storkycake · 11/12/2008 13:22

hi tink

I haven't told the kids, not looking forward to that

Still waiting for Dh to get in, but toddler has stopped whinging and climbing all over me so situation is a little better.

kids still haven't been fed yet.

I wonder where everyone is today. Do you think Kay is having her baby?

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 11/12/2008 13:32

i hope so

she was having a trickly of waters this morning then she was seeing the midwife

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 13:47

i've just text kay to ask if she's in labour!!

got loads of goodies for xmas... a massive Kilo box of biscuits for DH and DC's over xmas (i'm not a biscuit fan) some mini funsize bags of malteasers and twix bars... now them i will eat... lots of lovely butchers sandwich meat, bakery bread rolls... and a massive bag of grapes for me to pick at through the day week...

Also went to buy a 'thank-you' present for my great aunt who's given us a lovely suite, #got them a lovely bottle of vintage red wine, cost a fair bit, but hopefully they'll apreciate it!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 13:48

Kay isn't in labour... she went to MW who was running an hour late, then went shopping!! Gutted- i was exited she was in labour!!- she should be joining us any min!!

kayzisexpecting · 11/12/2008 13:58

HI!!!

Were you all excited?????

MW was running an hour late today! I am a bit annoyed as my consultant rang her to ask her to talk me out of HB. She told him to pee off(not using those words) and that having a HB was no different from having him at Malton.

I have done far too much walking today. I've got a stitch in my side which is quite uncomfy. But it might have done me some good.

Hope everyone is ok this afternoon, I might go sleep now. The walk has really taken it out of me.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 14:05

haha Kay- i think you got Tink and Storky going!!

I also got a bit exited!!though i'm kinda expecting a text when it all kicks off!!

Not nice what your cons did!! I'd be fuming at that!! At the end of the day you can just as easily be transfered from home to hospital as you can from hospital to hospital really... Though i'm lucky that i'm only a 2min drive from my hospital if anythign were to go wrong... but it never really entered my mind that it'd come to being transfered...

kayzisexpecting · 11/12/2008 14:11

I know, I thought it was a bit horrible. MW said to me that she thinks doctors and consultants are scared of HB's.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 14:20

well the MW will know best, she's only trained in that area... not like a GP/cons who's normally a 'jack of all trades'!!

storkycake · 11/12/2008 14:28

What a bummin' cheek! Good on the m/w for telling you too.
HB's scare them because they have no role to play. How will they justify their positions unless everyone is conveyor-belt managed?

You absolutely had me excited there btw, I even lurked on you Dec AN thread in case you'd posted there first
Someone over there did have a baby whilst I was lurking though, which was nice

Dh is back and has taken over, fed the kids, changed a nappy put me to bed and brought me a cuppa. I love him tons!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 14:31

storky- can you send him here to change DD's bum for me please??? i'm almost certain she's pooed and i can't get the courage to go and change it as i know i'll have to run and be sick afterwards (dont ask- only since pregnancy!!)

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 14:33

actually- i just shamed myself into it!! no need to send him now!!

storkycake · 11/12/2008 14:35

ds2 surruptiously ate 3 kiwi's yesterday and Dh has just paid the price . It smelt vile and even he was groaning at the stink. Luckily, he was pooing as Dh was pulling up on the drive teehee!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 14:46

yuk storky- my DD's wasn't that bad!! but i kept getting little whiffs of it for the last 10mins or so... think its just all the smely stuff after not eating well since weekend.

Also think DD is getting conjunctivitis!!! will it ever blimin end?????? she's had 2 big balls of yellowish gloopy gunk in the corner of her eye since lunch-time!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 14:48

right, i'm taking the kids for a walk... then hoping to get an hours rest on the sofa before tea, bath and bed.

tata 4 now. xxx

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 15:54

right i'm back... have walked to the shops, but can't get comfy on the sofa... my migrane is nothing but a teeny tiny headache now!! hopefully the rest will be slept off tonight!!

where is everyone??

kayzisexpecting · 11/12/2008 17:17

I'm here after a nap. My poor Dad comes all this way to visit and I go and have a nap. Dreadful!!

I'm feeling a bit sick now. I think Glask has sent me her bug via text.

DS is doing gymnastics today. He keeps jumping around the sofa and trying to do forward rolls.

Apparently my consultant is the same with everyone wanting a HB. He always rings the MW of the pg lady to try and talk them out of it.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 17:21

No Kay- dont blame me- i didn't send it!!! i promise

I was phoning round MIL and BIL to make sure none of them had been sent home with the bug as DS had been showing signs when they were visiting!! I get so paranoid that my kids are going to pass every bug possible on to other people!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 17:29

can i do the next thread??? I've just thought of a fab title!!!! after all we're only a few more posts off needing it!!

storkycake · 11/12/2008 17:31

storkycake · 11/12/2008 17:32
