Calling all pregnant ladies in Blackheath/Manor Park/Lew

Hello! I'm new to mumsnet AND being a mum ? this is my first!! Am only 15+3 weeks. I live in Blackheath / Lew and was wondering if there are any pregnancy groups that I can join / attend other than the NCT classes (I might be too early for those classes?). Just a gossip coffee on a saturday morning with people in the same boat would be nice!

I often catch the train from Blackheath St and wonder if there are any other 15 weekers on the platfrom just getting over morning sickness!!

Im very accessible to Manor Park too.

Would love to hear from anyone

Em

Will have to check work diary but 12th seems good to me. What time?

DP says - what you going to a pub for you cant drink. I say - I can drink as much as other preggers women lol

helpivegottogivebirth · 05/01/2009 20:22

i think previous time was 6.30?
I also think it's absolutely hilarious a bunch of pregnant ladies meeting in a pub - good for us! Make mine a pint of kaliber!

feb80 · 06/01/2009 13:23

Hi everyone, I'm free on 12th - would be lovely to see you all again (and others!) at The Railway.

rosa7 · 06/01/2009 17:45

i'll be there!

se8mum · 07/01/2009 08:11

me too, looking forward to catching up

america · 07/01/2009 15:34

Can I join too? I'm due mid-Feb and live in Greenwich. I cannot make it on Monday as it's my turn to look after the toddler but would love to meet you!

cazinski · 08/01/2009 19:36

Hi Ladies! Please let me come too! Not only am I newly pregnant, just over 9 weeks, but we only moved to the area last summer and I'd love to meet some new friends, especially who are in the same boat as me. It's pretty rubbish being new to the area with no chums to pester and ask questions about baby things.

So, I'll be there with bells on-the Railway pub in Blackheath, Monday at 6.30pm? (Just making sure!) Looking forward to it!

helpivegottogivebirth · 09/01/2009 07:17

Excellent - 6.30 on Monday at the Railway.
I'll be wearing green (and looking a bit fatter now)
Looking forward to talking about babies again!

feb80 · 09/01/2009 13:56

Be good to meet you cazinski - I was 10 weeks when we last met up and everyone's advice was very helpful!

Helptogivebirth... looking forward to seeing your new bump! You know you said last time your skin was bad, well I've reached that stage now. Urgh it's horrible.

See everyone on Monday at 6.30pm. Look out for the table of juice drinkers!

Tupperwife · 09/01/2009 14:00

There should be a table reserved for 'Kat' in the front of the pub. I've said around 8 of us from 6.30. The idea of having to hover for a table when I'm 37 weeks in was too much to take the chance I'm afraid.

Just arranging my homebirth so I've got loads to bore you all with!

helpivegottogivebirth · 09/01/2009 17:39

FEb80 - there is light at the end of the tunnel! Skin is healing finally.

Tupperware - that sounds like very exciting news - i'm intrigued to find out what swung you away from Queen Elizabeths to your home ...

looking forward to the meet up.

heverhoney1 · 09/01/2009 20:48

Haha DP just had a major panic attack about me meeting random strangers off the internet. He was worried about me bless him. Untill I pointed out that if I walk into the pub and dont see a bunch of preggers ladies then I wont be hanging around long lol

heverhoney1 · 11/01/2009 13:04

Hi ladies are we def all still on for tomorrow? I dont want to walk into the railway looking like a lemon if no one is there!

I have to admit I am quite nervous. Silly I know

Tupperwife · 11/01/2009 14:13

I'll be in Blackheath with my parents all day, so will definately be there on time. Clearly I'm desperate for some non family time. I may even bring my knitting with me in case I'm early... Presumably if help is wearing green and hever are dressed as a lemon we'll be pretty distinctive (apart from the pillow smuggling I mean)

Till tomorrow!

heverhoney1 · 11/01/2009 14:23

Okey dokey. my train wont get in till about 6.40 so will be there around then and I will be wearing a pink cardie. Pink is very not me normally but my choice of clothes is severely limited at the mo lol xxxx

cazinski · 12/01/2009 10:27

Hello all! Yes I'm still up for tonight, and am looking forward to it. Don't worry heverhoney, first time for me tonight, as my DP pointed out (in fits of laughter), everyone's pregnant, drinking lemonade and pretty harmless. It's my booking in appointment tomorrow, so I'll be asking a pile of questions.

I'll hopefully be there on time, I've just got to come from the Blackheath Standard, and as for clothes, I'll no doubt have my huge coat with fur hood on- as it's chuffing freezing!! xx

heverhoney1 · 12/01/2009 12:13

My timing may be a bit off tonight. Had a call from midwife thismorning who tells me I have a urine infection (NICE)and have to see the GP for antibiotics so am home from work waiting for an appointment. Cranberry juice it is for me then xxxxx

daisyj · 12/01/2009 13:44

Really looking forward to meeting/catching up with everyone. Can't wait to show you my comedy bump - particularly hilarious from sideways on . Oh, and prepare to discuss perineal massage - terrifying!

rosa7 · 12/01/2009 14:50

hi guys!
really looking forward to tonight - might be 645ish. I'll be wearing - a big bump!!
Can't wait to meet you all, save me a seat!

Jas28 · 12/01/2009 16:12

Hi All
Just new to this site and new to the pregnancy thing too! I'm 13 1/2 weeks and live in Blackheath and would love to meet up with other mum's to be in the area and most of my mates are either still partying or miles away! Has anyone registered for NCT classes, not sure when I should start looking into that and forgot to ask my midwife at my first appointment? Would love to hear/meet up with anyone. (smile)
xx

feb80 · 12/01/2009 16:52

Hi Jas28, welcome and congratulations! You're a couple of weeks behind me and I have just registered for a Blackheath NCT course in April. There may be some places left on it if you're interested? Check the NCT website for full details but the local coordinator is called Alison and her email address is: [email protected].

Can you make it to our meet-up tonight as you live in Blackheath? From 6.30pm at The Railway pub. We'll be the table of fatties drinking lemonade! If not I'm sure we'll have another one soon as the last one was a success.

Jas28 · 12/01/2009 17:04

Hi Feb80, thanks for info about NCT and tonight. Would love to come along if that's ok with everyone, I'll probably only manage one/two drinks though if that's ok as have to get back for 7:30 but would be great to meet you all. I'll email Alison now and see what she says about NCT. So glad I came on here now, see you later

cazinski · 12/01/2009 17:25

Hi Jas! Yes come along tonight! I'm not staying for too long either, but would be lovely to see you-I'm off to get ready..I'm so excited to meet everyone!

Jas28 · 13/01/2009 13:04

Just wanted to say it was great meeting you all last night and hopefully we can do it again soon. It was just a shame I had to go and didn't get a chance to speak to all. Thanks for info! Hopefully we can keep in touch, I should have been more organised and taken your emails down but you have mine so hopefully look forward to hearing from some of you xxx

rosa7 · 13/01/2009 17:36
