spats hows your ds doing?? I think we always worry more than them lol , it comes in the job description

heeby maybe its just I cannot express this time! lol she does have both sides tho, so I cannot express of the other side as both are pretty empty by the time she is done she had her injections the other day and since then has started to pushg her 10 oclock feed to 12am now....which is lovelly for me! I get to go to bed and 9pm and DP gets up to make her a bottle!! we decided to keep that the bottle feed as ultimatley I would like to do morning and bedtime feeds as long as possoble. She has grown an astonising 10 cms in 8 weeks....4 inches! she is a long baby just like her brother!

Enjoy them while they are tiny and I look forward to seeing all the pictures of them!

Spats sorry to hear about your DS, hope his on the mend.

Not sure with the other thread but no one is there anymore... perhaps hols or just had enough - may be. I just didn't want to start all over again, speaking to people... well typing to people about me and how far I am getting on etc... does that make sense? I know you all, so am happy to pop in every now and again to let you all know how i am getting on. Not sure where Iggy and Jools have gone.

Okay, got to go... work whip being cracked.

All the best
Cindy

cindy stick with us honey, with any luck you'll be an official member soon anyway! i know what you mean about sticking with those you know, it's like our own little secret group, i love it!

nelix i agree with you re feeds, we are going to leave it a couple of weeks then we shall introduce a bottle so that DH can join in, last time i gave DD1 a BF last thing at night after a bath until she was 7 months and loved it, our little 121 time. Gracie is doing 4 hourly and in the middle of the night she tends to have a tiny amount (not even one side) so maybe she'll drop this first when the time comes. DD dropped her 11pm feed at 3 weeks and went 7pm to 3am then on to 7am from there until 12 weeks when she did 12 hours, so mayb e we'll be just as lucky!!!

xx

nelix2000 · 01/08/2009 09:14

heeby you are lucky!!! Phoebe is going 6pm-6am with a bottle feed at 12pm now! well she did last night lol I hope it lasts!!!Will see if she holds off until 12pm today for her next feed...oh happy days!

I feel so good for getting my 1st full nights sleep in almost a year!(wih pregnancy and bladder etc)AND DS had his first nappy free night last night!....he has had dry nappies for almost 2 weeks. He came into our room at 2am, I took him back to his room and put him on the potty, big old wee, then to bed! oh....lol so it wasn't a full nights sleep after all as I had to help someone else weelol! Hopefully he will just get up and do one himself tonight if he needs. I just feel so lucky he has toilet trained so fast and I am now only changing one set of nappies!!

c1ndy please stay we are not going anywhere and would love to keep in tuch and know how you are doing!

won't we need a new thread soon???

funtimewincies · 01/08/2009 18:52

Come and stay C1NDY if you'd prefer. As Heeby says, you'll be up the duff soon (I've got a feeling in my water ).

Well I went to the MW and she reckons that the Jane Autin-style swooning is down to low blood pressure and to just try and take it easy . Had to stop the car on the dual carriageway yesterday so we'll see what the bloods at 28 weeks (I'm 24 now) show.

Heebychick · 02/08/2009 10:37

funtime i do hope you put the back of your hand to your head in a proper Jane Austin style as well and sigh! seriously tho, i hope you get it sorted as it sounds like it might be dangerous.

nelix it sounds like your routine is all coming together nicely, with DS so brilliantly potty trained (i'm so envious! and must get DD on the way soon as she is clearly ready but we haven't encouraged her enough as we had such big changes going on with bub etc) and what with Phoebe doing a long sleepy night with only one wake that's so great! Ahhhh to have our evenings back to normal, yes please!

Gracie had her normal big feed at 11pm as normal then slept till 3 again, but hardly drank as she kept fallin asleep on me so in the end i gave up and put her bck to bed, but then she woke at 5am starving! hmmm. She then had a huge feed and went right off back to sleep (after a windy cry which seems to happen around 15 mins after a feed despite infacol and good burps). I am wondering if she will eventually drop the 3am feed and maybe do something similar to your DD nelix as she seems to not be that interested at 3am apart from wanting a snack.

DH is back to work tomorrow soi am home alone! eeeekkkk! i have a friend coming over for the morning with her DS to help out and to keep DD occupied a bit. To be honest i feel ok about it, i think i just need to get on with it and get myself into somekind of routine so i can prove to myself i can cope and not spend every morning in our pyjamas watching ceebebees!

Any tips nelix for coping with toddler and baby?!! I guess i need to just ensure i share my attention and give DD more when i can as she will be the one to notice the lack of attention more so.

How is everyone else? Nice weekends?

funtimewincies · 02/08/2009 19:08

Oh I do Heeby and I'm now wondering whether I should go the whole hog and mutter 'oh Mr Bingham' at the same time, just for the look of it .

Sounds like the babies are feeding well, which is half the battle. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with sitting around in pyjamas watching Cbeebies, ds and I still do it and the baby hasn't arrived yet !

nelix2000 · 02/08/2009 19:14

heeby lol i still put cbeebies on with DS sat infront of it eating his breakfast, phoebe sleeps on the sofa and I eat my breakfast sat on here lol!! mornings are made for lounging!! Seriously though...it used to take us an hour to get ready to leave the house...we are now down to 30 mins!!

As to dealing with the two, I tried to make sure Ds's routine was not too disturbed, we do the same bedtime routine and so on.. He now cries like a baby a LOT as he sees it works for Pheebs...so he joins in to get attention even tho I feel he actually gets more now!! You will all find your groove, you have to get to know each other, different relationships etc...you and Gracie, Phoebe and Gracie, DH and you and so on....we are still gelling together but it is almost there now!

funtime take it easy and use that as an excuse to eat chocolate and watch tv! pride and predjudice included!!!

Hurray and Congratulations Cindy - you were clearly destined to stay with us

[waves to everyone else - was going to write big post by DD fussing so better go and check on her....but quickly, Heeby cbeebies is essential for life with with newborn and toddler!!]

C1NDY · 03/08/2009 11:47

Oh my goush, its sinking in. Lets hope this bean sticks as I don't think I will be able to find the strength to ttc again!

C1NDY · 03/08/2009 11:48

Thank you to all... I think you all made this happen. (big hugs)

nelix2000 · 03/08/2009 17:07

Congratulations C1NDY and there was me thinking that it was just the baby lying on my urethra !

Roll up, roll up for Mystic Funtime's Pregnancy Predictions...

Heebychick · 03/08/2009 21:20

c1ndy that is such wonderful news honey!!!! Well done!! Take it easy, look after yourself and you'll see that as the weeks go by you will grow in strength and confidence. Really pleased for you!

Thank you re cbeebies, i feel so much better knowing that i'm not alone but in fact we are all sat doing the same thing first thing in the morning! To be honest if i told Phoebe that we'd have to spend every morning in our pyjamas eating cereal on the sofa watching big cook little cook she'd be in heaven! So i won't worry!

Thanks for the support nelix you are right and yes we need to gel again as a family of 4, it is promising so far and Phoebe does ask for Gracie all the time when she's say in her cot or gone somewhere with daddy etc, she rubbed her tummy today when Gracie was crying and said 'it's ok gracie, don't be sad' it was so sweet!

Well we survived our first day without DH, we were all wasjed, dressed and fed by 10 am which i thought was great and we did leave the house for a walk too and entertained a friend and her DS and i even made dinner and dessert in advance ... oh and had time for a hot choc and a read of my book ... if only every day would be so lovely! Phoebe was really brilliant all day and really helped me out, considering i can't lift much etc yet she doesn't complain or anything, so far ...

I'm really over the moon for you cindy it's such lovely news, feels like a lifetime ago for me now, i feel blessed to have a lovely newborn to snuggle with as you will soon too.

Heebychick · 03/08/2009 21:40

ps not sure if i posted before but if you click on my name i have put a picture of gracie up xx

nelix2000 · 04/08/2009 07:07

heeby I see a scan pic but thats all SOunds like you were well organised for your fist day alone!!!....I have good days and bad lol! I swear when DS cries, Phoebe joins in and visa versa.....tis funny how in tune they are! THough our bad days have been coupled with me having my sisters two kids over the summer holidays so I have 4 of them to pander too!!!.....look at the time...cbeebies is on and I am drinking coffee and mnetting! tis the only 30 mins of the day I get to myself and I love it!!!

Phoebe fed at 12 pm as a dream feed last night and has not fed yet this morning!!!she is playing happily away.....not sure whether to feed her or wait.....wiat I guess!

C1NDY · 04/08/2009 08:42

Heeby I can't see no photo... only a scanned pic of Phoebe.

Thank you to you all. I am still in a daze but I am not going to think about anything. If the baby sticks then it sticks but if it has to go then... well it has to go. Told DH last night and he was like "I am not going to get excited as we have had two MC. I will be only happy when you have an early scan and I see a heart beat"... well, that's that then... I thought. I went upstairs and cried, not because of what he said but that life sometimes is really difficult... I want it to be week 40. Okay, enough of the ramberling. I am not going to come on here for a while, next time will be when I get a picture of my scan. Which will be the first week of September... that way I don't waste time typing all that I am feeling for it all to be gone.

Heeby I will check for your DD photo :0)

Love to you all for your kind words and support. What would I do without you all.

Fantastic news C1ndy I'm sure this one will stick for you and time will fly by for you and it will be 40 wks before you know it.
Well we made it back to UK in one piece with baby still safely tucked up in my tummy, long long drive & my feet swelled up like ballons but so glad its over with now & we are back in our own house.
Have a midwife appointment on Thursday to check in & meet my new midwife on Monday to get shown around the new hospital.
4wks left to go on Friday, thats when DS arrived so I'm counting down the days from Sat onwards. bump was 4lb 10 2wks ago so I think she should be over 6 now, so I'm happy if she comes early that she will be a good weight, I just need her to hold on for a wk or so, so that I can settle back into the house (it needs sooooo much work doing to it, bloody tenants).
Glad everyone else is doing well, will check in more often now that we are back on line

Heebychick · 04/08/2009 11:12

nelix lovely that Phoebe is feeding so well, very impressive, i guess if she's not wanting to feed this morning then maybe you need to cut down on your midnight one a bit so she's hungry at 7am? Before you know it she'll be doing 12 hour! lovely!

Gracie didn't really want her 7am either this morning, she fed well at 11pm and then again at 3am but the problem we have is that she fusses so much bf that she wakes too much at 3am and won't settle for a long time afterwards, she doesn't cry just wide awake and wanting attention. She's more awake in the day now so she should start to sleep better at night if that carries on but not sure if i should switch to a bottle at that 3am one so i can cut it down and dream feed? DD1 cut down her 11pm one really early and that was a bottle so she didn't wake too much, what do you think guys? i don't want to cut her feed down but if she's gained a good weight today (HV coming) then i'll think about less at 3am to encourage more at 7am.

nelix do you still have some 0-3 month clothes? i am short on anything apart from sleepsuits and baby gro's, i lent my SIL lots of bits and she is still using some of them so i might need to stock up!

c1ndy in case you are lurking please do come on anytime and express your thoughts and feelings, you might find it helpful to air your worries to us unstead of RL. We all support you and i really hope you have some good scan news in September.

smiley lovely to hear you are back home and well, glad that little girl behaved and stayed put! Exciting to think another bundle of pink joy will be here soon!

Will try pu pic up again xx

spats · 04/08/2009 15:54

nelix2000 · 04/08/2009 17:22

heeby she is gorgeous!!!!! So sorry but I sold all her clothes on ebay....will have a load of 3-6 ones in about 3 weeks tho!! she is growing out of them now too!!! She is so awak and alert now..only napping an hour here and there in the day...but then does sleep form 7pm with dream feed at 12am...she takes 5 ounces and we will start to cut that down in a week or two I think...she is leaving more and more of the bottle. What was her weight?

smiley you must be relieved to have your home back!!!

spats take the time off and enjoy!!

Hi everyone,

Been off for a while, busy in work and ssssooo tired all the time so not really up to typing much. Sorry, moan over! lol

Heeby your little gracie is beautiful! What a cutie, you must be so proud!

And a very big Congratulations to C1ndy!!!!! Another honourary member to the thread. Take care of yourself honey, what will be will be (and I have a good feeling about this one! ). Keep us posted on progress xx

Well I'm now 32 weeks and so excited about giving birth in the birthing centre (I changed over on Friday). Just can't wait for my little bundle to arrive now. Me and DH are starting the nursery this weekend as he is now out of plaster and our furniture is being delivered friday. All happening!

Take care everyone, sorry if i don't post much but I am reading what's going on with everyone xxxxxxxxxx

Heebychick · 04/08/2009 21:44

nelix she was a measly 10lb 1oz! but she is solid rather than big and still in some newborn stuff. Wow you know i am so impressed that you have sorted your routine at this early stage and are well on the way to getting her down for the whole night....really good stuff!

We ended up speaking to the Dr about her sicking up her milk today but he wasn't concerened, just said to ensure she gets a good feed each feedtime and if not to top her up every 2 hours, so will play tonight and tomorrow by ear and see how she goes. She has been sleeping a lot today so am sure she will be quite alert overnight - oh dear, must try to keep her awake a bit more during the day!

iggy thank you honey, really hope to see you back very soon, take care of yourself.

spats leave when you can ... i left at 34 weeks and so glad i did, i got so tired and i also wanted to treasure the time with DD1 before baby came along.

wananbe wow ... not long to go, so lovely to hear about your plans, good luck with the nursery, what theme are you doing?

Thank you re kind comments .... she stores milk in those cheeks i'm sure!
