plus
i was probably awake at the same time...but i've been tossing and turning like crazy. i've only just now thrown in the towel and opened the laptop. just wanna sleep!!

oh, just remembered, oops! sorry but i think i was supposed to post a recipe for IL2MIMI...sorry i havent remembered! will do later today!

righty, suppose i will head over to the games site i am usually wasting time on!

mum2bagain · 23/09/2008 07:00

Morning all - managed to get a bit of sleep last night. Usually I'm up at 3a with raging heartburn, but I had a hot bath and dosed myself up with gaviscon before I got in bed at midnight, think I was just exhausted tho.

Well my due date has been and gone, I hate the not knowing. I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow and hopefully she'll tell me everything is fine and they are happy to leave me. Have a great day everyone. x

Was going to do some celaning today, but think I might rest instead...feel very crampy and uncomfy. Sofa here I come!!!

Have a good day x

Sounds promising becaroo

I'm going to see the dr this morning about my eternal vomit inducing cough (5 weeks now) and excessive knicker dampness - fun way to spend my morning!

I'll definitely join the keeping baby in club, Pidge, at least til the weekend, and even better for a week after if we can get the kitchen underway. Though I'm getting so fed up with trekking to Kings which takes 3-4 hours round trip including waiting to see someone. I have to go twice this week, for a cardiac appointment Wednesday, then the mw Friday

splishsplosh · 23/09/2008 09:49

Oh, and good luck with the meeting today Leonie, hope you make progress with getting the statement for your dd

MunkiMom · 23/09/2008 10:04

morning gals
only managed to get another hour of sleep after posting in the 5am this morning. so naturally, exhausted, as plusone and others are, im sure!

during last pregnancy, developed carpal tunnel early on. and its coming back again...i couldnt use my right hand at all for the most of the morning. also, i suspect i'm developing a little case of spd.
the pain in pelvic area like when getting in the shower, getting dressed, up the stairs, getting outta bed...its gradually worsening.
but i am grateful to some extent, as its only happening so close to the end of pregnancy.
sorry for those who have experienced it for so long in their pregnancy.

i think im gonna spend the day chilling as much as possible. im really excited about my consult appt/internal tomorrow. kinda curious to know if im at all dilated or what!

hope you all take it easy today, and those who are pushing to get baba out soon, give that bely a good jiggle, eh?!? :p

((recipe coming very soon, ILTMIMI))

plusonemore · 23/09/2008 10:09

aah munki hopefully it wont be long now and then your aches and pains will ease

plusonemore · 23/09/2008 10:22

my hospital (WRH) is in the news today as it has 14 wards closed due to sickness bug- possibly norovirus. Brilliant. Maybe a home birth after all..

Becaroo where abouts in east midlands are you? I'm originally from Loughborough. (can you tell I'm running out of things to do? Am looking at peoples profiles hee hee)

MunkiMom · 23/09/2008 10:34

plusone
oh nooo!! scary to hear news like that! especially when you are about to pop!!!
you'd sooner have the baby in the back seat of a car! well, probably not really....but you know what i mean.

becaroo · 23/09/2008 10:39

plusonemore I am originally from Castle Donington and still only live about 4 miles down the road!

I know Loughborough very well as I went to secondary school in Shepshed and spent many a night in the clubs and pubs of Loughborough when I was in the 6th form

Sorry to hear the news about your local hospital - what is the alternative for you????

Pidge · 23/09/2008 10:40

I had stopped even looking at the days to go list, but just accidentally caught a glimpse and saw that I am on 4 till EDD!! Gulp. Still feel today like the baby is sitting very, very low. So I'm planning to take life relatively easy. I'm planning to make bolognese for the freezer, then fit in a swim (midwife said that's great for encouraging a posterior baby to turn), then a bit of knitting before I pick up from school. Hmmm ... suddenly that sounds quite busy.

Splishsplosh - I'd forgotten you were having to trek to Kings. What a bore. I am just round the corner by the way, well, about 10 minutes on a bus. And I'm with you on the timings. If baby can stay put till Sunday that would be great, another 4-6 days after that would be even better Are you listening baby bump? . But for the first time, people have started looking at my bump and saying, ooh that baby is not going to wait much longer!

MelT76 · 23/09/2008 11:27

Just had another MW appt and another sweep She said that my cervix is nearly fully effaced and has written Os 2cm in my notes. Does this mean things will get moving soon? I bloody hope so!

Got another appt on Monday (my birthday) and then induction booked for a week on Thursday if he's still not here.

Think I might have to try Starlight's battenburg method!

plusonemore · 23/09/2008 11:39

hopefully the maternity wards are ok, it hasnt actually said on the news which wards are closed. not sure if it will mean restricted visitors tho?

Becaroo i spent a lot of time in shepshed too as my best mate lived there between bout 1988-90! My family all still live that way, mostly rothley now so still round and about!

plusonemore · 23/09/2008 11:40

How was the sweep MelT76? never had one and not sure how i feel bout it

bogie · 23/09/2008 11:47

Hi everyone just poppe on to see how you are all doing.
Congratulations to all that have had their little ones, and I hope all you that are over due get yours soon and that you arn't getting too fed up.
I was over due with ds1 and it drove me mad just waiting around thinking when is he going to show up!
I put some pictures of Phoebe at 10 days on my profile she is a little angel feeding and sleeping well and she has put on an ounce a day since being home!!!

MelT76 · 23/09/2008 11:52

Plusonemore not that bad to be honest. I had an internal on thursday and then the sweep. the internal was more uncomfortable.

I have cramps now tho. Here's hoping it leads to proper contractions this time.

Hi All, just been for my 39 week apt and baby is 3/5 engaged! Am with you two Pidge and Splish on it coming a little later than EDD though, DP & I haven't had any time to ourselvs for ages without doing DIY etc, so could really do with a weekend of doing nothing much!

Leonie - great news for you, I hope it all kicks off and you get the birth you want!

MunkiMom · 23/09/2008 12:49

leonie
i'm having an internal tomorrow (or so the rumour goes) however, i'm afraid i won't be so lucky as you! i suspect the male doc/consult will be doing it. no chance for small hands, eh?!?! lol

ipanemagirl · 23/09/2008 13:03

Sorry I disappeared for so long!
I had a little girl on Saturday at 7 am!
Miranda
7 lbs 2 pz
I got out of hospital late on Sunday night and am still really really sore, I was induced and she came very quickly, loads of stitches but I'm so relieved it's over and she's feeding like a mighty hungry lass.
They kept us in because my waters had gone and they wanted to be sure neither of us had any infection.
Congratulations to everyone and all the best for those on the way, she's shouting for more milk so I'd better stumble off....
Phew!

mum2bagain · 23/09/2008 13:24

Sorry if tmi, but does a show come in one big blob, and have to be pinkish? I've been having gloopy stuff coming out today, but it's not pink streaked and not all at once. I've not even had a twinge apart from that, but I'm thinking if it is a show then I'm going in the right direction

mum2bagain · 23/09/2008 13:27

Congratulations ipanemagirl Hope you recover really quickly, enjoy your little one.
