He he he Mrs W...do like to shock

Don't think the spelling matters much, I'm sure you can have either...or maybe you could be like my dad who couldn't spell my sister's name when he went to register her birth and made it up so she truely has an original name

Uwila · 10/02/2005 12:01

I have a mild horror story for the day. DD woke this morning at 5:00 screaming. Totally out of character. Generally gets up around 6:00 or 6:30 -- whenever I make it in there to get her up. So, I got an email from the nanny at about 11:00 today saying she found a dead mouse in DD's cot... No wonder she wanted to get up at 5:00...

teabelly · 10/02/2005 12:11

Arrhh ! Mouse takes me back to last year when we had a couple...poor little thing tho, in her bed, eek

JonahB · 10/02/2005 13:14

Hi KVG, lovely to have another girl!! However, you've owned up to your first fatal flaw on MN. Our DH's/DP's must never get their own way under any circumstance. No matter how often you get your way, as a pgt partner, you are ALWAYS RIGHT. This is the basis to my successful and understanding marriage . However, we'll let you off this once....

Uwila, your poor DD. How horrid. I can't remember, do you have cats? The only time we've had mice in the house (dead and alive, the latter are worse) is due to various moggies.

Uwila · 10/02/2005 14:19

The really curious thing is just how did this mouse meet it's death under the covers? I mean it must have been alive when it got there. Did it suffocate, or did my sweet angel kill it in a moment of sef defense? And she looks like such a nice innocent little girld, doesn't she... Just you wait 'til gets hold of the football team we are all brewing... Oh my.

Okay, perhaps I should work today. Just met DH for a 2 hour lunch.

MrsWednesday · 10/02/2005 14:28

The same thought crossed my mind when I read your message Uwila.

Can't have been nice for your DD (or the mouse for that matter).

Lippy, are you ok? You've been very quiet since yesterday.

Wish I was craving fruit, it's everything but at the moment. Have got a couple of apples to eat but really can't face them. I want something stodgy and unhealthy instead.

How's everyones' appetite? Are you eating much more than before? I am constantly hungry (and therefore constantly eating...)

Lua · 10/02/2005 14:47

I have been hungry, but I wouldn't say any more or less than usual... I am always hungry!
I am having a hard time eating though, having lots of heartburn and indigestion feelings....
I am also already having a really hard time sleeping... I feel this tingly in my leg all the time that makes me very unsettled and want to be moving around.
I do sound like I am 9 months pregnant don't I?

MrsWednesday · 10/02/2005 14:52

Lua, I'm the same - permanently hungry, pregnant or not. I joke that I'll have 'See, I told you I was starving' on my gravestone. But now it seems that even when I've eaten a big meal I could carry on and eat more.

And yes, you do sound 9 months pregnant!

Lua · 10/02/2005 14:55

MrsW I like your gravestone, can I plagiarize you?

MrsWednesday · 10/02/2005 15:03

You may plagiarise me Lua (I nicked it off Spike Milligan - his version was 'I told you I was ill').

Yep, plenty of vitamin C in jaffa cakes KVG. Very healthy indeed.

JonahB · 10/02/2005 15:21

Oh g-d that is so funny. The death of the mouse was puzzling me too. Did she cuddle it to death, or merely give it a mousey heart attack by frightening it?

Mrs Wed/Lua, I agree, I?m always constantly hungry, but I seem to currently have the capacity for eating vast quantities without getting full. I suffer from indigestion, but I?m bravely soldiering though it in order to consume more. Its a hard job, but it would be wrong of me to neglect my eating duties...

teabelly · 10/02/2005 15:32

KVG, fruit, LOL! I like your thinking tho...

Aren't boys suposed to make expectant mums eat more? I'm sure I've read that somewhere...mind you I've eaten as much in this pg as I did in the last...and neither time has that been that much more than when not pg...on our first date dh said 'I like a girl who likes her food' (as I scoffed a giant plate of pasta) - not sure if he was being appreciative or being sarcastic!!

MrsWednesday · 10/02/2005 15:32

The meet-up is going to be fun then....more of an eat-up perhaps (sorry, crap joke).

Lua · 10/02/2005 15:33

Maybe the mouse fell dead from somewhere into the bed, and that is what scared DD? It is an even more gruelsome scenario... but I can't imagine your DD killing a mouse... or can she?
I am very sorry for both of them, no happy encounter no matter what the real story is!

katzguk · 10/02/2005 15:36

Afternoon all and welcome KVG!

How horrid to find a mouse!

Mrs W...glad I'm not coming then...I know I keep saying I could eat ds all up sometimes (when he's being extra cute)...but then again now that I have that thought...no, no I must rememeber I'm a veggie...!

teabelly · 10/02/2005 15:42

Katz, lovely names....intriguing...attachment... funny/rude/embarassing, if any of these then do share, he he he!

Uwila · 10/02/2005 15:46

Nice thought, Lua. But, the mouse was under the duvet. And, there was ni stink when I went into the room, so presumably the mouse had either just died, or it had not yet died.

katzguk · 10/02/2005 15:50

the email was from tessiebear and there was nothing there so was just concerned i hadn't opened a virsus hence checking she meant to send it and if not then do i need tow arn everyone in my address book!!!

Afternoon ladies!

Hi KVG - how lovely of you to unlurk with your Girl!! I love your surname by the way - sounds a bit porny

OMG Uwila - a dead mouse! poor things (dd and mouse) I wonder if dd had suffocated it? You'll have to examine it when you get home. Maybe it's been her secret friend and she screamed because she'd squashed it by mistake?

Welshie - I've got a thing for fruit and salad too at the moment - it was such a struggle to eat it in the first
trimester.

Katz/Tessie - the chinese gender guesser thingies all told me I'd be having a girl!

Tea - I like Charlie!!

MrsW - I like the Isobel spelling best
