kayzisexpecting · 01/11/2008 11:13

No I'm not. Wasn't she TheBiggestTeuch? I think.

I just searched for my BFP. There is about 10 pages of me going "Its to faint to be a BFP" or "The digital one says negative" and then there is you and everyone else going "Its a BFP woman!!" Its quite funny but now DH thinks I am mad.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/11/2008 11:22

Last I've found was 'BigTeuchLittleTeuch', 23rd October, no mention of anything wrong or anything like that. Is she on FB? (Yes I know I could look at mine, but I have no idea how to work it!)

I was looking at my BFP with DS2 the other week, seems like only yesterday, can't believe it was nearly 3 years ago!

kayzisexpecting · 01/11/2008 11:28

I'm not sure. The last post I found was her say congrats to Diege.

Will go and look at Facebook.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/11/2008 11:35

Nope, I cocked up, she posted on Monday on a different thread about a free delivery code for Next - take that as a sign she's OK!

kayzisexpecting · 01/11/2008 11:45

Thats alright then. That should mean she is ok.

How about Pop and LG&T? Not heard from them since I've been back.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/11/2008 12:07

Not seen Pop for agesssss, LG&T was posting on the due in Jan thread, but I haven't been on it for ages now so don't know if she still is. I am pretty sure I have seen posts from her around other boards though.

kayzisexpecting · 01/11/2008 12:18

Yeah I thought I had seen some from LG&T. I remember Pop was having twins. But thats about it really.

Diege · 01/11/2008 12:55

Hello! Well, first acupuncture session went well. Really interesting to hear that my particualr sickness is caused by too much heat in the body - that's why ginger (warming) is useless. Will see how it goes. He's recommending 2 sessions a week, but as £36 a shot it will have to be one I think! Feeling more positive anyway, which is a good thing!
I was thinking about POP too - I'm sure things are fine, but would be good to catch up.
Hoping you're OK GLASK!
Party sounded good NAT! (know what you mean by 'as good as..'
Enjoy TOYSRUS TINKS!
Hi SES - Nat's right, you're doing the equivalent of running a marathan a day!
Speak later x

2beautifulgalsandabean · 01/11/2008 13:12

Helllllooooo everyone.

Glask i hope you are doing better today, sounded very frightening. Thinking of you.

NJ party sounded like it was a hit. Sorry about your Contractions, not fun. I know this might seem like a silly questions, but how do you know when they are real contractions and you are dilating and need to go into hosp

Diege- hope the acupunture helps ease the sickness. i was a bit at £36.00. How long does the session last?

Right Girls i have a dilemma. I was reading something this morning which got me remembering that DH is circumcised Anyway i then asked him if we had a boy would he be circumcised, he said yea. DH is american and it the norm to circumcism baby boys shortly after birth. All his family are, all his friedns etc. Anyway i have been reading about it and totally disagree with it. Basically done for cosmetic reasons rather than any other! Usually no anestethic (sp) used just looks like torture
However we will be moving to the US shortly after babies arrival and DH says if we have a boy and he isn't circumcised he will get loads of grief at school from others as what he remembers. What are your views?

tinkisbigandinneedofzzzzzzzzz · 01/11/2008 13:28

hi

what weather it is freezing here, wet and so dark nov has come in with a storm
had a good look around toys rus got good ideas for baby toys having lunch now and exhausted

poor you nat with contractions
not long kay
diege actupunture sounds good
2bgs i dont know 2 much about it does sound a horrid thing to do

Diege · 01/11/2008 13:50

Bright sun here (sorry TINKS!).
2BG, I've also done some reading around circumcision and tend to agree with what you are saying. I don't think anyone would agree with female circumscision to 'fit in' (ie, for cultural reasons) so why male? There again I suppose the health problems aren't (in long term)like female (or are they??). Let's hope you have a girl and don't have the debate! Seriously though, it's something that needs serious discussion - kids will always pick up on something to tease others about, and your dh's role will be to give your ds a secure and strong self-identity if he needs to put up with 'taunts'!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 01/11/2008 14:18

2BG - I agree this is something you'll need to talk out. I really can't see the purpose of routine circumcision. I do understand that for some cultures and religions it would be frowned on not to. I didn't realize that it was common practice across America. As for no anaesthetic...

Diege - really hope the accupuncture works. I had it once for whiplash. I know that's a bit different but it really helped me.

Tink - the weather here is pants too. Been raining non-stop. DH took the dogs for a walk and he came back drenched! He did find a farm shop and bought us a free range chicken for tomorrow.

wilsonmummy · 01/11/2008 15:19

Hi

Glask..sorry for your problems, hope you get all fixed up and back at home in no time!

2bgs... also not sure with c, my nephews are both american and their both c, my anuty said it was more of a cleanliness thing as cannot really watch how clean boys are when they get to a certain age, which i can see her point with, but they def did have anaesthetic, but just to fit in, don't think thats a really valid point for having it done!!

Deige.. hope accupuncture is working for you, does it hurt!! never fancied the thought of having needles put in me but they look so thin should'nt imagine it hurts to much!!

Weathers pants here to, its either drizzled all day or gale force winds!!! oh the joy of english waether!

Hey to everyone else.

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/11/2008 19:24

Diege, so would it help to stay cool? Or is it an internal heat thing? T'is very interesting to know why! Would things that cool you down inside help? Mints and ice cream/lollies etc.?

2BG, how do I know? I don't! Have never gone into labour completely naturally, and even when my waters broke with DS2 and the contractions had really started I still kept thinking "Is this it?" There was no "you'll just know when it's time" like how some people describe it. MW's say to look out for signs of dilation, (i.e. cervix pain, having a show, any bleeding etc.) but I get all of that (except the bleeding) as part of the contractions anyway, have been losing bits of my show for the last few weeks, so that would be no sign for me. I think I'll know by the time the baby is crowning, maybe As for your situation re. circumsision, not sure I'm much help TBH! FWIW, as much as I disagree with the cosmetic reason, it is considered a really big deal in America, though I am sure your DH has already told you that! And it can be done with anaesthetic, I think it is an old fashioned process to have it done without, though may be wrong on that.

Glask, I know you're not reading this but wanted you to know that I am thinking of you.

Weather is OK-ish here, not any wind or rain to speak of. Though I have spent the afternoon catching up on sleep so maybe I missed it!

wilsonmummy · 01/11/2008 20:03

Hola!

It's very quiet on here tonight, must all be either feeling poo or having to much of a good time to chat!!!

Hope everyone is well! x

Hi Wilson!

We're busy watching X Factor!

Trying to rest a bit actually as when I twisted round earlier I felt a pulling sensation which has only partly gone away so I hope everything's ok.

wilsonmummy · 01/11/2008 20:26

Oh ses thats not good, hopefully will go away soon enough! I've moved akwardly in bed a couple of times this last few days and hurt the lower part of my tummy. Hopefully nothing to worry about!!

Enjoy x factor, i'm living with pa so no say over tv watching, thats why i'm surfing!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/11/2008 08:18

Morning! Tummy just feels like it's stretching this morning so I think everythings ok
Fell asleep before X Factor results so will watch that later.

Can't believe I'm back at work tomorrow. Will have to try and get my head round that...

Kay - should I mention the Spurs and Arsenal results yesterday??!

tinkisbigandinneedofzzzzzzzzz · 02/11/2008 10:22

morning

is dark here again today

ses glad stretching better

i am off to sainsburys in a min to see what baby things that i can get as 1/3 off till tomorrow

2beautifulgalsandabean · 02/11/2008 10:24

Morning everyone.

Ses- i often move too quick and getting pulling. Just stretching and will be stretching a lot more soon
I fell asleep before alexandra and the bot group even sang last night. DH told me the results thou. What time is the repeat on?

We took the DD's to Wacky warehouse, then for tea then to watch a fireworks display in the rain they enjoyed it.

Thanks everyone for the advice on circumcision. Tried to talk to DH about it, but we both have such different views on it going to be a hard one to decide! Re the anaesthetic. Due the babe being so young they can't have a general like an older child or an adult would have if they were having the procedure. So they are given a local in the penis, however due to it causing swelling they don't like to give too much. I made DH watch a video on the net of it being done.
Scan on Friday can't wait
Just had a horrid realisation this morning. We have booked to go to Disneyland Paris Xmas eve. However we are still awaiting for the Home office to process DH's visa They have had it 9 weeks now. Just hoping it is going to be processed by then as they have both mine and DH's passports We thought it would be around 4-5 weeks according to there website!!

kayzisexpecting · 02/11/2008 11:05

Morning,

Weather is awful here. Hasn't stopped raining all morning!

Ses, we will not mention any football at all thanks!! Bloody useless!!

2BG, I couldn't get it done to my DS's. Not in a million years. If your DS is going to be picked on in school he will do. Circumcision or not.

I'm really tired, can hardly keep my eyes open and feel pretty awful. DH said to me last night that if I express he'll get up and do some night feeds so I can stay asleep. Which is really sweet but I don't think he realises I'll never be able to sleep through baby crying.

I hope Diege and Glask are feeling a bit better today.

Diege · 02/11/2008 11:59

Morning . Well after respite after acupuncture was very sick in the night, and also this morning. I am perserving with the acupuncture though, and will get an extra mid-week appointment too. I think if I going to try it I have to give it the best shot, and I did feel better yesterday. It did say on the info' that sometimes symptoms get worse before they get better , so we'll see... Oh and on the subject someone asked about how long for £41? That was intial appointment (45 mins) after that it's £36 for 30 mins.
Funny about the heat thing Nat - that's what I thought too, but it's an 'internal' heat. My hands and feet are always freezing, but that's a sign of the body trying to get it out . I'll believe anything, me
KAY - hope you had a good sleep and are feeling better. I know what you mean about crying babies - even when dh did get up I was wide awake anyway so may as well have done it!
2BG - might it be worth giving the Home Office a call? Last thing you need is stress about visa on run up to xmas (though bet it's a busy time for them).
SES, snap here. Had to go to bed before x-factor results, so will watch this afternoon. I did hear the results on radio though!
Enjoy shops TINKS - good idea to get stuff while it's cheap .

tinkisbigandinneedofzzzzzzzzz · 02/11/2008 12:58

hi

went to sainsburys - bought

nappies, infacol, breast pads, fisher price teether rattles really sweet were buy one get one free got a giraffee and a zebra, milk powder gone for aptimal used with dd,huggies wipes cant be doing with water and cottom wool, dummies etc

kay - i cant keep eyes open either
diege - hope you feel better soon

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/11/2008 14:12

Diege - I don't know if it's the same but my first session of accupuncture for the whiplash made it sooo painful it was unbearable. I couldn't stand still without crying with the pain. I phoned them and told them and when I went back for my second session, he adjusted the time the needles were left in and it worked wonders. Definitely make sure you tell them how you felt and what happened when you go back.

tink - good shopping

2BG - hope the visa gets sorted

Kay - I won't say anything other than 7 points in 7 days!!

Glaskham - thinking of you but sure you'll be getting the treatment you need.

Pulling pains gone for now but now worried as my belly seems to have shrunk! Am sure it's just because the baby is growing and taking all my calories. I've not been snacking nearly as much in the last 9 weeks too so maybe it's all of that combined...

Hope everyone has a good afternoon!

sorkycake · 02/11/2008 14:34
