I'm in a little discomfort at the moment. Seems I have just lost my mucous plug (just snotty looking no bloody stuff). Off to phone doc and probably head out for a while (to the hospital).

Very of all those actually with an intact sex life. I think the baby flicked a certain switch to 'off' in my case. Non-existent sex drive for months now (poor DP is a little deprived) is it just me?

On call nurse told me to rest and watch for bloody discharge, my water breaking, and/or contractions. The first two are obvious but contractions...somethings going on but is it contractions or BHs... She also told me to get loads of fluids (makes it easier for them to stick me). Just trying to gather myself as I'm ready to cry again. HORMONES DH is being a doll. He said, "now this is just the normal progression...we knew it would happen." Could just be a preview but bags are by the door.

Thanks Oops. Yes home. Bent over a chair (sounds funny but just swaying hips to help baby get in a good position) and listening to John Mayer. Can't focus on the tv so I'm just surfing the web. No labor action ... always happens that way when I put my bags by the front door.

TS - hope you're ok! this thread is getting too tense. Scary actually, I'm only two weeks behind you, and here you are with potential labour symptoms I really should start buying stuf for my hoapital bags at the least.

AnnVan, I went into false labor at 37 weeks with the last one and birthed her at 39 weeks. You never know when it's going to happen so YES time to pack a bag. Even if it's just crisp and chewing gum.

Punk you're not on our list. Would you like to be added?? I'd be happy to do that for you. Sounds like you're not too far off from seeing your little one.

Annvan there's nothing like a trip to the hospital to make you pack your bags - mine now fully packed and waiting by the door with notes on top

TS Midwife said the show meant 'not alot' and i could still be here in weeks. I'm a week behind you so hopefully she will wait a little longer.

Supposed to be in bed resting after spending the day working in my coffee shop as 'help' was useless!!!

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} TS Last night at the hospital the midwife said 'it's a girl isn't it?' before we even mentioned her apparently they start as they mean to go on! No-one having a boy seems to be having this trouble!

Yeah the oncall nurse wasn't real shocked but I've got some low pains that I'm suppose to be "watching". Can't tell if they're contractions yet. Rest and water doesn't seem to have an effect on them..which a sign they could be real. Just don't seem to be timeable though. Baby moves and goofs my attempts. DH just left to run an errand with DD....that will probably tempt fate enough to have something big happen WHILE I'M ALL ALONE.

LOL Girls don't need to cook as long as boys. Even in the womb...THEY TAKE THEIR TIME.

Just phoned DH. Told him to go get me an iPod because I this music is helping me but I can't move around with my laptop very easily.

Good luck TS and oops! I have definitely dropped - am in immense pain now if I stand or walk for more than a few minutes but don't think anything is happening like it is to you two!

Hello all - this is just a flying visit (we have visitors staying for a few days) but just wanted to a) thank TS for being a fantastic stat/thread manager (sorry your little one's already causing trouble!), congrats to all those wit CSec dates - all v exciting knowing when I imagine (my bump still seems to be breech, so may well be joining you - although sometimes it flips about and I try to feel about trying to work out WHAT ON EARTH the hards bits/squashy bits are, so could easily be wrong!) and c) have just been reading some hilarious birth stories - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1365/263007. (my first link so hope I nailed it). God, it sounds messy.... but Gas and Air are clearly a winning combination...!

Just starting to have real crampy type pains on left side. Makes walking fun. DH and DD on their way home with my little request. Goal is to get a few songs loaded then reaccess my condition. Thinking more and more about heading to the hospital to be connected to one of those lovely monitors Oops and VG have already been connected too. Hungry but NOTHING sounds eatible...so just fixed another piece of toast with a Dr. Pepper to wash it down. Baby still squirmy.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Was my last day at work on Thursday and I swear I have done more work in 4 days than I have done in 4 months . Had a nice lunch and leaving present was digital camera that I'd mentioned to boss before. So very pleased indeed.

All ok here, had ante natal on Wednesday. Was going well until MW thought baby may be breech as my bellybutton is still an innie and my belly kind of dips. But after having 3 midwifes prod and poke me, baby is right way but just back to back at the moment. So I plan to spend a lot of time on all fours over the coming 3 weeks DP should like that considering he thinks my 'Fanjo is massive with bits hanging out' his words not mine. If he thinks that's massive he can have a good look at my rear end.

Dd had a party today which we're just back from. Dh bathing her, I'll put her to bed, then we have friends coming to stay (the dh is playing for us at church as out singer and lead guitarist are both away tomorrow) - so we'll be having chinese. yum.
