Morning all- just popping on quick...

I think my last post was saying my sickness was easing... well the past 3 days have been hell again!! throwing up all my meals, throwing up water, generally not very well- also got a cold, sore throat, migrane and a lump on my tongue where i bit it yesterday!! i'm not a very well mummy at all!!

Have my 16wk check on tuesday, but DH thinks if i dont improve over the weekend maybe i should see if the GP will admit me again as i'm still losing a lot of weight!!

Why was i so stupid to think i'd have it easy!!!!????

Diege · 31/10/2008 11:09

Hi! Glask that sounds nightmarish - I feel silly for whingeing when I read how badly you've got it! Hope you can avoid hospital again.
Just wanted to say hello - not feeling great at all, and will probably be in/on bed for most of day. Luckily dh off with dds, so can take it easy until trick or treat!
Love to all x

GYo · 31/10/2008 11:18

Hi Glask- sorry to hear you are still poorly. You've really had a bad run of it! . Fingers crossed it will get better soon.

Hi Diege
Sorry to hear you are poorly again. Glad you have DH there to take care of kids and you. Rest up and relax.

Take care!

Playingthe9monthwait · 31/10/2008 11:29

Morning all,

Deige and Glask - sorry to hear you are both suffering

Kay - I would have given up my seat for you!

Nat - you and GOFing, but with your phone , maybe a step too far

Not really caught up properly, is everyone ok?

Any plans for Halloween?

I'm having a little party which should be nice. Be even better if I hadn't been ill all week with this dreadful cold flu thing, but its getting better so I am starting to feel more up for it. Quite looking forward to it now though, fire up the bbq (got some lovely sausages from the farm shop) and the brazier, lots of nibbles and drinks and a few good friends round. Well why not, just a bit of an excuse for a party. Just hoping it stays dry, as the weather forecast has changed again and its saying showers now.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 31/10/2008 11:42

Glask, sorry you are so poorly I know it's not exactly ideal to be in hospital, but if that is the best place for you.... hope you pick back up soon enough.

Ses what a coincidence! But how lovely of them?! DS1 and 2 both love THC as well, well, DS2 loves poking his fingers through the holes! And I remember loving it as a kid, t'is a very good book to have in any collection

Tink, sorry you're sleeping so badly, it is deffo the worst part of later pregnancy. Can't help with the bottles I'm afraid. Hope others can give you some sound advice.

Playing, you're party sounds fun And as for my gorgeous sexy new phone - it vibrates (Disclaimer: I am obviously not shagging my phone, two reasons, firstly, there is no way I am going to make the contractions even worse, and secondly, it'd get all slimy and sticky, it might make it poorly )

GYo · 31/10/2008 11:49

PMSL Nat about the vibrate funciton. I was going to post something related to that but held off

I have a man fitting a new floor downstairs. he is rather attractive. Quite distracting!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 31/10/2008 11:52

LOL unpark that smutty mind GYo, there are no car parks round these 'ere parts.... especially not when there is an attractive man trying to budge us off the wagon sofa

Playingthe9monthwait · 31/10/2008 11:58

Nat -

yeah should be a laugh tonight, if I remember to take any pics I'll post them on fb, think a few people are coming in fancy dress, so will have to get the camrea out!

tinkisbigandinneedofzzzzzzzzz · 31/10/2008 12:08

god i am so tired i cant keep my eyes open
think i will be napping on sofa after lunch again

sorry that u r so unwell glas and diege

GYo · 31/10/2008 12:25

Smutty mind unparked

enjoy your party Playing

Sorry your so tired Tink- must be hard going wiht DD. Hope you get a nap

kayzisexpecting · 31/10/2008 12:32

Sorry you are still feeling unwell Glask and Diege.

DS is being really dribbly today. I feel covered in slime. I can't see any teeth coming through so maybe he is just getting into the halloween sprirt.

We're meant to be going out tonight but I don't know if I'll still be awake.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 31/10/2008 12:50

wuhoo!! after i logged off i have since eaten half an orange and managed to keep it down for over 30mins!!! thats some good going for me the last few days!!

Diege- dont feel bad whinging... after all who better to sympathise with you than me?? I wish DH was off as i'd most likely be spending today with my head in my sick bucket... instead i'm seeing to the kids and have spent the morning running up and down the stairs every 10mins to be sick!! Lurvley!!

I worked out that i've now been throwing up on a daily basis for 12 weeks!! and am still over a stone less than my pre-pregnancy weight!! lets just hope it wears off before i get to labour!!

As Dh is working a late he wont be home until 9pm, the kids should be fast asleep by then, but we've got a halloween banner in our front window and are hoping i'm well enough to carve a pumpkin this afternoon. Then i think it will be put outside the front door this evening. Have got a massive bucket of sweets for the DC's to give out to trick or treaters... Mummy isn't leaving the house so DC's are allowed a couple of sweets at home!!

Heebeejeebee · 31/10/2008 13:11

Hi all

Glask/Diege - I feel for you. It sounds horrendous. I just feel sea-sick IYSWIM so can at least function semi-normally!

GYo - I live in Epsom, so as long as I can get to Clapham Junction, I can pick up a Southern train, but I got the bus to the jubilee line entrance and they had closed Waterloo off from there, so had to walk round the front!!

I have my brother, sil plus their kids (2 and 7) coming today so have a halloween banner up, a pumpkin and some apples for bobbing. Got a halloween cake from Abel & Cole (thanks Glask!) which will double as a 40th birthday cake for SIL. Slight snag is I haven't told them I'm pregnant, but am planning on telling them I can't drink on Clomid. Last weekend I got through having some friends round for dinner by drinking tonic water and de-alcoholised wine, but I don't think I could keep that up for a weekend!!

GYo · 31/10/2008 13:20

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 13:23

What's the wierdest place you've ever MNed from??! I'm currently sitting in hairdressers waiting for my highlights to take!

Glaskham - hope that 12 weeks doesn't extend much longer and that you manage to get away from the sick bucket.

Halloween celebrations all sound great. I never normally do much but I'll stock up on sweets for tonight!

Diege - hope you're resting and feeling a bit better.

Kay - hmmm...maybe those gooner Walls should go then

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 13:28

I was born at that hospital too GYo!!

New house is just north of Redhill and just South of Coulsdon. We should definitely arrange a meet up at some point!

GYo · 31/10/2008 13:45

cool coincidence.

Did you spend early years in that area?

GruffaloSoldier · 31/10/2008 14:06

Hey all

Just a quick hello as waiting for PIL to arrive.

I am so exhausted today, the dinner was really good actually (thanks for asking NJ ) and we didnt get home to bed until 2am so after getting up at 8am I am feeling pretty horrific! Got a really late babysit later on aswell so not going to be getting any sleep any time soon.

PIL have picked up our bargain cot and drpping around today as they are off to Gatwick so having a little detour. We have not made space for cot yet though

DH is just doing a quick tidy round and I have gone on strike as Im too tired to do anything.

I am def up for surrey mothers to be meeting For those of you who dont know Im on Hants/surrey border. Work in surrey etc...

Just wondering whether I could sneakoff for a quick nap before they arrive - going to give it a go!

see you later

GYo · 31/10/2008 14:28

Hey Gruff
exciting about cot!

Hope you get a rest- must be exhausted!

Bye for now

Heebeejeebee · 31/10/2008 14:29

Wow! I am pretty new to the area (moved out of Central London 18 months ago) but my brother bought me a day at the murray school of cookery in Farhnam so we're off there in December!

Glad to hear such upstanding members of the mumsnet community came out of Epsom General! I live about 10 mins walk from there so am definitely going there! For the m/c I got transferred to St Helier, which was ok but didn't quite have the same feel..

Ses - that's a nice neck of the woods too! I've got a friend in Banstead and a friend in Kingswood. Incidentally, is Reigate nice? I quite fancy going there one Saturday for a mooch, but DH keeps saying "what's there to see"?

We should definitly have a meet up at some point!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 14:35

We lived in Chessington until I was 2 and then moved to Redhill where I lived until a month ago! (except 10 months in Godalming and 3 yrs at uni in Portsmouth!)

Gruff - hope you manage a rest.

GYo · 31/10/2008 14:58

Reigate is lovely. Went to college there!

There are things to see I think.. My sister takes kids to a new playground there but not sure where.

Know St Helier well too. Worked there for a short time as it was close to my original home town.

Very much a surrey girl me- as most of friends would mock when i was at Uni.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 31/10/2008 15:03

I think the new playground is in the recently refurbished Priory Park in the town centre. I think Reigate's a bit like a mini Guildford in terms of shops and then there's the park, some nice restaurants and the castle grounds. Just a shame the High St is a main route up to the M25!

GYo · 31/10/2008 15:06

I remember doing a charity day parade through Reigate when i was 16 in a VERY short shirt and tight blouse (was vicars and tarts!)

There are some nice restuarants too arent there?

How is the hair Ses?
