Im going to give myself away to anyone in RL reading this pretty soon. Not that it matter I suppose!

Until I post an embarrassing question about piles or something!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 15:29

Lol

Hair is good thanks! A bit of pampering is always good!

Just off to the vets - one of the dogs has a tick on her leg

Playingthe9monthwait · 31/10/2008 16:11

Afternoon all,

I think we should do a Surrey meet up too, being a Hampshire girl and all, its not hard just to pop up the road. GYo and Gruf are particularly close to me (Farnham and Ash if I remember righty) but anywhere is Surrey is not exactly far. TBH if I do go shopping I tend to go up to Guildford rather than down to Portsmouth anyhow.

Heebeejeebee · 31/10/2008 16:12

Right, well I will drag entice DH to Reigate one day then. He quite enjoyed Guildford (he enjoyed the drive there, I enjoyed the shops. I even bought him a hotddog, what more did he want?

Ses - my dad once got rid of a tick on my dog using nail varnish remover, I do believe. The vets is probably the way to do though, because I think if you don't get the whole thing out you're stuck..

Quick question all. We're off to a spa tomorrow to celebrate my sil's 40th. She booked the treatments and I'm going to have a facial. Now, here's my dilemma. Do i call the spa in advance and tell them I'm pregnant or can I tell the therapist when I'm in the treatment room? What I don't want to happen is me call to tell them in advance and then when I arrive, the receptionists shouts "Ah, yes, you're the pregnant woman" in front of my sil and niece...

GruffaloSoldier · 31/10/2008 16:14

Ahh yes Playing - I heart Guildford

Im up from my nap! PIL still havent arrived so I got away with it! DH made me a nice lunch too. I love having him home at half term

tinkisbigandinneedofzzzzzzzzz · 31/10/2008 16:14

hi ladies

feeling better after abit of a nap dd kept prodding me

looks like new bottle guidelines say that you should make up feeds as you go along i.e one @ a time that could be fun it is to do with bacteria.
i am going to tidy up now and put on oven for dds tea.
thank god it is fri

GYo · 31/10/2008 16:23

Guildford would be a great place to meet.

Am slightly amused about all sititng there calling each other our MN names. Would be hard to consider any of us to have names other than Playing, Gruff, Heebee etc.

-thats assuming that those arent your real names

Re the spa Heebee, am sure you are ok to tell them on the day. When I went for facial at 11wks there was a form to fill in then which I was able to indicate I was pregnant. They didnt call it out.
I had also rung before as I was having a lavender facial so had to check it was ok, which it was....

Heebeejeebee · 31/10/2008 16:29

Guildford would be great - I could hop on a train no problem.

I agree re names - I can just imagine tell DH that I'm meeting GYI, Gruff, Playing. (It may come as something of a surpise, but I can confirm my name isn't heebeejeebee..)

Thanks for advice re spa! I'd rather do it that way!

Well ladies I'm nicking off work early to see what damage delights await for me at home following the arrival of my niece and nephew!

Have lovely weekends all!

GYo · 31/10/2008 16:35

You too!

LOL at you really being Heebee!

GruffaloSoldier · 31/10/2008 16:39

Gruffalo is actually my name, my Mum was way ahead with the times I added the soldier bit myself though

Playingthe9monthwait · 31/10/2008 16:39

Yep, another vote for Guildford, nice and easy can drive or just hop on the train which is direct.

OO no, not sure about RL names! Spose we must all have them. The few people on here that I am friends with on fb I keep forgetting who they are because I am too used to MN names (apart from Nat and Kay, cos thats obvious)

GYo · 31/10/2008 16:40

...

GYo · 31/10/2008 16:41

Maybe we should stick to our pseudonyms!

GruffaloSoldier · 31/10/2008 16:46

Guildford def would be great. Seriously, I dont really mind using real names or pseudonyms.

GYo · 31/10/2008 16:47

Im thrilled today- we've finally finished our latest installment of decorating - had new floor put down today and now we are having some carpet next week but its means no more painting for now!

NExt painting will be nursery painting - but not til Jan or Feb

Playingthe9monthwait · 31/10/2008 16:58

Right, have a lovely weekend ladies, I am off to get this party sorted. Speak to you all next week.

GruffaloSoldier · 31/10/2008 17:02

That sounds very exciting Gyo!

GYo · 31/10/2008 17:12

it is. We've been doing this room at home for longer than I've been pregnant- feels like a lonnnnngg time now

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 31/10/2008 17:38

Right girls, i hope some of you are around....

I've been throwing up since i last posted every 10mins or so... and not eaten or drank anything since.

The last time i was sick i was sick a lot of fresh blood, so much the toilet water turned pink...

This is what started the spiral overnight that led to me being admitted a few weeks ago. Problem is, I physically cannot go into hospital right now... DH is working and cannot do a thing to help until the shop is shut at 8pm... One sister cannot get here, and the other is working, my parents are in scotland....

What should i do... i dont wanna phone a midwife or the unit as i'm scared they'll say to come in when i can't...

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 17:44

Oh Glaskham, poor you

Would you be able to hang on until 8pm or have you a neighbour / friend that could step in?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 31/10/2008 17:46

i dont know anyone who live local.... and not really got any friends i could turn to. DH wont even be home until 9pm...

just phoned the GP's for advise and they said there's nothing they can do as they are closed now, but she'd expect i'd have to be admitted again!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 17:51

Any chanve of DH being able to leave work / close the shop early if he told them you'd been hospitalised and the dc would be on their own? Wish I could do something practical for you. Are you able to take v small sips of water?

Btw, turns out the tick isn't a tick at all but a small cyst! (Can't believe I don't know the difference!) They said as long as it doesn't irritate her or get any bigger to just leave it.

Also, many of my RL friends do actually call me Ses!! (How I came up with my MN nickname!)

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 31/10/2008 17:56

DH wouldn't be able to do anything at all tonight... and my sister has just said she's got no money to be able to get here.

I wouldn't be able to cope the 30min bus ride to her to take them there either!!

water doesn't stay down longer than a couple of mins....

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 18:00

Well if one of my staff in one of my shops had to go in this situation, I'd let them. Must be v difficult though and frustrating.
Definitely don't think you should do a 30 min bus ride.

Can you think of any other options or is that a stupid question??

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 31/10/2008 18:02

i've tried everyting i can think of, the only other option is to phone the ward and see if i can go straight there at all, and take the kids with me until DH can get there....
