thanks for the lovely welcome everyone!

Just got back from a long walk with ds in the woods but dont even feel achey 'down there'. will this baby ever decide to come out?? (i'm not even due yet but stupidly assumed i would be at least a few days early as its my 2nd...doh)

Whoever posted that recipe for refridgerator cake...wow...it had me drooling. think it might be a bit lethal, i can imagine eating the whole lot in one go!

4andnotout · 26/09/2008 14:16

Im not evening thinking about my due date (26th) as dd1 was 5 days late, and dd3 was 4 days late so i dont think she will early.

WombFor1More · 26/09/2008 14:17

Oooh Perky I'm with you at the top

Bit too real now.

I had my scan this morning. Was just to check on his growth as dd was big. He is measuring over 8lbs but she said he looks very chubby so will prob be about same as dd, she was 9lb 4oz. So much for my little bubba then!! Not looking forward to this.

She hurt a lot more than my ds1 & 2, I'm having a rethink on the HB now and might just head for hos as soon as I get that first twinge

Right have to go as dd is very unwell with bad cough cold and asthma atm so possible we will have to take her to hos later Just waiting to call docs back now.

AJ hope this is it for you

1sttimer80 · 26/09/2008 14:21

Hi All, just checking in.

Welcome to plusonemore, Bethoo... wow! lol your New DP sounds exciting and had be glued to MN more than usual!

Congrats to the new mummies!!!

Like some of you, not been sleeping very well, am now 39+1 day and have my induction booked if I go post dates (how scary is that?!) DH doesn't finish work til Tuesday so we're hoping the LO stays secure for a few days so DH can be nice and relaxed for the experience!

Last night at about 4am really really thought I was going into labour as felt the most awful BHs, but haven't had a show or waters breaking yet. Plus disappeared after I had a sneaky jam on toast and a glass of milk, when what I really wanted was a glass of wine!

Not sure how you second timers/third timers+ cope with all this and having other LOs to look after already (including DPs!)... I bow down to you !!!

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 14:37

tis fecking knackering 1sttimer

but worth it!

WheresTheAuPair · 26/09/2008 14:43

Hi ladies- just got back from an indoor play session with DS. As he's now bouncing with rude health I thought i'd better take him out after a week indoors. Silly me had visions of a nice cup of tea while he played happily in the ball pit.

Hmm. The reality was a very persistent DS ("mummeeeyy I want daaaaa!"- whilst patting the floor next to him) and so this is how he got me crawling at over 8 months PG through a series of tubes to play in ball pit with him and up a complicated series of levels, slides and tubes! Lol so glad I didn't get stuck!

Bless him he's fast asleep on sofa now so cute. Days like this make me want more of them!

hedgepig · 26/09/2008 14:50

good grief girls! I've only been away for an hr or so an we have another page and a half. Just saw the mw all OK, just waiting now. I was very irritable yesterday though something may be happening but it's not, I don't know why I want this LO out since we are still decorating and I have no where for it to sleep.
sparkles I have packed my bg but then you have the problem of where to store it whihc I hadn't thought of before at least when the stuff was in the cupboard I didn't have to climb over it get into bed. Your mention of P'borough made me check out where you were, I'm in Cambs too (S.Cambs toward Royston). Are you going to the Rosie?

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 14:53

i've got stuff all over the bedroom so know what you mean about climbing over it all

i'll be going into hinchingbrooke, its closer to me than the rosie

sambrads · 26/09/2008 14:59

hi i suppose you all ve been out getting your ingredients

i am not a big fan of sweet stuff but my dh loves it i am a fully qualified chef and just love cooking but not to fond of the baking

ajm are you ok honey??? sounds like things might be happenng

i have been out shopping and now lying up and relaxing .

bethoo if i were you i would take it out of the box and check thats its all there and in good condition and not broken i seen the vibe while out today its beautiful

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 15:15

Hi ladies, can't get comfy to rest and DS is up so I have to get up too.

Suspect this has more to do with takeaway veggie pizza than baby. We NEVER have junk food but really couldn't be bothered last night and bought pizza in for the first time in years. Feel really rough.. each trip to the loo brings on a strong BH (pressure not pain) and crampy backache. Hopefully as it is something I've eaten, it'll clear soon.

jenwa · 26/09/2008 15:47

plusonemore Hi there, another worcester mum!!! Thats 2 of us on here then!

Cant believe we are already on page 3!!!! All us mums on maternity leave now!

Hope you feel better soon ajm

My DD has been driving me insane, wants sweeties all day! Constant voive in the background....aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! how many times can you say "no"

sambrads cake sounds fab, will def be making that!!!

plusonemore · 26/09/2008 15:57

Hi jenwa! you going to the royal? Am just hoping they get rid of the norovirus before i'm there!

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 16:01

After reading your notes, I've been timing these bouts on contraction master. Started at 45 mins and have gradually got more frequent and are now at 25 mins... the last few have been regular and haven't been accompanied by an upset tummy..

Not getting too excited... but maybe Nothing to panic about yet though. Bet they die out now I've written this..

pepperrabbit · 26/09/2008 16:03

Afternoon all, wow - how many messages already!
ajm, hope you feel better soon - takeaway pizza always makes me really really thirsty as they're so salty I find - try lots of water?
Quote of the week from DS1 (to cheer up anyone worried by weight gain..
"Mummy, your babybump has moved to the back!!"
Me. "No, that's Mummys BOTTOM!"

heather1980 · 26/09/2008 16:04

god you ladies can chat!!
nearly killed DD this morning, she decided to empty her toy box everywhere and then threw a strop when i put it all away. she is turning into a teenager at 23 months!! then i've been subjected to mickey mouse club house dvd ALL day, please kill me now!!

good news is my surestart grant came through today so the money should be in the account on tuesday.

and i have cravings for pizza, DD off to grandmas for the night so a relaxing night tonight i hope and a lie in tomorrow, i can't wait!!

pepperrabbit · 26/09/2008 16:04

ooh, X posts ajm perhaps this is it!! .
Much more exciting than a dodgy pizza!

Sallypuss · 26/09/2008 16:13

Just popping in to say hi and to CSWS please don't cull me. Congrats to all who've had their babies . All well here, if enormous - mat leave starts in 5 days and counting

jenwa · 26/09/2008 16:16

plusonemore yes the Royal!!! Wanted home birth with DD1 and it never went well and ended up in hosp so will be going there this time . I work there too so even more (not on maternity ward though).
Would much rather be in the comfort of my own home. But yes def hoping to be in and out as I dont want the bugs going around up there!!!!

ajm Ohhhhhhh exciting........maybe this is it???!!!!!!

WheresTheAuPair · 26/09/2008 16:17

LOL at pepperabbit -that's so funny!

ajm fingers crossed for you. Much better to go naturally than induced imo.

WTAP Highfives heather1980! Have just dropped DS off to his grandma and grandads too. DS happy as they are his most favorite people ever. I am happy as I plan to have a date with DH (first time since oo about Feb!). Have actually booked a table at a lovely turkish restaurant (fab seafood cooked on coal BBQ mm) but actually quite fancy a curry. Does anyone else get put off going for a curry at this late stage? It just seems to clichéd- heavily PG woman waddling in for a curry?! Don't want to get the same horrified looks from the waiters as I do the lifeguards at the local swimming pool lol hmmm.

1sttimer80 · 26/09/2008 16:53

After the recipe that got posted had an urge for M&S chocolate cornflake things... went through half a tub and now thinking maybe I shouldn't have ! felt good though... could have easily finished the whole thing !!

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 16:56

Yay! DP is coming home early tonight he will be home by 6pm

we haven't seen him all week as he's been away on business [excited emoticon]

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 17:52

OK ladies, looks like this is it. OMG! Down to 15 mins apart and definately much stronger, longer. Pain is still low level cramps but the pressure is getting fairly strong.

Called DH home as he is an hour away but he told me that he can't finish up for another hour so I'll have to hold on. Have a friend on standby to take DS and get me to hospital. This might end in divorce - he's unbelievable..

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 17:55

Good Luck

I really hope this is it for you x

star6 · 26/09/2008 17:56

Yeah ajm!!!! Best wishes!!! I hope this is it and that your DH gets himself home NOW.

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 18:00
