Just logging in to see if any news on pinkali. lacks chin up, you can do this, dont be down or scared.

Mind you ive just had MIL come round unannounced with DH's 18mnth old niece. She was dressed as a pumpkin, threw herself on the floor and screamed whilst MIL sat chatting to DH. when she went i just sobbed and sobbed. Just not what i needed, felt really emotional for nothing and child screeching just tipped me over. and i feel a real cow for it, but if she had called i could have said no! i just get railroaded by his family all the time. Dh is off out with the groom from tomorrows wedding and im sat like a blubbing heap feeling sorry for myself!

i'll log in tomorrow and hopefully will have news of pinkali and lacks babies

Ohhh Lacks, that sounds promising!! I have been incredibly irritable and bored today and felt a little tearful earlier. Now having strong BH's (I think) for about 3 hours, but haven't been timing them. It is sooo hard to remember to time each one when I am being distracted by the boys. If I had to guess, I would say they are about 10 minutes apart and although strong, I can talk through them ect, mind you, was still laughing and joking with the midwives at 7cm dilated with ds2, lol!

I think I will put the boys to bed shortly, massage bump with some clary sage and see if anything comes of it. Still no show and no big clear out yet.... but didn't have one with ds2 either.

ceebee74 · 31/10/2008 19:41

Daisy oh best of luck my lovely - you sound scared but you know your body can do it - just remember each contraction is one nearer you meeting your little one

Hana how exciting for you aswell - gosh this thread is very busy today isn't it??

Saurus if you are lurking, hope everything is going ok

We have had no trick or treaters knocking at all - not that we were planning on opening the door but still - very strange to get to 7.30 and nothing!!

Felt really uncomfortable today - DH keeps asking me what the matter is and when I tell him, his response is 'you have got another 2 and a bit weeks of it' - like that is supposed to make me feel better. He is definitely a 'just get on with it' person (except when he is ill of course) - he hates me being ill and just expects me to carry on as normal which is just annoying at times! Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest!!

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 19:54

Heartmum sounds like everything starting up a gear for you too! Gosh I can see this whole Nov thread giving birth tonight at this rate (joke).

Await news from Daisy and now Hana too!

Ceebs yes that is a very man attitude isn't it. One bloody contraction would be enough to send them all panicing and proclaiming they were dying as well! This has got to be the worst stage I think, can't get comfy awake or asleep! Natures way of making us want this all to end?? (as if we were wanting it to last forever!!).

I still haven't done a hospital bag.

Oh and my MW friend just gave me a Top Tip if anyone else has a Back-to-Back baby. Apparently keeping one leg higher than the other as much as possible and esp during labour works!

Also having pool birth makes turning more likely/easy. AND pool birth makes perineum less likely to tear (so if the dubious claims about the RLT don't work... haha!!)

MonkeyMargot · 31/10/2008 20:38

OOh Lacks good luck gal! You'll be brilliant of course. Great that you have your doula to call up for reassurance. Don't be scared! You do such a sterling job of calming everyone else down - now you need everyone to support you.
Welcome back pinky...and congrats to mummyannabella!!!

ceebee74 · 31/10/2008 20:48

Sparks am not ignoring you at Scrabble - am just really struggling to come up with a word so I keep coming back to it

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 20:55

No worries Ceebs my stoopid connection keeps going down...

vbab78 · 31/10/2008 20:56

obs - glad to hear the tongue snipping went well.

pinky - any chance you can put some pics Imogen on your mumsnet profile? just i havent got facebook.

lacks - hope baby makes an appearance soon so your pain goes away.

sparkletoes - thanks for the tip on turning a back to back baby. DS and this one both back to back. If I can attempt to turn this one I will.

ceebee74 · 31/10/2008 21:22

Vbab Guess you will have to clean your floors on your hands and knees over and over again

Tis quiet on here tonight - is everyone else off having babies aswell!

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 21:35

Vbab apparently you want to have one leg in a lunge (sp?) as if going up stairs.. Well as much as your pelvic floor will allow!!

ruthosaurus · 31/10/2008 22:14

Sorry not to check back sooner - well done and congrats to everyone, love you all!

Can I just say WTF - was there some kind of announcement that went out today that only babies can hear?

I have not had baby Saurus yet, scaly little bugger, BUT I am pretty sure my waters have now broken as I have a wet patch that isn't wee and I have some show that is bloody! I can't remember what to do next, though. Wish me luck, eh?

PS Lacks, you can do it, babes.

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 22:19

Ruthy does it have a slightly metallic aroma? Sounds like it is waters anyway GOOD LUCK babe XX

vbab78 · 31/10/2008 22:19

ruth - not long now then. Really excited for you. Also a little green with envy! You dont need luck. Nothing you cant handle.

ceebee74 · 31/10/2008 22:22

Saurus not long now then until we get to meet Babysaurus Will be thinking of you and hope to log on tomorrow to find some fab news from your text buddy xx

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 22:24

This is sooo exciting only prob is we're gonna need a new thread asap.. who suggested the name again was it Hana??

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 22:24

or was it MonkeyM??

ceebee74 · 31/10/2008 22:27

I think it was Daisy with 'there's no business like Show business'

although I quite like 'the thread where the babies all thought October was actually November' (or something along those lines!)

No maybe we should stick to Daisy's.

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 22:32

Ah yes Daisy's show business that has a ring to it, shall we...

ruthosaurus · 31/10/2008 22:35

On the phone to triage at the hospital now - am being advised to chill and ring back in 2 hours just in case its discharge in vast quantities and not waters. Arrgh.

So have sent poor tired sweet DH to bed with a can of Guinness to help him sleep (bless) as he is so tired he is reading Grazia and trying to turn the DVD off with the video remote.

I am going to lie down and have a v cold drink as ordered and call them back later. I will of course get on here first unless in total agony!

You are all SO ace and I couldn't do this without you...

Btw, DW, after all my advice the other day we told parents just before contractions stopped last time and bloody step-MIL called back an hour later to ask why we weren't at the hospital as she had called them to see how I was doing having been told in no uncertain terms "don't call us, we'll call you".

Sorry to all not namechecked with new babies - I am SOOOOOOO pleased for you and not a little but I have now been on the go, bar 3 2-hour naps, for 40 hours, about 24 of which were spent having contractions, so I am very very stupid now. Love and hugs to you and your gorgeous babies!

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 22:36

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 22:39

MonkeyMargot · 01/11/2008 07:21

Good luck Rutho!!! Not long now!!!
