Brand new BFP's - anyone due a June 2009 baby?

summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

SB x

Hi SB- Just wanted to say a big congrats- I am on the April 09 thread so wont be joining you but give it a few days and am sure there'll be quite a group of you.

BubbaP · 28/09/2008 14:23

Hi summerbird

Your post on the 1st time TTC has prompted me to join the May ante-natal thread, but just wanted to say a quick hello! It's been a rough couple of weeks on the other thread hasn't it? That's why I haven't posted much on there lately.

Congrats again on your BFP!

summerbird · 28/09/2008 16:08

Ah thanks Bubba i feel terrible for the girls on the other thread as i know exactly what they are going through, as i said i am gonna devote that time to supporting them which is why i set this up.

i will jump on May occasionally to see how you and your lickle welsh bean are getting on!

I think I'm due on June 2nd - pregnancy number five, hopefully baby number three. I've had two second trimester losses so a long way to go. I'm seeing GP on Monday.

Bumpsadaisie · 28/09/2008 16:45

Hi Summerbird

Was thrilled to hear of your BFP - same time as me I think. Good to have a June thread - my dd is 28 May but almost certainly it will be later than that, so will probably end up being June!

Are you having symptoms at all? I'm having to go for a wee much more and also (ironically!) am constipated (I wonder if its the folic acid/vits/iron I'm taking?) I also find I wake up v early in the morning feeling like getting up (unlike me!) but then by mid afternoon I'm ready for a "nap". Also feeling the need to eat more - wake up in the morning and instead of feeling like sweet coffee and cereal I feel a need for salty things (eg Seabrook crisps, Rivita with strong welsh goats cheese!)

Are you going to go to the doctors? I was wondering when I ought to.

Cheers, Bumps x

VickyJane77 · 28/09/2008 17:25

Hi summerbird, I got a BFP yesterday, then checked it again today on my free clearblue and got another BFP. I think I'm due June 7th. I had a MC back in June, so I'm a little anxious at the mo. Can't wait to get to 12 weeks.

summerbird · 28/09/2008 17:43

joyfuleyes well done on baby no 5! i knew a girl who also had two second trimester losses - it is so but heres sticking to a june baby

hi there bumps i wondered if you would join me! although i am due on 5 June i do reckon it will be nearer to 19 June due to OV dates. I am going to ring the docs tomorrow as i want to get booked in asap (i need antihistamine so need to be prescribed some safe ones as well as the general chat).

vicky i have so far done three tests! i found the Boots ones rubbish as couldnt tell either way, but the free clearblue one was brilliant.

i am being really cautious too, 12 weeks seems like so far away. but luckily other than excessive peeing i have no symptoms to speak of, my mum said to give it a couple of weeks and my (.)(.)s will be massive and i will be chucking up for england!!

VickyJane77 · 28/09/2008 17:48

I'm just very tired at the moment, had a two hour sleep this afternoon, which was very nice. I'm going to phone my GP tomorrow and get booked in too.

Jools1 · 28/09/2008 18:05

Hello

I may well float in and out of here if you lovely ladies don't mind I'm on the May thread, as my EDD is May 29th but I guess it is highly likely this will be a June baby as it is my first

I also tried a Boots cheapie first and got SUCH a faint line, I just couldn't decide if it was there or not, so broke out the free trial ClearBlue one - a very lucky one for me Since then, I've gone through a couple of packs of the Sainsburys ones as I need to keep checking it is real !

I'm 5+2 at the moment I think and have not had MS yet - just low-level nausea. The excessive weeing is only just starting to be noticeable and I'm much less tired than I was a week ago. The major "problem" symptoms are my boobs ! Loving the cleavage but trying to keep to a lower impact version of my normal gym routine is proving extremely painful - I need an industrial strength sports bra I think

VickyJane77 · 28/09/2008 18:15

I used the boots cheapie yesterday, and it too was a faint line, so I used my free clearblue today, very lucky for me too.

summerbird · 28/09/2008 19:22

welcome aboard jools you are only a week ahead of me then, i agree that it will prob be up to two weeks after.

i am no more tired than usual but am going to try the gym tomorrow, i usually try to run 5k which takes me 40 mins but am just going to do a much lower impact light jog for 30 mins if i can which will be nowhere near 5k but still a bit of exercise. well done on your big boobs though!! my DH cant wait for that - i already have swingers as it is!!

I am going to have a cheeky guinness tonight, for the iron obviously! my mum drank makesons stout when she was PG with me and my sisters!!

OP posts:
summerbird · 28/09/2008 19:24

ps - the Boots tests are so frustrating, they only hint at a cross and the second line was so faint i couldnt work out whether it was supposed to be there, if it wasnt for the clearblue one i wouldnt know now.

Congratulations everyone! Lots of shiny new BFPs, lovely

I got a BFP yesterday morning and another this morning, due on 7th June. It's all little bizarre and unreal at the moment TBH. This is our second month of TTC DC2 and I picked up on a chemical pregnancy last month. It's not that the CP awfully upset me or anything, it just feels weird to get two BFPs in a row like this. We were TTC for more than a year for DD so I think you'll understand that this really does feel strange...

DreamyDorrie · 28/09/2008 20:00

Really we should start a list, we'll lose track without one at this rate. I'll make a start if nobody minds, apologies for any errors or omissions...

Bumpsadaisie 28th May
Jools1 29th May
joyfuleyes 2nd June
summerbird 5th June
VickyJane77 7th June
DreamyDorrie 7th June (age 30, DD 10 months)

Jools1 · 28/09/2008 20:19

Summerbird - I had exactly the same experience with that Boots test - never ever again - I was holding it up to the light, even took the test apart to try and work out if there really was colour on the line, or it was just where the line was meant to be !

This was the middle of the afternoon and I was getting frantic, I thought I'd end up wasting the ClearBlue as I wasn't using FMU !!

Never again - I am now converted to, if I ever TTC again, having a nice unambiguous digital test in the drawer to try before I get too neurotic and obsessed !

The Sainsburys tests I have in the house now as "reassurance" are far far better - one line in a second window indicates a positive, which is much easier to read than a cross.

mumof2andabit · 28/09/2008 20:42

I'll join you! Bfp on Friday morning it's my third baby.....

summerbird · 29/09/2008 08:58

DreamyDorrie · 29/09/2008 09:05

Good morning! Hows things today?

I'm nice and nauseous

It would probably be easier to use the DOB of our DC than age, it'll make the list lower maintenance. So:

Bumpsadaisie 28th May
Jools1 29th May
joyfuleyes 2nd June
summerbird 5th June (age 35, first one)
VickyJane77 7th June
DreamyDorrie 7th June (age 30, DD 19/11/07)

Jools1 · 29/09/2008 09:18

Oops - I've just realised I'm now on 3 antenatal threads [oops].

Hope nobody minds - I do spend a lot of time online, so it just gives me more chatting opportunities

I have no nausea at all this morning and no real appetite either I think my fat belly is taking on a bump shape though

Just stuck a couple more details on this list:

Bumpsadaisie 28th May
Jools1 29th May (age 38, first one)
joyfuleyes 2nd June
summerbird 5th June (age 35, first one)
VickyJane77 7th June
DreamyDorrie 7th June (age 30, DD 19/11/07)

Myneaux · 29/09/2008 09:50

Hi there

Congrats everyone...I have just come back from the Doc's and have a comfirmed due date of 1st June so you can add me to the list.

No symptoms yet (apart from mildly sore boobs)...I know it sounds daft but I would love to have a touch of morning sickness just so that it feels real (am probably gonna regret that loads).

Got married in July and only started trying in August so its all happened a bit quicker than I was expecting !

I think June is a fantastic time to have a baby too....as a December baby myself I always wanted to have a birthday and parties in the summer.

summerbird · 29/09/2008 12:33

myneaux i know what you mean, i could do with a bit of MS or sore boobs just to make it all real! my mum reckons it will be approx 7-8 weeks for that to kick in!

it is my first day at work since my BFP, it is great knowing that i am sitting on dynamite!! though i did blab to a close colleague at lunchtime and she was blubbing in sainsburys!!

OP posts:
summerbird · 29/09/2008 12:35

ps i have got my docs appointment on wednesday morning - dont forget to take a wee sample in girls if you have a spare bottle!!

OP posts:
Jools1 · 29/09/2008 12:42

My GP didn't want a sample - he asked me if I'd done an HPT - I confessed to having done more than one , so he just took me at my word

DreamyDorrie · 29/09/2008 12:48

Congratulations Myneaux!

Bumpsadaisie 28th May
Jools1 29th May (age 38, first one)
