Hi everyone back from scan yay! All went fine - he is definately a he too (i made her check again and theres no mistake) and it looks as if alls in perfect working order.

TBM am so glad Tink is out of hospital now and on the mend.

MS sorry you are having one of those days - bleddy moany people eh?

Neeerly3 i get that all the time so added to DP's lovely snores its all conducive to a great nights sleep (not). Im not sure what it is as i got it when i wasnt pregnant too and it comes and goes - i thought that if it was carpel tunnel syndrome it might be a bit more persistant.

Laidback i want a 4d scan after 26 weeks as i have heard they are great enjoy!

dinkystinky · 02/10/2008 17:17

Glad Tink is on the mend and that Rosie's scan went well.

Just got asked by my head of department (admittedly abit of a vague gent at the best of times) if I had thought about having baby no 2 yet... Just looked down at my rather large bump and said, "well yes, but bless you for not noticing"...

lardybump · 02/10/2008 17:47

Ladies just reading another thread and they are talking about GF in relation to feeding. What does this mean??

KazzaL · 02/10/2008 17:59

LB - they could be talking about Gluten-Free?

TBM - glad to hear that Tink is doing better and will be out of hosp soon

PinkTulips · 02/10/2008 18:07

Gina bloody Ford

let the baby cry it out if it's 'only looking for attention', routines from birth and controlled crying as soon as baby attempts to disrupt your lovely ordered life.

lardybump · 02/10/2008 18:20

Oh I see. So they were just going to let the baby screem all night and not feed it then........ nice

TBM - so glad Tink is better. That is such great news
Pink Tulips - was just inspired by your post to tweak my nips and there is just the faintest trace of it there.
Looking forward to curry tonight - can't decide between tandoori chicken/chicken tikka plus dish of veg gloop or just a gloopy curry.
Decisions, decisions.
have had the most stressful couple of days - basically DS decided he HATED the child minder I'd organized to pick him up from school 3 days a week and registered his dislike by pooing himself (in school and in her care) and generally freaking out.

I'm not sure what she'd done as he's been with other childminders before and had a great time. I think it's the combo of moving from a very relaxed nursery to a more structured environment and I feel like a terrible person for inflicting so much change on him.

She basically told me she didn't want to look after him yesterday and I just decided to knock it on the head asap. I'd paid her upfront for the 3 days and am therefore out of pocket. I couldn't face having an argument with her over £35 so just let it lie.

Luckily a friend's former au pair is staying with her and looking for work and she came over today - I had no choice but to go out as I'd committed myself to doing a 3 hour teaching session. DH was in the house (working flat out) so I felt OK about leaving him with her.

In the event they got on well and there was only one accident. I cannot tell you upset this whole experience has made me - it's also made me realise how lucky I've been up until now.

At least the students were fun, even if a couple were a little on the "feisty" side.

mslucy · 02/10/2008 18:45

sorry about long ranty post and glad your scan went well rosie.

biscuity - boys may be cuddly but they are also grubby and smelly and a NIGHTMARE to potty train.

mrsy · 02/10/2008 18:45

hi all. have just spent 25 mintues reading the last 4 pages! am going to order myself a nice stinky seafood pizza, and then will be back!

mslucy · 02/10/2008 19:19

going for tandoori chicken plus sag paneer.
picking up in 10.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

MarkStretch · 02/10/2008 19:24

Hi all

Glad that silly day of work is done.

TBM- so glad she is on the med- it must be a weight off your mind.

I have been christmas shopping....

I know, I know, but I found a few bargains I just had to get so they are going away under the bed and there will be no more talk of the C word.

That's Christmas by the way, not the other C word.

Pink- nice to hear about milky norks! I am waiting to wake up in a puddle...

Rosie- glad the scan went well, I am having another at 28 weeks and definitely going to get them to check it's a boy again!

TBM- obviously I meant on the 'mend'.

Now I have visions of Tink of a cruise ship sipping pina coladas...

oooggs · 02/10/2008 19:32

glad to hear Tink is getting better

don't know about two girls (as only have one) but would have welcomed another as she is a dream, the boys are harder but are more rewarding - if that makes any sense at all

I wonder how she is going to feel about have 3 brothers I'm sure she will take it in her stride and still be the boss

mrsy · 02/10/2008 19:36

i love pizza - yum! stinky salty anchovies and gooey stretchy cheese (and onion rings - shhhh!) plus a glass of wine and strictly come dancing it takes two - what more could i want?

apart from my husband to share it all with? sniff.

lardybump · 02/10/2008 19:53

I went to leeds castle today and did a lot of walking. I now feel like someone is kicking me up the bum with large heavy boots on....... ouch.......

mrsy · 02/10/2008 20:06

lb - where in maidstone are you? i realised i never got back to you about meeting up - sounds like a great idea.

MarkStretch · 02/10/2008 20:18

I am craving a Mars Bar...

Jelliebaby · 02/10/2008 20:24

Hi all, not been on for ages and just trying to catch up.

I'm 21 weeks and still feeling very sick, i have faced up to the fact that im probably not gonna feel better till baby is born, it has put me off having any more!!

On a brighter note, I had my scan on Mon - all was well and i am expecting another girl, so very pleased, it will save me a fortune. Having another scan in 8 weeks to check growth as i have high bp and usually that means small baby (although dd was 9lb 1)

Hope everyone is well, it all seems to be going very fast for us..

PinkTulips · 02/10/2008 20:31

it'll go even faster with xmas to distract us for the next few months thank god.

i do love my babies but i'd forgotton how much i dislike being pregnant!

mrsy · 02/10/2008 20:52

mmm - mars bar. guess i'll have to make do with either:

bread and butter pudding
or
tart aux poivre
or
creme brulee
or
panna cotta
or
more pizza!

MarkStretch · 02/10/2008 21:03

I made do with a nun penguin.

It wasn't the same.

Mrsy- do you live in a patisserie?

Can I have some creme brulee please?

OP posts:
mrsy · 02/10/2008 21:12

hmm - 'fraid not MS, I just bought a whole load of goodies baddies from m&s the other day! passes MS some creme brulee, nicely bruleed

mrsy · 02/10/2008 21:14

why can't i do the "passes thingy the thing" thing?
