hmmmm - pass the nurofen !! Very naughty night last night - a whole 4 glasses of wine and I'm all over the place

I'm hoping for an early scan next time - GP I spoke to last week suggested it without prompting, so I have her name and will go and see her and only her !

Heebychick · 21/11/2008 09:10

Good morning,

Good to see you back sparky sorry you're feeling rough hun. I hate having colds etc when pg as you can't take anything and have to suffer longer! thanks for the advice re Dr, i think i will be as convincing as possible when i go later.

jools tut tut again for your night - but i actually think it's great! and probably just what you needed.

I'm doing ok, i feel really queasy all day long which is a challenge with a toddler to look after or work to go to (don't know which is worse!) i am looking forward to seeing the Dr this afternoon and having the 'official' conversation (eek) she is a lovely dr and has been there with me through all the hassles over the past few months so i am sure she will be supportive, i hope.

I have booked a session of Reiki with my friend, i wanted reflexology and she said either would be great for getting things back on track and relaxed, but she couldn't fit a session of reflex in so i went for the reiki, i will let you know how it goes. i agree with sparky and it would be ideal for you jools x

SparkyMalarky · 21/11/2008 09:33

jools - a hangover is totally required Full fat coke and a bacon buttie for you me thinks

heebs - the sickness with a toddler was undoubtedly worse for me. At least at work I could surf mumsnet and pretend to be working whilst sipping water slowly. (Now of course am stuffing a danish pastry down my face and a pint of chocolate milk (the bump needs the calcium don't you know )) No such rest with a small child (although thank heavens for CBeebies!!) Good luck at the docs and let me know how the reiki goes (have tried that too - quite enjoyed it - you see I really am a bit of a hippy !!)

{Jools - am about to have a slight PG whinge - feel free to tell me to naff off, or look away.) Had forgotten how at this stage (15 weeks) you don't really look PG - just fat. I'm a curvy size 16 anyway (with a size 18 bum if I'm honest) so now I just look HUGE. Maternity tops are too big, normal tops are too tight. Bugger.

Jools - you can come back now

nelix2000 · 21/11/2008 09:43

hello everyone! jools lol hows your head?...I have been craving champagne since I got pregnant....I reeeeeeaally want not a glass, but a bottle!!! Tea will have to suffice!

Sparky I am with you on the clothes! I am a size 14 but am finding my usual clothes not to great. Am in maternity jeans as others were digging in. maternity tops are huge!!! I cant beleive I outgrew them last time

Oh heeby hope you feel better soon its awful feeling sick! I have just started to feel better!

So there's hope yet ..... i guess i only have until Christmas then really to feel this horrid! I remember it going last time around 10 weeks so i hope it's the same this time!

Have just walked to mums and back to tire out DD and although they live within spitting distance i am knackered! Have put DD to bed now for her nap so will get some work done then it's sofa and cuppa time!

Re feeling huge, i feel bloated and chunky already, i didnt work that hard to lose it last time so i still have the squidgy belly - which of course is now worse because everything that might of been tight has relaxed! lovely. i loved the 18-30 week stage, felt great and looked neat with a bump, then of course it all goes downhill and you feel like a whale! bliss huh.

jools i too feel bad whinging about pg, i hope you can cover your ears and think of it as a mental note for the next few months for you hopefully!

xx

Jools1 · 24/11/2008 15:36

hello ladies - hope you all had good weekends I'm actually having my best day mood-wise since the MC. Apart from feeling pretty fat from vegetating on the sofa and eating nothing but chocolate for nearly 2 weeks, and in agony from overdo-ing it at the gym this weekend, I'm almost normal in fact Could this really be the end of the hormonal nightmare ??

I am also wondering if my cycle has kicked in again ? Had a final wierdish bleed over the weekend but now have EWCM and am feeling quite - ahem - "loving" so perhaps it is OV time already ?? This would be CD19 if counting from MC and I normally OV on CD 16. Oh well, it will be good practice anyway - DP will be pounced on tonight and I'll be trying my hardest to get a BFP for Christmas

I love hearing about your pregnancies - niggles and all - so please don't stop

Jools wanders off to swig more Waitrose pink grapefruit juice and scoff brazil nuts (apparently helps implantation) ....

SparkyMalarky · 25/11/2008 14:43

Hey hon - good to see you . Remember your cycle could be a bit later than normal after a MC (it sort of needs to kick start itself again I'd imagine) so you could be right on time...

I'm panicking a bit today - don't seem to have a bump, don't seem to be feeling any movement and it's 6 weeks until I get another scan..........

(sorry Jools - the bad news is after a MC you panic ALL the time.....)

nelix2000 · 25/11/2008 16:00

hello everyone!.....jools so glad things are starting to look up for you!

sparky its stillv early to feel movements. I think I make mine up tbh, but as this is number 2 part of me thinks I know better and can feel the odd flutter...but I agree the scans are soooo far apart. My next mw appointment is on 7th dec so fingers crossed time passes quickly....should be able to hear the babys heart by then...I hope.

I have a really sore tailbone!....possible inverted uterus? I have no idea...all I know is I cant go on the excercise bike at the gym, i sometimes cant sit down at all!...its horrid!...

We are starting to stress about money too..the crunch has not really effected us, but DP has a house on the other side of the country and is renting it out...the tenant is waiting on housing benefit, leaving us payin rent here and mortgage there, sucking up 1/4 of income...grrr...anyhoo off to make ds's tea...good to ehar from you!

Jools1 · 03/12/2008 11:32

It has all gone quiet in here

How is everyone ???

We now have three BFP's on the GFJ conception thread, so hopefully a few more people will find their way over here soon

I got my BFN yesterday, so am hoping the hormones will finally calm down - last weekend was just awful - crushing, despairing, black depression Far better now - dieting sensibly, lots of fruit and veg and water and back at the gym with a vengeance

SparkyMalarky · 03/12/2008 18:48

hey - was wondering where everyone was just about to do bathtime with DS but will pop back later.....

nelix2000 · 04/12/2008 12:18

hey everyone, it has gone very very quiet in here all of a sudden! I guess with Christmas etc we are all a bit busy!....We are fine, feeling much less sick now and cant beleive I am approaching 4 months on sunday!....it has flown by! thankgod for ds who distracts me all the time! lol
I hope you get some signs of your cycle settling down soon jools x

helllllooooooo?

JingleJools · 14/12/2008 19:49

Sparky !! You can't just pop your head round the door and disappear again !! (Jools stamps foot !!)

How are things ?

nelix2000 · 16/12/2008 17:15

are we still here?? lol! How are we all? I am getting excited/nervous at impending 20 week scan on 8th jan....eek! I need to know what flavour my baby is!

OP posts:
SparkyMalarky · 18/12/2008 18:45

sorry - popped in and then had 'one of those weeks'. Jools, you can't say that and then disappear fingers crossed for you honey.....you didn't hang about and quite right too!

Nelix - my scan is on the 8th too (2.30) but am sure this one is a boy too. Will be very surprised if it's not...feel destined to live in a house of boys

Annoyingly, we have 2 girls names that I love, and only one boys name that I'm not sure about....still 19 weeks tomorrow so a few more weeks to worry about it!

Am starting to think about the birth now - had a planned section last time as DS was in a rubbish position, but am much more apprehensive about it all this time. Particularly about the recovery...still don't need to worry about it this week!

Think I am starting to feel the bump move around a bit too!! I didn't feel DS until 21 weeks last time, and I'm, well better padded in that area this time (ie still lardy from PG1!) so am thinking that might affect things...

How are you 2? And how is Heeby? Has anyone heard from her?

Sorry have been rubbish - will be back tomorrow (if not sooner) I promise!

JingleJools · 18/12/2008 18:57

Hi Sparky - good to hear from you again I hope you can put birth worries aside and enjoy Christmas its just not the same without kiddies around to get excited

I may have been a little premature in predicting good news On Saturday, I had what I thought were mega ov pains, having had lashings of EWCM for a few days and a BD fest

However, on Sunday I started bleeding - pink mixed with EWCM when wiping I was surprised but hoped I'd ov'ed earlier than I thought and this was maybe an implantation bleed.

However, the bleeding has continued - very very light until today and even today I don't really need a panty liner ... Boobs aren't sore but nips feel odd - quite itchy. I've been having mildly dizzy spells and vague nausea ...

Sooo - I really don't know. I tend to think it is just my body playing tricks and this is a wierd AF, but there is a teeny bit of hope in the back of my mind still, so I may well join a test-a-thon on Xmas Eve if I'm still unsure.

yellowflowers · 24/12/2008 10:57

Hello all - no news from me yet but wanted to say hello (if you remember me from ttc boards) and hope you are all doing well and merry christmas.

xx

SparkyMalarky · 28/12/2008 18:56

hey yellow flowers - happy xmas to you too fingers crossed for a successful 2009 ;)

where is everyone?

nelix2000 · 08/01/2009 14:21

Hello ladies! this thread is soooooooo quiet! Had scan today, baby is well and healthy and average size...........and a girl!!! hope you are all doing well! x

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 08/01/2009 15:27

Hi Nelix I was just thinking about you last night and wondering how things were - fab news on the pink scan

I haven't posted much because I've had a couple of bad weeks - am back on a 2WW I think now - not convinced I have ov'ed, but fingers crossed

Issues with DP not wanting to actively TTC seem to have been resolved, I'm losing weight, becoming a regular fixture at the gym again and generally feeling a lot more positive about life

Hope all is well with Sparky aswell and HAPPY NEW YEAR

SparkyMalarky · 08/01/2009 21:24

Hellooooo was thinking everyone had left happy new year all!!

had my scan today too and all fine - all normal size, everything in the right place and looks healthy and it's a girl too !!! Must have been something in the August sunshine

Jools - how you doing honey? sounds like you're doing ok - and doing lots of things which are good for you

It took my 2 cycles to conceive after my mc in June - and I think that 3 or more is pretty normal...and in the meantime, looking after yourself is the best think for it (and lashing of GFJ obviously!!)

do we know what happened to Heeby?

nelix2000 · 09/01/2009 10:36

Hello ladies!Ooooooh congrats Sparky! yes there must have been something in the water!

Jools fabulous to hear from you!....you sound like you are doing really well! we are househunting just now and found one we like, now its just seeing if we can get a mortgage in the current climate so stress!

Have not heard from heeby in a long while I hope she is ok!

OP posts:
SparkyMalarky · 09/01/2009 11:38
