sorkycake · 02/11/2008 14:44

Ooh heck, I forgot.

We bought a car yesterday . A galaxy, I love it! Pick it up on Saturday iirc.

I've only got the buggy to get and that's us done, hooray!

sorkycake · 02/11/2008 14:45

Oh yes, and all my fluffy nappy goodness arrived on Saturday morning too. I'm officially a brainless numbnut.
woohoo!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/11/2008 15:24

Hi Sorky
Car sounds good! How many weeks are you now?

I'm just watching X Factor results. Can someone tell me who is voting for Daniel??!

Heebeejeebee · 02/11/2008 16:48

Evening all! Well my brother, sil, niece and nephew left at 2pm and I took to my bed and slept for 2 hours. I was sooooo tired, but had a lovely weekend.

Sorky - v exciting re new car! We are going to need a new one (ours is pretty much a 2 seater) but we'll probably start looking next year.

2bg - good luck re the circumcision question - hope you and dh come to a solution.

Glask - sounds very nasty - I hope the hospital are taking good care of you, and I'm thinking of you.

Diege - I hope the acupuncture works - I paid something similar (I bought a course of 10 so ended up paying aboutg £35 per session)..

NJ - hope the contractions are ok

Ses - hope the twinges are settling!!

Just settling down to watch the grand prix now!

tinkisbigandinneedofzzzzzzzzz · 02/11/2008 17:38

squack - car sounds great and nappies

i have packed my birth bags, my nesting is ridicolous

i was well cross with xfactor result who is she?

kayzisexpecting · 02/11/2008 18:44

Bloody X Factor!!! I can not believe it!!!!

I'm watching Grand Prix and I've had to be quite refrained from shouting at the tv.

I'm really hoping we get our security bond back from the flat soon. We are buying the nappies with it and I want to have them here in time for baby.

kayzisexpecting · 02/11/2008 18:49

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO LEWIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I nearly fell off my chair!!!!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/11/2008 20:10

wilsonmummy · 02/11/2008 21:08

Morning

Ses, yep all the pulling and almost a tightness in your belly is perfectly normal Everything is stretching and organs are shifting about, your uterus will be moving upwards and squashing everything else in it's way. And IIRC, it was around 13/14 weeks when I stoppped holding litres of water "growing" and started to settle down.

Tink, hoorah for shopping And packing your hospital bags Should I have done mine? Still seems like so long to go!

Diege, you know, they might have a point about your hands and feet. DS2 get's febrile convulsions (he fits if his temp. get's too high), and whilst I don't pretend to know exactly what happens to him, I do know that before he fits he shivers (even though he is HOT), and the doctor said that was his bodies way of trying to cool it's self down, but it has the opposit effect in that because he is shivering, his body will try and produce more heat to stop the shivering.... or something like that

Grand Prix was a bit tense there.... (read: me and DS1 stood up shouting at telly, DS2 running around with his Postman Pat van brumming at the telly, because obviously Postman Pat should have won it, and DH sat there all calm "he's bound to win..." five seconds later "Oh maybe not...." five seconds later "I told you, he's bound to win...." - ever the optimist!)

I have a potentially exciting week, it is the sixth week since ordering the buggy and furniture, which is when they said the buggy and stuff would be due in, and when they said the furniture would be delivered - roughly - so we'll either be sat biting our nails all week waiting for phone calls to say they're delivering the furniture/go and pick the buggy and other stuff up, or when they said 6 weeks they actually meant 6 and a half weeks 10 weeks and we'll hear nothing from either of them!

Well, it's first day back to school yeeesssssssssssssssss ahem, had better go and get ready!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/11/2008 07:00

Sorry Wilson, I'm not too keen on the names together (not sure if they sound a bit like a solicitors firm?) but they are both lovely names, as always though, what do I know?! (My sister had me considering Monty for all of 5 minutes last week, just shows my lack of taste!!)

wilsonmummy · 03/11/2008 07:10

Mornin Nat

Had a rubbish nights sleep and then to top it off dd1 woke me up really early again, its starting to grate on me sleeping in the same room as her now as she's now waking me up to re arrange her blanket or that her foots poking out!! (rips hair out)

Also had my first morning of proper gagging today don't know if that had something to do with me coughing though!

Was also thinking about that with the two names together, think may still stick with Cole though!

School photo's this morning, better make sure they look like cherubs!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 03/11/2008 07:25

Morning!

NJ - does sound like an exciting week. Hope it all arrives promptly!

Wilson - I'd agree and stick with Cole. Must be getting v frustrating with dd waking you.

Right, back to work for me today so I must move! Guess I could tell a few people my news finally!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/11/2008 08:16

Sorry for crappy sleep Wilson, if it helps you're not the only one! (I know it doesn't help really, but got to get my moan in as well!! )

Ses, how exciting being able to tell tell tell

On the subject of names, anyone got any nice boys names, traditional, but maybe a bit funky, nothing begining with B (surname begins with O), that DH won't poo poo from the very second I mention it?

There is frustration building around the name thing, can quite easily see this baby getting to 6 weeks old before we give up and call him Peter or something equally as un-interesting!

Anddddddd, anyone know when position of the baby starts to actually matter? He has been transverse for the last week or so, the boys were always head down from 28 weeks, don't know when it becomes a problem if they aren't head down?

Heebeejeebee · 03/11/2008 08:55

Morning all!

Well my scan is tomorrow and I've gone from being quietly ok, to being absolutely terrified. Couldn't sleep last night (think it was something to do with the 2 hours in bed in the afternoon, then watching Saw IV before I went to bed) but worked myself up into a slow panic about it.

NJ - hope your stuff arrives! Sadly I can't help at all re the position of the baby, but I'm sure someone much wiser than me will be about in a minute!!!

Wilson - I'm with NJ - I really like Cole, but not with Bailey.

Ses - enjoy telling people your news!!!

Diege · 03/11/2008 08:59

Morning! Feeling slightly brighter today, so posting while I can!
Hi NAT - good luck with furniture situation - now it's 'the week' could you give them a call to find out which day to expect them at least? Oh and re; positions, all my 3 were transverse until 36 weeks. I think they don't expect baby to 'settle' head down until 37/38 weeks, and wouldn't expect a head down baby at say 32 weeks to necessarily stay that way.
Enjoy the telling SES! Tell one and everyone knows in my opinion!
WILSON - I actually like the 2 names together . Presuming 'Bailey' is second name and not surname?
Well dh is coming back at lunchtime to take me to work to get my stuff. That way I can put my lectures online from home. Feel quite nervous actually - more to do with skirting round why I'm not going to be in etc to colleagues...Still, an hour or so stress for a far easier time over the next few weeks.

Diege · 03/11/2008 09:01

x-posts HEEBS - also getting anxious here but it is only natural. I'm sure you will be absolutely fine, though know exactly how it feels!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 03/11/2008 09:05

Morning all... Thanks for all the get well wishes!!

was discharged late yesterday, got a massive bruise on my hand from the drip again, back on a higher dose of cyclazine, told if i'm sick more than 6 times in a day to go straight back to the ward for an overnight stay with fluids on a drip.

Hopefully i'll be ok though... Supposed to be on bed-rest but have to get DS to and from nursery- with the holidays and my last bed rest, aswell as his illness he's only been 3 days in the last 4 wks!! Will be taking it easy otherwise, hoping to spend the afternoon at my mums so she can sort the kids and i can nap upstairs, and also she'll feed them tea before we come home then all i have to do is the Bath and bed when we get home.

Got my 16wk midwife app tomorrow too, so my sister is coming here for the afternoon then i dont need to take them both with me.

Haven't been able to catch up too much, but hope you are all well. I'm gonna go and order a doppler then lounge on the couch so probs wont be about till tomorrow.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 03/11/2008 09:13

Hey Glaskham - good to have you back! You must still feel pretty drained so stick with your plan of taking things easy. Which Doppler are you going for? I think I'm going to get one too

Diege - glad you're not feeling too bad this morning. Long may it continue!

Heebee - it is soo nerve wracking I know but I have everything crossed for you and Diege. Chances are everything is fine. Just remember baby will be v small still at this stage. I had my early scan at 8 weeks and it's on my profile if you want to have a look.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 03/11/2008 09:18

hi ses- dont feel too bad, just want lots off cuddles and attention!!

i'm going to get the one Tink recommended.... here

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 03/11/2008 09:23

right i am off. tata, have a nice day you lot!!

kayzisexpecting · 03/11/2008 10:01

Morning,

Tink, you really have scared me. I haven't pack my bag yet and I only have just under 6 weeks to go. Must get on to it.

Glad you are home now Glask, make sure you put your feet up as much as possible.

Diege, you put your feet up too. Try not to do to much!

Nat, I know what you mean about furniture and baby stuff coming. If I know something is meant to be coming I am dreadful, looking out the window every few minutes.

Ses, have fun at work. Enjoy telling people too. Just one more thing, 4th vs 19th. So we aren't that bad yet.

Wilson, I love Cole and Bailey but not together. Picking names can be so hard.

We're going looking for carpets this morning. Hopefully we'll find a nice one without too much moaning from MIL. Then seeing my consultant this afternoon. Not too worried about that. Might ask him if he knows why I am so thirsty all the time.

tinkisbigandinneedofzzzzzzzzz · 03/11/2008 10:26

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/11/2008 12:32

Heebee, good luck tomorrow, be sure to tell us all how it went won't you?!

Diege, I have rang the shop we've ordered the buggy from, it is all in stock except the changing bag, but they have been waiting for the stock to come in since I ordered it, so I asked if they have different ones in stock in the shop, she said yes, so I said when we come to pick it all up I'll choose a different bag (wanted an OiOi hobo one, but that matched the buggy colour wise, she says they have one with a khaki handle so will have to wait and see!) So we are going to pick it all up on Saturday Am all excited! Also rang MC to chase up furniture, it goes through all the options and then hangs up on you have had a better nose at my account though and it says expected delivery 12-15th Nov, so perhaps a little longer to wait anyway. Am getting a bit frustrated with it, I know they are going to ring the day before they are expecting to deliver it, but it is going to be a nightmare getting it in, it's all made up in the factory so it is going to be tough going getting it up the stairs alone, and the room is full of baby things that need emptying out so they can put the furniture where it should be..... think we'll need at least a months notice!! Hope it goes OK picking your things up from work.

Glask hoorah for being allowed home, just make sure you do take it easy, DS missing nursery isn't the end of the world, so don't worry about that at all. Hope you are feeling better?

Kay good luck with the MIL carpet

Tink, if it is any help, I actually find if I push through and not have a kip in the afternoon I feel better for it. I am not a great sleeper during the day anyway, but I always feel 10 times worse waking up for the second time in a day.
