Brand new BFP's - anyone due a June 2009 baby?

summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

SB x

Snap ! Chinese here too - only I've had a handful of spicey crackers, a couple of ribs, a couple of pork balls and I am competely stuffed ! Think I will be having the main course tomorrow night !

Llynnn - I phoned my surgery to ask whether I should book straight with midwife and they were not friendly I was expecting a word of congratulations but got nothing. They weren't rude though ...

I was more disappointed with the lack of info from the GP ..

MrsMcJnr · 02/10/2008 22:08

Thanks Jools1 LOL about the conference call, I hope there wasn?t a video phone!

Summerbird ? sorry to hear about the need for the sports bra with you I know what you mean about the BDing, last time, I sort of didn?t want to for the first 12 weeks which was fine with DH as he was thoroughly sick of it after so long of TTC

Bigcar ? you?ve got a nice mix of ages with your DC

Alithebard ? sorry to hear about the piles I was lucky enough to escape those last time.

Vickyjane ? I know exactly how you feel, I feel exactly the same. I?m not sure that that feeling ever goes away when you have had a mc. I was shaking like a leaf at my early scan today (it went ok, sac in the right place and all looking good for ongoing viability but still too early to see much more ? I?m only about 4 weeks). Hope all goes well tomorrow x

Llynnnn ? I?ve found some drs receptionists like that too!

Anyone having problems sleeping? I?m knackered all day and then can?t sleep, it?s so frustrating.

Jools1 · 03/10/2008 09:08

Well I dreamt about having an MMC last night I then totted up my lack of symptoms this morning:

No particular tiredness - still able to go to the gym / stay awake till 11pm and the post lunch low is quite possibly normal

Not hungry at all - don't really want food but the very mild nausea I did have seems to have gone completely and I didn't gag at cat food this morning - think my sense of smell is not as keen as it was ?

Boobs still sore, but the night before, they were so sore I couldn't sleep on my left side. Last night, I could.

Am having a dark morning, imagining the worst and knicker checking Need some symptoms to come back to stop me being paranoid and rushing out to buy more sticks to pee on !

summerbird · 03/10/2008 09:12

mrsmcjnr i am having that sleeping thing too, i then wake up in the morning knackered too

jools i had chicken satay, veggie spring rolls then chicken curry with fried rice it was yummy tho me and DH shared it so we could eat it all at once.

i too was a bit concerned about the lack of advice from my GP

stick with us vickyjane you are right to be cautious but we will look after you

Jools1 · 03/10/2008 09:13

I have chicken satay and singapore noodles waiting for me tonight - couldn't fit it in last night !

bigcar · 03/10/2008 09:42

Morning everyone!

I'm not sleeping that great either at the moment, probably something to do with getting up for a wee a couple of times a night! Either that or I wake up about 4am and can't get back to sleep, then when it's time to get up I'm just about ready to go to sleep again. Dhs snoring doesn't help much, sounds a bit like a half strangled pig lol!

I've got dd2 and ds at home today, inset day, feels like they've only just gone back to school. Dd3 is enjoying having them home, she's already bossing them around!

I think we might be having chinese for dinner tonight! I'm also making the most of drinking tea before it starts make me feel sick fairly soon

Hope your day gets better jools.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/10/2008 09:48

Just a quick hello from a June 07 graduate.

Can't believe there is an 09 thread already..seems like only yesterday I was getting my BFP, but my "baby" is now 16 months old and a little tyke!

Good Luck to all of you

llynnnn · 03/10/2008 09:53

morning!
Jools - hope you feel brighter, the only symptom i have is sore bb's and they aren't THAt sore really, every hour or so i find myself slyly smacking them to check if they still hurt .

i did another test today (just to shut the doc's up really! it was DEF a BFP, the pg line came before the control line!!

mmmm all this talk of Chinese i really fancy one now!! mmm chicken chow mein!!
mrsmcjnr - glad you got on well at your scan and feel reassured.

well, i'm FULL of cold today, i cant stop sneezing and my throats killing. need to pop some lemsip tablets and go back to sleep!! but i'm stuck at work all day and cant take anything!!

bigcar - sounds like you are in a for a busy day! good luck!!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/10/2008 09:59

Added, my dh says everything will be fine this time so I'm trying to believe him!

Jools - I have next to no symptoms yet too, I am quite tired I must admit but apart from that and tiny twinges of nausea, nothing. But I figure there's plenty of time for all that to kick in (sadly) and sometimes it just isn't too bad for some. My dh said that I must have had an easy time with dd as I was younger (21) and so this one will be like last time (the m/c) and be horrendous. He thinks he is funny.

He can be very sweet though admittedly. He wants to take me shopping at the weekend and get me a posh maternity outfit from Formes despite the fact I'll barely be 6 weeks. On the downside he also wants to buy me dungarees.

bigcar · 03/10/2008 10:38

Oooh, dungarees, ala 70's stylee?! Can sympathise with the dh thing, mine thinks he's funny too, keeps reminding me how OOOOOLD I am. Seems to chinese takeways will be doing well tonight, can't wait!

Just realised I've not added myself to the list, oops.

VickyJane77 · 03/10/2008 12:05

Hello, I really want a chinese now....yum.
The docs went really well today, I saw a newly qualified, as my GP is booked up till Novemeber.
She was so nice and asked if I wanted to continue seeing her, as my GP is fully booked, so I agreed.
She's booked me in for my first appt. to take bloods etc on the 14th, i'll only be 6 and half weeks.
My symptoms so far are mild nausea, tingly boobs now and then, and tiredness in the afternoons, so much that if I'm home I'll have a sleep.
Just added some details to the list;

adie3 · 03/10/2008 15:51

Hi ladies, sorry but I have to bow out of this one. Began bleeding yesterday morning and have continued to do so. I would only have been 5wks and did feel a wee bit nervous anyway because of the BFP line getting fainter instead of stronger. We are really disappointed despite being a bit shocked in the first place. Just having to get extra special hugs from the rest of my gang.

Anyway I really wish all you lovely ladies all the very best with your precious cargo, take care

VickyJane77 · 03/10/2008 16:02

I'm so sorry aidie, I've been there, and it's what I worry about the most.
Take care, and hopefully you will be joining another antenatal link soon enough.
Sending you lots of hugs {{{{{{{{}}}}}}}

Jools1 · 03/10/2008 16:20

You have my sympathy Adie - it happened to me on Cycle 1 TTC. Here I am on Cycle 3 and now 6 weeks PG, so there is a lot of hope and I am sure we will see you on an Antenatal thread very soon.

llynnnn · 03/10/2008 17:06

Adie - sooooo sorry to hear this sad news. take care of yourself and I wish you lots and lots of luck for ttc in the future x

summerbird · 03/10/2008 19:21

MrsMcJnr · 03/10/2008 23:23

Sending hugs Jools, us lucky ones who have few symptoms always want more to verify things. How many weeks are you now? Maybe the hormones are changing. Positive thinking hon, it does work x

Bigcar ? that?s funny about the tea, last time it was bacon I couldn?t stand the smell of!

Llynnn ? I know what you mean about the self-harming of the boobs, no wonder they hurt after that! That BFP sounds very big!!!

Hey Daisy congrats hon!!!! I will come and find you all!

Littlesarah ? love Formes lets hope they don?t have any dungarees

We had an Indian tonight

Vickyjane ? glad the appointment went well

Adie I am so sorry hon, sending a huge hug, been where you are and it?s such a lonely place xxx

Jools1 · 04/10/2008 03:27

Still paranoid here

I was cold, tired and thought I could just about feel, or was maybe imagining low level nausea this evening but I had a feeling my boobs weren't as sore tonight - woke up at around 2am and they feel like they have deflated quite considerably - still a little tender but nothing like before.

This has worried me so much, I can't sleep and I've been googling for info, as I thought the sore boobs were the one symptom that would definitely stay put.

Dont know what to think now - another HPT may well not tell me anything concrete, so I'm thinking maybe I won't tell my mum on Sunday after all.

I guess all I can do, assuming symptoms don't return by Monday, is ask for HCG blood levels to be checked I think it may be a looooonnnnngggggg weekend.

SpangleMaker · 04/10/2008 10:13

Sorry for nosing & gatecrash, just wanted to say Jools please don't worry about the lack of sore boobs, mine stopped hurting ages ago and all was well at the scan last week at least! Symptoms do come and go and are not a reliable indication of anything.

Hope you're feeling better this morning - things alwasy seem worse in the middle of the night. Please try not to worry x

summerbird · 04/10/2008 10:55

Hiya spangles you come and join our party anytime! How are you and your little bean?

jools i agree with spangles, try not to worry too much, my boobs arent sore every night i have had a few days of sore bbs then the last coupla nights they have been fine. as spangles has said the symptoms come an go so please dont worry hun

my cold is a bit better today - i am going to go for a walk into town for some fresh air and maybe a cheeky latte!! (my first proper coffee in a week)

x
