Hi All
Sorry I've been hibernating!

Wow all these babies- congratulations to all, and to our latest, Missy- well done you .

Are Merry's twins ok?

Lacks- re scar trouble- yes I had some. Had some contractions on wednesday night in hospital and they were very painful. Turns out I had two lrge adhesions near my bladder and the contractions were pulling on them. I hope your vbac will not be too painful.

I ended up having a non-elective cs because baby was recording no growth, but she is a big fraud and breastcrawled as soon as she was delivered, guzzling away just fine- little chubby chops! She weighed 6lbs 15oz- a good weight for 38 weeks.

Do we have a list of who has had their babies??

Oblomov · 31/10/2008 13:40

RESULT
Max's tongue has been snipped. One of the lovely secretaries at ST Peters ,(local hospital)took pity on me, due to my sobbing down the phone. She arranged it. It was done this morning. Hoorah. WIll let you know how we get on. He didn't even cry. Quite alot of blood. SO VERY VERY HAPPY

Pinkyminkee · 31/10/2008 13:45

ooh did he have tongue-tie, oblomov? poor lamb. Hope all goe well.

Just read missy's birth announcement- I hope things are ok- she must be desperate to get to him.

Oblomov · 31/10/2008 13:46

Congratulations Missygoo and Jonathan

goodluck misdee and rutho

Oblomov · 31/10/2008 13:49

MonkeyMargot · 31/10/2008 13:56

Obs - here is the birth announcement link - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/624544-nov-2008-birth-announcements

So pleased for you that Max has had his tongue cut - fingers crossed his feeding accelerates now!! Hope you're feeling good - got into those skinny jeans yet? (bitch!)
Great news about Missygoo!!! Welcome to the world baby jonathan (my DH's name - good choice!)
Good luck Misdee and Rutho!

sparkletoes · 31/10/2008 14:12

Welcome back PinkyMinky saw pics of Imogen on FB and she is just gorgeous! Definately get use of your pink babysnuggle now - brrr it is freezing here!

Great news Obs am sure Max will be full speed ahead with feeding now! So glad it was so stress free in the end.

I did wonder if they got inspiration from your DH's name there Monkey!! Think it came up in a names discussion but could be wrong.

Good luck vibes to Ruthy too hope she gets a restful sleep in preparation of what is to come....

Tinkerisdead · 31/10/2008 14:20

I just went for a pedicure, came back and another baby is born!!! Congrats to missygoo and baby Jonathan.
yorky i think we are all impatient and not waiting for Nov as so many have blatently disregarded November and popped babies out early and so have given us all false hope! No baby here, no signs of a baby here....but i have beautiful toes now

Heartmum2Jamie · 31/10/2008 14:49

Obs, that is great news about Max, I am sure he will do great guns now!

Well, today I am mainly irritable and bored. Since Wednesday I have been getting alot of what feel likes kicks to my back and pressure on the back passage. Is this good does anyone know. It kind of hurts when the little chap does big rolling movements. I hope this means he is facing my back and not posterior (you'd think I would know by now, lol!). I picked up some clary sage oil earlier which I might try in the bath tonight. Anyone have any experience?

MummyAnnabella · 31/10/2008 15:06

have added my birth announcment to list

had little Lucy (6lb15) at 38+3 on 21 Oct though she is not due to 1 Nov

was booked for section on the thurs (due to previous classical section) but in early hours of tues morning it all kicked off.

waters went at 4am but then nothing to just after 5am when had 1st contraction. within 15 min they were 2 min apart and painful so a quick dash to hospital was made and after a short wait on doctor i was in theatre by 7am and Lucy was out by 7.26am! so all v quick at the end of the day!

she is delightful baby who is breastfeeding well and sleeping most of the time. so content and chilled out.

congats to the rest of the new mummies too!

Betti · 31/10/2008 15:29

HM2J - I tried clary sage bath with dd1. Tipped in about 1/4 of a bottle and laid in there for an hour. WAters broke 4 hours later but it was my due date so it could have all kicked off anyway. If you're anything like me, you'll try it anyway. I smothered my bump in clary sage yesterday and think I might have a bath tomorrow morning. I've had that pressure feeling in my back passage too. Almost as if I need to poo (sorry ).

Congrats to all you new mums. I'm losing track as to who has had their babes. It seems to me lots of them are coming early. Sods law mine will be late

thanks, sparkle.
Congratulations, mummyannabellla.

To all those envious of the early babies, don't be. i was not expecting an early baby and i hve not got lots of things ihad planned done, and I didn't really want this CS.
However, my baby is gorgeous .

MummyNic · 31/10/2008 16:25

Congratulations missygoo and mummyannabella. Ah... only 5 days until I'm induced although I might try and have the guts to have the sweep on Monday after wimping out last night.

hanaflower Pierce is my fave too - gorgeous!! We've got tickets for 2pm tomorrow - I might pop a pad on just-in-case but the thought of free cinema tickets is quite appealing. Not sure how appealing I'd be though as growth scan showed I have way more than average fluid so it'll be like the summer floods when my waters go!!!

Tinkerisdead · 31/10/2008 16:26

see pinkyminkeee, its the whole gorgeous baby bit...we're jealous. you know, when your faced with swollen ankles, gunge that we question is a show, reflux and projectile sick, twinges, no sleep and someone comes along and says "my baby is gorgeous" it makes us and weep into our pillows

cricri · 31/10/2008 16:26

Congratulations Mummyannabella
Obs So glad you got Max's tongue sorted out. Hopefully will be plain sailing from now on.
Pinkyminkee Good to have you back! Hope all is going well with little Imogen.
Glad all is well with Rutho and hope she's getting lots of rest!
I have a sweep booked for Sunday pm (40+1) if nothing happening by then - I've heard mixed reports about sweeps. Does it really hurt?
