I've created a new thread for us when we run out of space here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/653929-Due-May-2009-It-39-s-all-in-front-of?rnd=1227541349785

Thanks, divedaisy - it is mainly the needing to pee that's waking me up but also I just find it hard getting comfy and remembering to sleep on my side. I have been a bit worried about everything lately - saying to DH things like how many hours shall I go back to work after maternity leave, and he just tells me not to worry about that yet...so I'm hoping that with more gentle exercise, it will calm me down a bit.

I also get really thirsty so drinking a lot in the evening which is probably making the toilet visits worse! Had my blood and urine tested a few weeks ago though and the midwife said they'd be in touch with the results and it'd probably be sooner if there were any problems.

Hi everyone. I just had my 3 months scan and...

It's a BOY!

All is well, little monkey was dancing around the whole time. Nose bone, good nuchal measurement, heart, brain, everything good.

Sooooo happy

SweetBROODY · 24/11/2008 16:38

MsG I know what you mean I have been doing the same.. Then DH decided he wants to buy a car on finance on top of all the costs of the baby.. I havent slept well in ages.. I guess its the identity crisis that men go through.. but I had to make him see that once i'm on maternity we cant afford that - what with a mortgage and not that much in savings..

I try listenting to calming music at bedtime to see if it helps you should try it..

SweetBROODY · 24/11/2008 16:42

Cote thats fab so envious of the early May ladies.. well chuffed for you...

I've got another scan booked on the 16th December - they want to check the babies heart in detail...

My nuchal came back as low risk..

still very tired..

are there others who arent very hungry? I feel a bit guilty for not having put on any weight..

MsG · 24/11/2008 16:47

Cote, that's lovely news.

Sweetbroody, don't feel guilty about that - everyone's different. I've put quite a bit on already but that's from stuffing my face so much and I hardly dared exercise in the first 12 weeks. I've started doing more now so hopefully I won't put the same on again in the next trimester...but if I do, I do...

Hope your scan in Dec goes well - why do they need to do that? Good idea about listening to calming music! x

CoteDAzur · 24/11/2008 16:48

Hooray for the heartbeat method, boo for the cravings method

I crave/eat exactly the same kind of savoury & citrus things that I did when pregnant with DD.

But DD's heart rate at 7 weeks was about 170 and this one was 145.

CoteDAzur · 24/11/2008 16:49

SweetBroody - I'm due end of May, not beginning. Actually, ultrasound specialist thinks I have ovulated 5 days late, so pushed my due date to beginning of June!

SweetBROODY · 24/11/2008 16:51

MsG Its because I am at a higher risk of congenital heart problems because of my diabetes... its ok though I am going to try and stay positive...

Thank you for the good wishes...

With the music thing they say that if the baby gets used to it you can use it as a cheat way of getting them to sleep when they are born.. once they can hear it in the womb that is

So its dual purpose!

SweetBROODY · 24/11/2008 16:58

Cote of course Doh! Blame the pregnancy brain! So how did you find out the sex at your 3 month scan? I dont think they could tell at mine S

CoteDAzur · 24/11/2008 17:02

I don't know how he does it, but this ultrasound specialist is apparently one of the best in the world and has super duper equipment. He knew DD's sex at her 3 month scan, as well.

He's certain this one is a boy and actually said "There's the zizi, Madame"

SweetBROODY · 24/11/2008 17:09

Thats so lucky! I'd love to know what our little one is going to be... We've been calling it mini :S

Just found out another of my friends is also due around the time we are! I think its amazing.. so happy for her...

it will be really good to have the babys together!

SweetBROODY · 24/11/2008 17:10

Fryn Hackney isnt that far from Barnet... have you looked at Yoga classes? How is your pregnancy coming along?

1stMrsF · 24/11/2008 17:26

Had 1st consultant appointment today at hospital and feeling a bit more reassured about consultant led care now.

He couldn't find their heartbeats with doppler (15 weeks) so got the portable ultrasound and had a look instead - amazing! Saw both heartbeats and both babies moving around loads, waving arms and legs and jumping! An advantage of twins is that we will be scanned a lot

SpangleMaker · 24/11/2008 19:42

SweetBroody very sorry to hear about your Dad and your bleeding. Glad the bleeding is sorted out though.

Cote congrats on your little boy - how exciting! I just can't wait til my scan now (tho will probably be nervous just before) - hope baby is co-operating. btw I will never think the same way about the restaurant chain Zizi..

pulapula I'm with DfT, not outing myself by getting more precise though!

1stMrsF congrats on the scan, must be so amazing to see two little wrigglers

alapala · 24/11/2008 20:08

well i'll say bye bye to this thread and see you all soon on the new one. Not much to report here, still completely undecided on amnio, addicted to taramasalata (smuggled into spain by relatives!), and generally exhausted. Laters!

Febes · 24/11/2008 20:29

Byeeeeeeeeee see you on the other side.

frazzledoldbag34 · 24/11/2008 20:32
