Wow only a few weeks to go for smiley and pezz i am soooo excited to hear all about your births and to see some lovely pics of the new arrivals!

nelix thank you so much re the clothes, yes happy to send postage (and some chocs!) yes do Cat me although i'm not sure if i'm registered for this? i haven't ever used it, try and it and if not i'll send you my email account. It sounds like Phoebe is gearing up for a long nite sleep soon then if she's not feeding till 8am, wow a few weeks time you'll have your nights back! When will you start to put her in her room in the eve? We have decided to keep Gracie down here until she sleeps through or longer in the eve, she goes off ok and it's quite good for her to kip in noise i think!

Gracie was weighed today and she's gained 3 oz so not too bad at all, she's still on the 91st centile so hopefully she'll keep going in the right direction now.

Must go and pick DD1 up now from nursery, chat soon, take carex

nelix2000 · 11/08/2009 13:09

heeby I tried to cat you..no luck so if you send me your email that would be great! We are going to start putting her upstairs for naps and to sleep after we return from a wee break, so monday we will be starting it, she will be 11 weeks by then. Sounds like Gracie is doing good!!at her last weight thing Phoebe was on the 98th for weight and 99th for height lol!!!she is adorably huge!she is still sleeping..I guess a late breakfast means a alte lunch....I am goign to waker her to eat tho as it is 1pm and I don;t want her whole schedule thrown out! If she could sleep on her tummy at night I have no doubt she would sleep through!!

Oh all this baby talk is making me so impatient for mine to come along. Still 5 weeks though. I am officially finishing work on Thurs - horray. Am going through the panic of wondering whether baby is going to be OK when it comes out but i guess this is normal. Can't believe i will be lucky enough to have 3 children which is why i am beginning to panic and think things may go wrong. I may go shopping tommorrow for all those loely big sanitary towels etc and start to get things ready to pack bag just in case. Luckily weather seems to have turned for the worse but for the best for me. I am not so swollen 2 trips to loo last night, mind you will have to get used to sleepness nights again. I n the paper it said women lose a months sleep when caring for a newborn over all. I can well imagine it annd am not looking foward to the night feeds at all. Mind you as long as he comes out Ok and healthy o will put up with them x

Pezzina · 12/08/2009 08:54

Hi everyone!

Spats Great news that you finish work on Thursday - I bet you can't wait.

I have certainly felt heaps better since maternity leave started. So much more relaxed and able to concentrate the on imminent arrival of our baby.

Smiley hoorah for Ikea! We've still got to assemble the furniture in the nursery - going to be doing it this weekend - can't wait! Sounds like your body is definitely getting ready for the birth. Exciting times!

How's everyone else?

nelix2000 · 12/08/2009 09:31

What is it with pregnant women and Ikea? I went 4 times when I was pregnant!!!.....8 months pregnant too! was crazy!!must be that nesting urge actually I want to go back and may well do so over the weekend!

no sign of an early birth just yet although DH predicted the 13th ages ago so still time for that date, I guested the 20th and my DS the 24th so lets see who gets closest.
I get to see my midwife tomorrow she is coming around the house at 2 to do my notes and discuss birthing options, she is very much into home births but I'm not so sure I still like the idea of a water birth and couldn't really do that here, esp with just moving back in.
My bump seems to have dropped quite a bit as I can see a definate gap between my boobs and my belly, but I don't think she has engaged yet as I can still cross my legs, oh this waiting is horrible I wish I new the date she would be here so that I could plan it all better, but I can't wait to meet her its all getting so exciting now that it could be any day ...good luck Pezz and Spats you must be both feeling just as we are
Nelix Katie will stay in our room till after xmas as we have family staying over the Christmas period we will then make the room into a nursey in the New Year and cope with visitors when they happen, its a shame I would love to decorate it now but I guess I can wait a couple more months to do it

Heebychick · 12/08/2009 20:05

Hi all,

nelix a little holiday sounds lovely! Lucky you, where are you off to? We are thinking about our summer hols for next year! i want something to look forward to and need to have a focus of when all will be on track with babies etc. my email is [email protected] thanks ever so.
I agree re tummy sleeping, this morning Gracie woke at 5.30am after only 2 oz at 3am but she wasn't really grizzling so i popped her on her tummy with a dummy and she went off right away until 7am, i of course didn't as i was too worried about leaving her on her tummy! doh. Anyhow it was better than feeding her, plus if she was hungry i'm sure she would of created and not gone off again so i didn't worry that it was that.

Tonight she is in a bit of a state, she has been really upset all afternoon, not really feeding and quite unhappy, she has just had the most awful nappy (sorry) and is calmer now so maybe a tummy bug? Phoebe has a bad bum too so they might have shared a bug or something. So i think we're in for a long nite.

It's so exciting that the new bubs are going to be here soon ..... pezz so lovely that you are feeling relaxed and ready for birth!
spats i know what you mean the worrying, but try not to honey, you are lucky and you must enjoy the wonder that 3 babies brings, well done you for such a fab family.

smiley how are you settling in? what will you do re birth do you think?

WanabeMum · 13/08/2009 12:25

hey everyone, long time no speak!

I'm so excited as i finish work a week today and can't wait! We've been decorating the nursery this week and are hoping to put the cot together tonight so it is taking shape.

34 weeks monday! Can't believe how fast it's going! So excited about my little bub arriving now though, can't wait for it all to get going. I am starting to get the odd moment of anxiety about the birth though, natural obviously especially as it's my first! But still be quite happy to get it over with so I can meet my little one!

pezz and spats it's getting very close now! how exciting. And yes I agree about the whole pregnancy and ikea thing, i love ikea!!

Glad all is well with the new arrivals ladies, here's hoping for some more very soon!!

TTFN xxxxx

spats · 13/08/2009 16:57

I officially finish work in 36 mins i can't wait to just veg around at home and meet up with friends. Smiley isn't it still a bit early yet for birth? your'e due 5th sept aren't you or were you early before? mine are always after 40 weeks so thinking i have plenty of time, though i guess this one could surprise me, but mum was late with all 3 of us so i think its a genetic thing - we are all lazy babies. Warm and snug in there!!! I dreamt about the baby last night. He was lying face down on me and i could just see his head under a blanket - so cute. xx

C1NDY · 14/08/2009 11:39

Spats Enjoy the maternity leave... I will look at yours and Pezz post for the good news... can't believe how the time has gone for both of you.

smileycat · 14/08/2009 21:03

Spats yes my ds was 4wks early so I'm on countdown now seeing as its all I have to go by. 3wks today I've made it to 37wks which means if all is well I can have her in the midwife led unit and have a water birth. My midwife came round for an appointment yesterday and then took us to see the birthing unit so that we know where to go if it all happens in the middle of the night, I've finally got around to packing my hospital bag so its all just a waiting game now from here on in.
Hope all is well with everyone else

Heebychick · 15/08/2009 11:16

It's very exciting to hear about the impending births!! smiley what will you do with your ds?

I feel really good today, gracie is really settling into her routine now so i can plan my days a bit and predict her needs quite well now. Plus my very clever dd1 has started using the potty properly today! 3 wee's down and no accidents so far so all good here!

Loving family life xx

smileycat · 15/08/2009 18:24

Heeby ds is still at his grandads in the IOM on holiday until Wednesday next week so if it all happens between now and then we wont have to worry about what to do with him, after that my dh's brother lives 10 mins away and is on standby if it happens in the middle of the night. When we went to see the midwife led unit we also noted that they don't have a waiting room so theres on way he will be able to be there for the birth, dh will have to go and get him soon as the baby is born and bring him in to see her. I am hoping that if all goes well I can be out within a couple of hours, the midwife said that it takes about 3 hrs to do the paperwork and check the baby over and then we can both go if we have had a straight forward birth.......that would be lovely

nelix2000 · 16/08/2009 16:59

Hi all just a quickie as just home! glad all are doing well!!
heeby I have emaild you!...I got an automatic response telling me you were on maternity leave

Still here 36 weeks today. Midwife measured me and instead of 2 cm below am now 1 cm above so on for a big baby!! last 2 were 8 lb9 and 9 lb 8!! FInally brought buggy and car seat yesterday so all ok in case of early labour. Had period type pains in night and baby wrigglking like mad, thought labour was coming but think it may be bowel problems. Anyone else suffering with this. Feel like i need to go but not able to - sorry tmi read somewhere body tries to clear everything out so sometimes get loose bowels?? DH taken 2DS out for afternoon so have done a spot of reading in the garden in the gloroious sunshine. really tired today as was awake at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep for 3 hrs!! started reading book in end for 1hr. Was suddently worrying about if baby would be OK being born and would it be healthy, not what you need when trying to sleep. Also feeling like bursting into tears. last month blues i think. Wanted to do lots today but not able to as too tired. Hopefully willl be better tom after sleep. Have found have to do stuff when got energy. Just need to find energy to make boys beds and then will slumpp in front of telly and await their return. Any early labour news yet?? x

nelix2000 · 18/08/2009 17:17

Hiya spats I had that the day I went into labour both times. I was not off the toilet lol but was secretly glad as it meant I had nothing left to "push" out that end when in labour! Sounds like your little one is getting ready!!! hoorah more babies!!!
Your baby would be fine even if born now but heres hoping he/she stays in there until full term! they are wee buggers!!....wow you do have big babies!!!!

OP posts:
smileycat · 18/08/2009 18:45

I'm still here too, Spats I've also had periody type cramps for the last wk usually for a couple of hours in the evenings I guess its just our bodies getting ready for the real thing, I had loose toilets yesterday and thought that this was it my body was getting ready, but back to normal today so just a one off I think. 17 days left for me till I reach 40wks, my house is finally in a state that I am happy to have my baby now and bring her home so just waiting for her to make an appearance any time now

spats · 19/08/2009 19:12

Glad loose bowels are the norm!! My house keeps getting in a ready state and then 2 DS mess it up again!! Finally managed to close buggy having read instructions 10 times so feel i have acheived something today. Need DH to clear out spare room and put up chest of drawers so can get some order in baby room. Not that he will be in it for a while but will just be a room to store clothes etc At moment is junk room. Also got to tidy DS#2 room which you can't get in. Nesting is well under way but wish the energy was there. Am trying to acg=hieve 1 goal per day and then will be happy. My goal today was to get school shoes. In clarks for 1 hour!! Got DS#2 first pair of shoes, they are so diddy - ahh cant believe he is starting school. I am going to be crying so much when he goes but at least can blame on hormones!! Midwife said baby is back to back and to lean forward and sit upright but its not very comfortable. More comfortable to slouch around onj the sofa but i have neem trying. Had backache for last 2 days and she said in labour get bad backache if he is still back to back so will make huge effort to len foward more. Anyway must get DS#2 into bed. DS#1 has gone to watch car racing with DH. Its much easier getting 1 into bed than 2 - omg how on earth will we cope with 3 , must be mad!! x

smileycat · 19/08/2009 19:57

spats my ds was back to back when he was born and all my labour pains were in my back so I would def recommend doing the excerises the midwife gives you to turn him around. I ended up having to have an epidural even though I didn't want one as the pains were so bad, this one at the moment seems to be playing ball, w'll see once labour starts which way she decides to lay
Bought a cot today so feeling so much happier about where the baby will sleep, havn't set it up yet will do that tomorrow and put it in our room till after xmas when hopefully she will be ready to move into her own room
Hope all is well with everyone else today

C1NDY · 21/08/2009 11:30

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Just wanted to let you know that I have my early scan booked for Monday so am getting a little jittery about it all. What if they can't find anything there and its all in my head. Well, I am 6 weeks and 2 whole days Am getting a little nausea but not too much but I am not worrying my body will do what it needs to keep this bean - I am sure... I will let you all know the news on Monday.

Take care for now.
Cindy

smileycat · 22/08/2009 08:30

Good luck for Monday Cindy I'm sure everything will be ok this time around, its natural to worry and seeing your bean wriggling around on the monitor on Monday will hopefully put your mind at rest
Had my midwife appointment yesterday and she said that baby is well down into my pelvis now and she could even feel her shoulders. I woke up at 6 this morning unable to get back to sleep and feeling quite uncomfortable down below. I have had mild periody type pains all morning but without any patern to them...... will keep you all posted if they turn into something more, if it may just be my body adjusting to the new position of the baby.
I'm more than ready for her to come out now. My ds came back from his grandads yesterday, hes been gone for 2 wks and I told the midwife the baby had been hanging on till her brother arrived home...it would be funny if she did arrive today after that

spats · 22/08/2009 16:25

Smiley that sounds promising. I have been getting backache i expect due to baby being back to back so trying to lean foward but its just not comfy. 3 1/2 weeks to go. I n one way want the baby out, but thinking it is alot easier being inside me!! ONce its out it is a matter of juggling 3 childrens needs not 2!!! Have been trying to sort baby room out today . DH finally put up chest of drawers begrudgingly!! so have managed to store all cltohes and blankets which were piling up.
Good luck with scan Cindy, hoping it all works out for you, sure it will x

C1NDY · 24/08/2009 12:32

Hi All,

Thank you for your well wishes.

The bean was a live and heart was beating well! it was in the right position... so am little overwhelmed by it all but extremely happy! One hurdle jumped through now roll on week 12 for the next scan. The only problem is I dont feel that nauseaus and my boobs are a little tender only... but they said every pregancy is different so I am going to try and relax!!

For all those who are expecting soon.. Smiley, SmileyCat will be thinking of you and all that I have missed. Sorry only been scanning post as I found staying a way for a while helped me not to think about it too much.

Okay, will report back if I have any further new... I guess my scan will be at week 12.

Can I ask a question as I am 40 it looks like I may have to have a CV or Anti... does anyone have any thoughts they can share with me? or just general advice??

Speak to you all soon
Love
Cindy
