Hello everyone

thought i'd start the new thread since i haven't posted on the last one in a couple of days.

I'm well although my patience/tolerance/ability to smile has completely gone out of the window. I don't seem to have any patience with DD (she really is suffering) or DH. i'm moody and sulky. the only thing that seems to calm me down is a nice bath at the end of the day.

Is it all pregnancy hormones and is anyone else feeling the same!?!?!

Hi all, nice to have a new thread it's much quicker now.

I get the grumps evey so often, but I've much better this time than with DS.

Very tired at the moment as DS is cutting his canines and has been doing for about 6 weeks!!! He keeps waking in the nightand crying, do you think he's trying to prepare me for the new baby?

Twiga, are you sure that you even have to work nights? I'm sure there's legislation about pregnant women doing night shifts. It seems completely unreasonable to expect you too to me.

I'm starting to get worried about the birth too, I've had that revelation that the baby is in there and it has to get out. My fears are all unfouneded as I didn't have a single stitch last time and I have no reason to think that I won't again. Except for the potential size of the baby. DS was quite big, but had a little head.

I can't have much of a bump, I booked an ante-natal appointment at the doctors and the receptionist asked me of it was my first appointment!! I thought I was growing too, I was a bit dissappointed.

Hope you are all well.

Hi. I'm here on behalf of Spacecadet to say that unfortunatley her precious little baby died last night. A little girl called Eve. She won't be around for a while as she is, as you can imagine, devastated. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

blossom2 · 16/03/2005 21:52

Please Please Please pass on our wishes & thoughts to her.

i've been looking through the last thread to find out how many kids she had. How old was the little one or has spacecadet had a miscarriage? i'm sorry for asking.

Eulalia · 18/03/2005 12:54

Twiga - how are things at your work?

Had a bath today (at my parents house (we don't have one) and saw little kicks in my tummy. don't remember seeing this so early on last time. It was nice to have a few mins to myself to bond with baby, particularly as the school hols are coming up.

leahbump · 18/03/2005 12:55

((spacecadet)) so sorry to hear your news.

leahbump · 18/03/2005 12:58

Hi everyone,

getting excited as there are 6 days to our scan!! Hope baby co-operates.

Anyone else got names?? after struggling like mad over boys names we have one!! Only one but Thankfully it seems absolutely right! Have two options for a girl but then we had about 25 to narrow it down from!! Last time we couldn't get girls names..thankfully we had a ds!

Sooo excited to find out!!

Twiga · 18/03/2005 13:04

Eulalia, I saw my GP this morning and he's signed me off for two weeks with anxiety/stress. Spoke to my line manager this morning and suddenly work are bending over backwards to get some of the practical elements sorted out ie providing a small fridge so I have somewhere to store a meal without the risk of it being spat in etc. It's a huge relief not to be going in for a while and hopefully by the time I get back the group we've got in now will have moved on - not that that guarentees things will be better.

Wow at you being able to see movement, that's so cool. I think I may have felt some movements yesterday, but this is my first so could just be wind. Not noticed anything since.

Got my mid-wife appt at 2pm - it's the 16 week one with blood tests etc, the irrational part of me is really worried they won't find a heartbeat, so I'll be glad when I've been and it's all over. Not keen on needles either! Dh is operating all afternoon so can't come with me.

Twiga · 18/03/2005 13:09

leahbump, we've got a names picked - have narrowed down to one of each, middle names are proving a bit harder to come up with though.

Oh, also if you guys want to see something really cute, check out hub2dees thread/chat here bean2hub2dee

Azure · 18/03/2005 13:40

Twiga, what a relief you don't have to go into work for a while and they are making changes for you. Good luck for your midwife's appointment.

I saw my GP yesterday and was delighted to hear a good, strong heartbeat. I had been having a bit (lot?) of a panic over whether everything is alright. In celebration I went to up-market maternity shop Formes in Covent Garden this lunchtime - and came away with absolutely nothing. I really like there stuff last time, but this time it's just not for me. Just as well, really, as it's sooo expensive. Luckily my Formes suit from last time is still wearable, although I'm not too keen on the shape of the trousers. I'm bursting out of my other clothes so need to get some new things for work pronto. I'm ok for casual stuff. Between my sister and me this is the 5th pregnancy and there is a good range of items, bought everywhere from Hong Kong to the States (where my sis had #1 and #3).

Azure · 18/03/2005 13:42

Haven't thought about names yet. DS insists on calling the baby Thomas, which we'll probably keep as a middle name.

Twiga · 18/03/2005 14:46

Hi all, just got back from my mid-wife appt and everything is fine. Good strong heartbeat - midwife took a minute to find it as baby kept shifting about. Mid-wife was great and kept me distracted while she took my blood, so all in all I worried about nothing .

Azure · 18/03/2005 15:28

Twiga, great news. It's such a relief to hear the heartbeat, isn't it?

MissChief · 18/03/2005 16:55

ds wants name to be either Mr Orange (named after pink toy) or Po (from teletubbies)!
