Yay Rosie!

Did you think it was a boy? I take it you were hoping so!

lardybump · 10/09/2008 18:30

Congratualtions rosie that is great news... Wow I wouldn't know what to do with a blue one (do they need special nappies ) Sorry about the other bits thought...

Tink that is great about your BMI I have no idea what mine was or is now....

swampster · 10/09/2008 18:38

Get ready for an influx of testosterone into your home, rosieposey. I am kind of hoping for a girl this time after two boys - mine are so LOUD!!!

onwardandupward · 10/09/2008 18:49

Another non-car owner here It's just never been worth it, though I passed my test erm... 17 years ago. I've always lived in cities in my adult life, so I'm a walk and bus and bike and bug-inspection pace lady And stop at every icecream van too, but that's not for me, straight up guv.

Went to one of those farms plus indoor play plus outdoor play plus cafe type places today on the other side of town. Great fun and lovely and quiet now all the schools have gone back (we home ed). So I had an afternoon nap and just got into work at 630pm... flexitime is my friend!

rosieposey · 10/09/2008 18:52

Lol swampster DP said when he found out 'ohhh reinforcements' - so hes sooo chuffed. Im really happy tink but i thought it was a girl and after 16 years of them its just so, well, weird. To think of having a little son ohhhh im excited and just wondering what it will be like (sounds loud lol - but dd's are loud especially when they argue!)
I was sort of hoping for a girl again but only because i knew what to do with them when she pointed out his bits and said erm can you see that i was just so shocked - and now im made up about it because if this is my last and there is a good chance it might be then i really want to experience having a son :D yay again - im so happy!

laidbackinengland · 10/09/2008 18:57

Boys are great rosie ....they do piss on the floor very muchly - but it's a small price to pay. He is going to be doted on by his big sisters I'm sure ! An ex partner of mine had 4 older sisters and he didn't speak until he was 5 as his sisters did EVERYTHING for him !!

rosieposey · 10/09/2008 19:08

LMAO laidback - im looking forward to some random pissing and i think your right about the girls mollycoddling this poor boy - hey but at least i will get lots of babysitting offers

oooggs · 10/09/2008 19:31

laidback... oh yes to the boys and floor (ds1 is a nightmare)

boys are great but my dd is the most loving at the moment. She is just going to rule her 3 brothers

spottyshoes · 10/09/2008 19:33

Hi everyone!! Great title. Back from Whitby and it was orrible i have had really bad headaches and my first ever nosebleed!!! Been sick lots too On a positive note my lil bro suprised the hell out of me by arriving home from his round the world travels a few weeks early on Sunday - yay! He is so brown and hairy!!!!

Congratulations Rosie!!!! Lil boys really are fab. They also pee into their own mouths when you change their nappy

I dont know much about FB, Only have a dozen friends as I used it to see my brothers pics whilst he was away. Random people from school that I never spoke to keep messaging me so I have to constantly ignore everything! Not sure how to join groups

oooggs · 10/09/2008 19:38

sorry you had a bad time. I do love Whitby though (long way from me) we were last there August 2007 and I had to buy winter clothes for the kids

spottyshoes · 10/09/2008 20:02

Lol that sounds about right! It bucketed down the whole time

MarkStretch · 10/09/2008 20:21

Spotty yay you're back! Parp Parp!

Ooooff I have just eaten a lot of pizza.
Been out for a colleagues leaving do and had a drop of wine too. Feel extremely bloated. Took dd with me as DH was working til late but at least it gave me a chance to put some slap on and straighten my hair and look half decent for once. My colleague is leaving to become a midwife so I have promised to text her the minute I am in labour and update her on my cervix dilation

Have walked about 6 miles today and my arse ache is back so am shortly off to bed to lie down with pillow between legs.

Oh yeah, wore my new maternity jeans today- they have stretchy panels in the side. HOW annoying are they? I spent the whole walk to school yanking them up round my ears!

mrsy · 10/09/2008 20:44

markstretch - hate hate hate maternity jeans. those dungarees are calling me so loudly!

my family are so mad that we're having a girl - they all thought she was a he, only i was convinced ha ha! and she'll be the fourth girl in a row of the next generation, but they are loop-de-loop and want the three of us to live in a giant pink marshmallow!!!!

i pretty chuffed 'cos i went on the wii yesterday, and i've put on a pound in the last 11 weeks, so all the vommiting was not in vain!!!!!
