Morning all
Bethoo your new dp sounds lovely and thoughtfull!
DD2 has come back from playschool with dp as she didn't want to stay there today, so now dp,dd2 and dd3 are wrestling on the floor under my feet! I have loads of ironing to do today but i havent even got dressed yet!
I ordered loads from vertbaudet last night using all the promotional codes and saved about 40 quid and got 2 free gifts and free delivery! Didn't order anything for the new baby as she already has far too much!
I really must go and get dressed now and hang this washing out!

sambrads · 26/09/2008 10:42

helo plusnemore i decided to stay on this thread from the strat as i just knew i would end up having an october baby but you are very welcome and veryone is so lovely

4outandabout thats a really good savings were did you get all your promotion codes???
ajm not sure if i should give you the recipe as its so nice and you will look pregnant forever if you make them all the time hahahaha !!!

its 100g butter
225g malteasers
225g crushed digestives
3 tablespoons of golden syrup
200g cooking chocolate

melt chocolate butter and syrup in a bowl over hot water then add malteasers and biscuits and put in a swiss roll tray put in frdge over night then take out and drizzle some white choclate over the top leave for 30 mins then square up

they are so sweet ad delicious

bethoo · 26/09/2008 11:24

good god sambrads i think i could eat the ingredients as they are!

bethoo · 26/09/2008 11:25

ooh my Phil and Teds Vibe has arrived so will pick it up on monday after my midwife appointment! excited. will not take it out box til baby comes home as dont want to jinx it!

hedgepig · 26/09/2008 11:59

Hi plusanonemore you are most welcome.
Bethoo how exciting about the phil n teds arriving. That reminds me my buggy hasn't moved for about 2 yrs (DS now 5) so I need to check it over, I defiantly need to change the inner tubes and they have perished , maybe a job for this afternoon.

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 12:02

Bethoo Sounds like you need to borrow my chickens, they are really good mousers and eat what they catch so no mess.. You might have to bash the poor little thing over the head to put it out of its misery.

With so much activity planned, I guess you not likely to go overdue.

DS has taken to sympathy crying whenever a small baby at playgroup starts to cry. Could be interesting when LO arrives.

I'd love to go to the Next sale but its hard enough getting near the racks without a bump so will probably give it a miss this time round as I can't be bothered with the battle of the elbows.

Star Don't be surprised if your DH turns into a panicking quivering mess when you go into labour and you end up supporting him. First time dads are hilarious as long as you aren't the one in labour

4andnotout · 26/09/2008 12:04

Sambrands i used all the codes from the promotional codes threads!

bethoo · 26/09/2008 13:02

ajm i thought chickens just ate seeds? that may be something i could get in the future. the mice are not from the garden though and always end up in my living room waiting at the door for me! sadly the little mouse died this morning poor thing. the cat had skinned half its tail off so it had no skin, just cant being myself to kill them. well 1 out of 3 mice has survived to tell the tale so not that bad i guess
i m shattered but got to pick up little man soon then put my hair in curlers and have a bath (and shave) and feed little man and glam up all by 7! guess i will not be getting my 2 hour nap with ds!

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 13:07

I don't know how you manage to keep your social life going so late in pregnancy.. right now my main love affair is with my bed.. DH running a close second. I'm so impressed. Have a wonderful night out.

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 13:10

can you still shave yourself bethoo i am impressed

i can just about manage my legs and underarms but have told dp that he will have to help me wax my bikini line this weekend as i can no longer see enough to do it! probably tmi there sorry

bethoo · 26/09/2008 13:13

it si just pot luck/hit and miss when i shave down there! i tend to go completely bald sorry if TMI! so just shave down there randomly hoping for the best! i tend to see the horror i have created when i glimpse it through half closed eyes in the bedroom mirror! last labour it looked like i had alopecia as i had managed to shave the inside yet missed the actual bikini line so it was a reverse brazilian!

07mumstheword · 26/09/2008 13:16

Bethoo I was told once that cats bring things like mice and birds in as presents for their owners as very proud of their pray and want to share it with you. I've told my cats I'd rather have chocolate Have a good weekend whatever you end up doing.

Sambrads That recipe sounds delicious may have to try that one out

ajm I'm impressed with your chickens it must be so nice to go and collect fresh eggs.

Welcome plusonemore Hello to everyone else hope all is well.

bethoo · 26/09/2008 13:18

i know and i guess i should be flattered! it always tends to be when i am preggers though so obviously they dont think i am eating enough! the first time i woke to a dead mouse was when i was pregnant with ds. i just wish that they would put them out of their misery first instead of letting thm suffer.

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 13:27

pmsl @ reverse brazilian

rosebury · 26/09/2008 13:31

oh bethoo where the hell do you find the energy to glam up good god I can hardly move at the moment good luck to you girl.

Thanks for the new thread csws you are so organised.

Had a good nights sleep which was a nice surprise but I am still feeling like shit i must be going into labour soon get ready for tmi but I have terrible constipation type pains very low in my tummy but I keep going to the loo and pooing I think the babies head is causing a lot of pressure which is restricting my bowel have drank lots of water and eaten fruit all morning without any relief I am simply very uncomfortable it cannot carry on much longer on the positive side my backache has eased off. saw midwife this morning and the head is now 2/5 down so maybe I will pop very soon.

On the subject of pg brain I poured a cup of water over my toast the other morning.

sorry for the moan and thanks for listening/reading.

perkypopsy · 26/09/2008 13:33

OHMYGODIMATTHETOPOFTHELIST
Not expecting to have this baby anytime soon - surely the second-timers will be first?

Welcome plusonemore I came on here with a 3rd Oct due date which was changed to 29/09 after my scan but decided to stay as I knew everyone here and didn't want to be last to pop on the Sept thread . You'll love it here - bethoo keeping us all glued to the laptops with her Irish totty

Bethoo It is very unlikely that you'll catch anything nasty at the petting farm, however, I was at my work farm a couple of weeks ago and they kept me away from the animals and were very strict about bottom of shoes and washing hands (they are usually very relaxed so I was suprised)- problem is it will be harder for your to keep your DS clean so that he doesn't pass anything on to you - maybe take some of that hand santiser with you and bag-up dirty shoes when you get back in the car? I know it sounds over the top - but better safe than sorry at this point!

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful sunshine - think I'll get my arse off sofa and go for a walk along river and try out my new chill out early labour playlist on my ipod (I also have done a playlist for the second stage - you know the songs that keep you on the treadmill that little bit longer - baby is bound to be born to smack my bitch up or fire starter ha ha)

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 13:37

When I had cats they used to bring in live grasshoppers that were noisy, impossible to find and took about 4 days to dies.

The weirdest one was a large, hot steak. I guess one of the neighbours was having a barbie/supper outside and left their plate unattended.

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 13:38

have you all packed your hospital (those of you who are going into hospital anyway!) bags yet?

i still have 4 weeks to go but didn't get round to packing one with DS3 as he came earlier than i thought he would......maybe i should have a think about doing it next week

4andnotout · 26/09/2008 13:47

Sparkles i have bought most of the contents for my bag, and pinched a gorge weekender bag from my mum but it's not packed yet. I also havent got any of the clothes out yet, or sorted out the crib....i did buy a pack of newborn nappies though so surely im prepared!!

ajm200 · 26/09/2008 13:51

Signing off for a while, seem to be coming down with an upset tummy that's triggering horrible BHs. Had to rush to the loo every half hour or so for the last few hours.. DS has been dumped in bed and I'm off to lie down.

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 13:53

lol Olive i bought a couple of packs of nappies the other day too

i went shopping with my mum to peterborough the other day and she bought the 'going home' outfit for the baby (actually we bought one pink and one blue outfit )

its starting to feel a bit rl now

sparklesandnowinefor4weeks · 26/09/2008 13:54

oooh ajm you never know this could be the start!!

4andnotout · 26/09/2008 13:55

We bought the coming home outfit last week, it's bad as it's the only new outfit we have bought her as dd3 had boxes and boxes of clothes!
I counted that i have 35 newborn and small cloth nappies..so i have obviously been buying somethings for her!!

perkypopsy · 26/09/2008 13:56

aj sounds like labour to me

4andnotout · 26/09/2008 14:04

aj My labour with dd1 started off with what i thought was a stomach upset but was actually my body purging ready for labour.
