Hello! I'm new to mumsnet AND being a mum ? this is my first!! Am only 15+3 weeks. I live in Blackheath / Lew and was wondering if there are any pregnancy groups that I can join / attend other than the NCT classes (I might be too early for those classes?). Just a gossip coffee on a saturday morning with people in the same boat would be nice!

I often catch the train from Blackheath St and wonder if there are any other 15 weekers on the platfrom just getting over morning sickness!!

Im very accessible to Manor Park too.

Would love to hear from anyone

Em

Probably see some of you around and about anyway!

daisyj · 04/08/2009 20:48

Yes, a weekly thing now, it seems. See you soon. x

It has been ages since I was on and very close to having my bambino. (Next week to be precise, have to be induced). Soo nervous.

I was wondering could I be included in the e-mail loop about the tues meet ups cos soon I will have a little one to bring along. Not sure how I go about giving out my address/ getting in on it without breaking the privacy thing- help!

Due to fun complications I have sadly never made it with my bump. Look forward to meeting everyone when have had bambino.

If you click on 'Contact Poster' you can send me a message with your email details without putting it on the board (or can send them to anyone else you might know, if that's easier). It'll come to me as an email.

rosa7 · 17/08/2009 12:01

Dear all,
I have this cot for sale its in new condition just a few months old.
Is anyone interested
I'll take any fair offer!
Thanks!

Powdoc · 17/08/2009 15:29

Anyone up for meeting tomorrow? Looks like the weather is meant to be ok, so we could finally have a meet up in the park. Usual spot (by the herb garden).

Any thoughts on a wet weather alternative. Paul maybe, as a change from Cafe Rouge?

Shall we say 1pm (I think that the midday was only because of aquanatal, which is the morning during holidays. Would give the bumps more time afterwards if they wanted to go home and change).

Fliss01 · 07/09/2009 11:00

Hi was just wondering if the Tuesday meet up are still happening. If there is one tomo and someone sees this could they post where it is. Haven't got anyoe's e-mail address and not sure about how to exchange them without breaking privacy codes etc.
I tried as you suggested PowDoc to contact you through contact poster but its failing for some reason.
Many thanks.

daisyj · 08/09/2009 10:40

Hi Fliss

I've emailed you in response to your CAT message, but wasn't sure if you had received. In case I typed your address wrong or something, this is just to say that we do still meet on Tuesdays, usually in Greenwich park if nice weather or Bar Du Musee or Cafe Rouge if not nice. Do you live Manor Park/Manor Lane area? If so we could meet and go together. I'll be leaving around 11.30.

bubblensqueek · 11/09/2009 13:37

hello ladies,

My name is Sofie and I met some of you at the Greenwich Union way back in March through DaisyJ and HelpI'vegotogivebirth who did my antenatal classes (I'm a qualified midwife).
On request of quite a few of Greenwich mums I am doing a weaning workshop on September 22nd from 7-9pm at the Greenwich West Arts and Community Centre on Greenwich High Road. The workshop will include:
. plan to introduce solid foods
. essential nutrients
. foods to avoid at each weaning stage
. meal ideas

The workshop is suitable for parents with babies from 3.5 months. It's an evening course so Dad can babysit but if this is not an option, bub is more than welcome to come.
The workshop costs £25 to attend. If anyone is interested please do call me on 07960606863.

Hi All,

Can I join in? Am 33 weeks pregnant so not sure if open to bumps or not? Live in Greenwich and would love to meet some mummies or mummies to be in the area!

lizzytee · 15/10/2009 20:58

Hi AlliPet

have a look for NCT Greenwich on Facebook - we'll be organising some get togethers for pregnant mums in the area, or email [email protected]

musicmama · 29/10/2009 14:24

Hello! Saw old thread about the tuesday meet up--does that still happen? Am 31 weeks and would love to meet some blackheath / greennwich bumps and mums!

dodders · 30/10/2009 19:35

Hi AlliPet and Musicmama. Yes, the meet-ups are still happening but tend to get arranged by email now. If you click on 'contact poster' and let me know your contact details, I'll add you the email list.

Clarabell1 · 15/11/2009 19:05

Hi all,

I'm new to mumsnet, pregnancy and just trying to navigate my way around the site. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and keen to meet local expecting mums and find out whats going on in the area to keep fit whilst my tummy starts to expand. I can see there used to be a Tuesday meetup in Greenwich although not sure if this is still happening? If anyone knows of any antenatal aerobics or groups in Blackheath / Greenwich please let me know.

Hope to meet some of you soon.

daisyj · 15/11/2009 19:09

Hi Clarabell

I have 7mo dd and am now back at work, but can I suggest that you CAT dodders (see above) and she'll add you to the email list. Tuesday meet-ups are still alive and well, and you'll be able to get lots of info on other local stuff from the girls there.

dodders · 27/11/2009 20:53

Hi Clarabell,

Sorry only just read your post. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Yes, Tuesday meet-ups are still happening. They tend to be at the Paul Cafe at the National Maritime Museum from about 1pm ish. If you CAT me with your email address, I can add you to the email list.

Re keeping fit, Ellie Brown (www.greenwichpilates.co.uk/) runs antenatal pilates classes. She is also a personal trainer and I had some sessions with her when I was pregnant and she was great at advising what I should and shouldn't be doing at each stage of the pregnancy. I'm now doing Running Mummies and Mother & Baby pilates with her and really enjoying it. Some of the other girls went to the antenatal aquarobics class at the Arches Leisure center and one of my NCT friends did pregnancy yoga with Bernadette King (www.peacefulpractice.co.uk/index.htm).

Hope this helps,

Lorna
