear plugs, might give them to DH so he can sleep through my snoring (he says he is sleeping on the sofa tonight, he's fed up of listening to the fog horn led next to him LOL)

sorkycake · 28/11/2008 19:03

Have had an angry cry and feel better. No it's not a question of money. I don't have any problems there, will just have to replace. It's just the fact it's completely unacceptable and selfish.
Have had a glass of rose and feel better

I might sleep on the sofa tonight. I always seem to get more comfy on the sofa and my back doesn't hurt so much.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/11/2008 19:09

Glad you're back on top Sorky, agree completely with you about it being the meaning behind it. Maybe you can look forward to replacing it all?

Right I am off, DH will be home any minute, spose I'd better start making the rest of the house look OK-ish!

G'night all xxx

Diege · 28/11/2008 19:23

I'm off too! Glad you're feeling a bit better sorky. I am dreading getting my stiff back from my sister - I know everyone will be barely salvageable, but then I did tell her I wouldn;t be having any more
Hope you have a comfy night KAY if you choose the sofa option...does sound appealing.
Night all! Hopefully speak over the weekend xx

Diege · 28/11/2008 19:23

My stuff - Freudian slip there

kayzisexpecting · 28/11/2008 19:28

I agree too that it is the principle rather than the money involved.

It is very tempting to stay on the sofa, but I'm sure DH will moan.

sorkycake · 28/11/2008 20:39

My Dh is a star!

He saw how upset I was, turned off tea and went in the loft. He said we'd had a discussion about whether to give her all the clothes and apparently he didn't want to (he knows her well).

Well, almost all of the treasured, significant pieces are accounted for. Things that even when the baby doesn't need them we'll keep as keepsakes if you will.

He then said not to worry, we'd go shopping for anything that fell short.
Y'know he doesn't say much, but everything he does say is always just the right thing at the right time

I took advantage of the situation and told him I'd bought the buggy.

Thanks for listening to my rant wagoners, it is much appreciated. No point in raising the issue within the family, it only creates ill-feeling.

I wish I could say I've learned my lesson, but no doubt she'll take the p*ss again.

G'night all, sleep well Kay.

Morning all from Keswick!

NJ - glad scan went well. Good luck for consultant - not sure what to suggest but you do have to be heard.

I got text from Glask yesterday. IIRC she had been thinking more girl thoughts in the last few days. Hope she has a great wkend!

Sorky - I can understand I would be stunned! Glad your DH was there.

Diege - saw mention of you being friends with a WAG?!? Did I miss something or get the wrong end of the stick in my skim reading or do you need to spill (as much as you can!?)

Kay - I'm sorry it has to be 10th Dec!!

Hi to everyone else and sorry if I've missed anything...

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 29/11/2008 09:57

morning

what a pain sorky

cheers kay that list is gr8 have most of it need to just pack last minute things now

hi ses

i am off into town on my own dh not working playing lego with dd
then we are putting up tree and decs this afternoon

kayzisexpecting · 29/11/2008 10:13

Morning,

I am soooooo tired but I spelt all night last night. I don't get it. I have a broken nights sleep and I feel like crap and I sleep all night and feel like crap.

I just said to DH "Shall we put my bags downstairs by the door?" He said "Why don't we leave them upstairs".

Well if I go into labour downstairs one of us will have to go upstairs and get the bags then come down again. Surely it makes sense.

Sorky, I am so jealous!! I love it in the Lakes. It is just so beautiful round there.

kayzisexpecting · 29/11/2008 10:20

I meant Ses not Sorky. I was even thinking Ses and still typed Sorky.

I blame pregnancy brain.

Diege · 29/11/2008 10:24

Morning! Hope you're OK today KAY - think you get to the stage in late pregnancy when it doesn't matter how you sleep, you still feel rubbish Hope you can get through the day ok
Sounds like you have a nice day planned TINKS. Have just ordered some bits from Verbaudet, and wondered how long delivery generally is? In the past it's been ridicuously long, but wonderd what your recent experience had been with the items you ordered?
SES, good to hear from you 'on location' . Yes, tis true about me and the WAG, although I haven't spoken to her for a year or so after we sort of fell out on the quiet when we went on holiday together (just us and 6 kids, a recipe for disaster really!). We are talking north west premiership, but not really someone that everyone would instantly know! (ie, my dh knew, but name meant nothing to me!)
Hope everyone is well - it is so foggy here!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 29/11/2008 12:52

omg- just wrote a really long message and managed to delete it before i hit post

will try again!

Ses- hope you are enjoying the lovely Lakes! is it cold? Was freezing in guildford this morning!

Hi Gruff- hope you are feeling better soon..Thought of you today when I was in H&M in guildford

Sorky- glad you found your best baby bits in the loft. I'd be really annoyed if someone didnt return nicer stuff!

Diege- meant to ask, are you pleased with you IO dresses? I need to get something for xmas and my 1st wedding anniversary (1 month today!) dinner cant wait!

Hi Kay, Nat, 2BG

Am resting now with hot water bottle on the sofa.. really sore achey bump, like I've run a marathon with a stich, so taking it easy this afternoon. Bliss, online baby bits browsing and MNing!

Hope everyone else is ok! posting before I delete again!

Diege · 29/11/2008 13:54

Hi GYO . Taking it easy sounds good!
Yes, would definitely recommend IO dresses. In fact if I was wanting to buy something special for xmas I would go for their ruffle dress; it's really gorgeous. If you do buy over the weekend, put 'FESTIVE' into the code box at checkout and you'll get a discount. Not sure what it is today (15%?) but it reduces as the days go on. Got 25% off yesterday .
Was sick again this morning, so not out of the ms woods just yet. Never mind, I'll get there yet

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 29/11/2008 13:56

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 29/11/2008 14:33

Hello Tink and Diege

Tink F&C for lunch sounds lovely! Definately freezing today...

Re hospital bags, when did you pack yours Tink? Just read on the hopsitalbag website (nat mentioned the link) that it should be packed by end 2nd trimester! Seems early or am I too relaxed about it!!?

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 29/11/2008 16:07

kayzisexpecting · 29/11/2008 20:37

Evening,

I have done too much walking today and I feel awful. I am tired, achey and just feel dreadful.

Not getting my hopes up that it will have done any good though.

Going to have to have an early night tonight I think.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 29/11/2008 21:32

hope u feel better after a good nights sleep.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 30/11/2008 08:27

morning

just having my porridge fix
it is wet and cold here

kayzisexpecting · 30/11/2008 10:43

Morning,

I was right, all my walking was in vain. No labour just backache and a few BH's.

DS came up to me earlier and put his head on my bump, stroked it and said "Hello Baby". I nearly cried my eyes out. It was so cute.

Hope you are having good weekends.
