Raining here too. Started as soon as I put my washing on the line. Always bloody happens!

I am having a fruit binge today, have had bananas, apples, grapes and cherries today and have nectarines for later.

DD just said to me 'Mum have you put any make up on today?'

'Yes DD'

'Oh it doesn't look like it, you look so spotty and tired...'

Thanks.

PinkTulips · 09/07/2008 13:01

pmsl. sorry

she'd get a fright if she saw me then.... look like have acne for the first time in my life

dd was babbling about xmas and birthdays and her list of presents that she wants earlier (she has stacks of toy catelogues and likes to plan ahead... quite weird for a 3 year old!) and i told her that the new baby would be here soon after her birthday. cue her shrieking.... 'the baby will see my dollshouse! 'the baby will see my dollshouse!' for half an hour

Singingintherain · 09/07/2008 13:06

Poor you MarkStretch. I know how you must feel. I never had so many spots even when I was a teenager. I never had any then. The cover up stick is out now.

LittleMissNorty - I am having my normal 12 week scan at the end of this month. The last time I had my 12 week scan in November they automatically did my Nuchal Scan without me knowing what one was. I am unsure how thorough it was or if it was a proper scan. He did take measurements and said that everything looked ok. I had so many blood tests anyway both before and after the MC. I am due a blood test the week before my scan, but I do not think I had a blood test related to the Nuchal scan last time as my blood test test was taken a while after my scan.

I am just looking at booking our holiday. Things are not going to Plan. DH has to vist UK for business but we have just been told this morning that the people he is having the meeting with are away when we are due to visit. We have got to change our dates for travel. I do not want to travel until after the 12 week scan just in case I have to have more tests. We were hoping to stay with my mother for a week and then go on to a holiday park for a week on the way to the Airport. I was looking forward to having two weeks away. We are allowed one flight home per year to visit family and I thought that it would be a goo idea to use ours in the summer as flying in the next school holiday, which are at Christmas will be difficult due to only having a few weeks to go.

I am so deperate for a holiday, just to take my mind off being sick and tired. I will have towait and see what happens. I am determined to book it today or tomorrow.

hey folks..
on the spot note- i was accosted by a woman in house of fraser and before i knew it- i had spent...well far too much money on facial products! keep looking at the reciept and shuddering! Still, i can justify it in the fact that i haven't bought anything for myself in ages and i spent a good hour in the bathroom last night putting on masks and potions. DP kept chapping the door to see if i was ok.. "I'm fine honey- i've just spent the weeks grocery budget on face cream we cant afford!"
ha oh well! I still have an angry cluster of pimples on my chin( which to be fair look less angry thanks to my cream!)
How has everyones week been? i have my scan on the 24th. drum roll please

Clarabumps · 09/07/2008 13:17

markstretch ..haha..i love the honesty of teeny females. Pink tulips- i was the same..i used to plan from july at the latest.

PinkTulips · 09/07/2008 13:21

at least she's not the only weird one then

makes shopping easy as i can get everything in october and be sure she won't change her mind... avoided xmas shopping in november and december completely last year.

MissMitford · 09/07/2008 13:28

Anyone got absolutely weep-inducing back pains at the moment? No bleeding or anything. Read all the books and then threw them across the room when they all seemed to promise that the worst is yet to come.

I know I just seem to post moans and panicky queries, but I gotta say, this whole pg thing is freakin' miserable so far. No bump to show for it, so it just feels like I'm an invalid...

Come on, join in with me and make me feel like I'm not the only ginormous breasted, achey, pukey bad tempered lady out there...

30 more weeks of this! god help me.

PinkTulips · 09/07/2008 13:36

i'll join your club MissMitford, i've never felt so wretched and miserable in my life.... as soon as one misery eases another crops up and i'm dreading the next 30 weeks.

have had back pain as well, sciatica kicking in already

MissMitford · 09/07/2008 13:41

Oh god I just looked up sciatica... I think that's what I've got.

moany mums to be R us.

Am assuming it will be all worth it when I have a scan --- but that's not to the 29th.

Singingintherain · 09/07/2008 13:44

Hi MissMitford. I suppose if we all sat and thought about all the low bits we are suffering we would have the same list too. I think that it is because when you are feeling down with one thing everything mounts up. I have had spotting for nearly two weeks, and can not stand for very long without pain or bleeding. I can not eat anything and I am covered in spots. Everything above the tummy button is a problem. Maybe try to find something to take your mind off it. I have been looking for a holiday for the past three hours on the internet and it certainly has taken my mind of wanting to be sick.

I have decided that I too am going to invest in some totally self indulgent items. I think I deserve it. I have decided that if I can sit for long enough I may even get the sewing basket out and finish my mohair bear I started dueing my last pregnancy. I always look forward to scouring the internet looking for bits to use to make them.

MarkStretch · 09/07/2008 13:46

clarabumps what did you get? I always have a red chin and I'm desperate to find something that works on it.

A face lady told me it was excema and to use E45 cream, then another face lady told me not to use it as it is too heavy for the skin on your face.

I STILL have a red chin. It looks like I have been snogging a bearded man. (I have not).

Singingintherain · 09/07/2008 13:48

MarkStretch - LOL

laidbackinengland · 09/07/2008 13:49

You poor buggers feeling ill ! I had only one retching incident today whilst washing DS3's nappies. [note to self...transfer this job to DH from now on]

Apart from that, have had some sort of weird energy rush today. Had a friend round this morning and then have been cleaning/washing/ looking out old maternity clothes for washing/cooking some meals for next week !! It's some sort of early nesting gone mad !

Markstretch - your DD sounds lovely and a mumsnetter of the future with those "full and frank" opinions !!

MissM - don't worry - you will soon have your bump (and aches and pains and indigestion and piles)...oooh the joys of being pregnant

McDreamy · 09/07/2008 13:53

Afternoon all!

Feeling ROUGH , children are entertaining themselves in the pool so at least I don't have to try too hard this afternoon.

I'm supposed to be going to a virgin vie pamper party this evening but I don't feel like going. I think the bottom line is i'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today

TinkerBellesMum · 09/07/2008 13:56

rosie, they think this treatment may get me further, but when your body and the baby is ready there's not much you can do. With Tink they gave me all the drugs and it still only took me an hour to dilate! She was coming so fast they had to give me a GA so they could get her out before she started to descend.

It is an experience to live through an NNU. We did well, having a healthy pregnancy (well, no PreE or anything) she was a good size with a head start. I can't imagine if she had come sooner or we'd been ill or something, I really felt for those parents.

I'm actually having the opposite "problem" my face has cleared up! I have a rash over my cheeks and a little on my nose normally (not sure if it's a butterfly rash from the Hughes or an immune response or what, it's not painful, just a little dry, so I don't worry too much about it) and it's gone! I'm getting away without make-up a lot more now.

MissMitford, I'm sure I had SPD pain today, but the sacro-illiac (dimples in your back) pain was one of the first indicators I was pregnant! Already had physio and she said they don't recommend exercises for it anymore, just rest, take it easy and watch your posture.

TinkerBellesMum · 09/07/2008 13:59

MissMitford, it's most likely (going on what the physio said) SPD pain causing sciatica.

Markstretch, I find Boots 17 concealer helps clear up my skin. Not sure what's in it but whatever it is made a difference.

Clarabumps · 09/07/2008 14:39

i got a load of stuff from Dr Seabaum. I got a breakout kit that comes with wee test tubes of powder that you mix with the cream to make a paste. (wow!) and i also got a facial wash which is so gentle and i also got i facial exfoliating mask that trinny and susannah named as the face lift in a jar. its a really heavy duty face cream for acne and scarring(both of which i have ). I'm totally won over by it though. I love beauty products. Its been too long! feel like i have broken the seal now and all i want to do is spend money on MEEEEEE!!!!
it was ds first birthday on monday- we had a wee party for him and i've never seen him so excited in all my life. I was open mouthed at his iggle piggle cake. I ever let him have a bit- which he scoffed, then i felt bad and kept thinking of his teeth rotting in his head. Ah the parental guilt- just wait miss mitford- till that kicks in..hehe

littleboyblue · 09/07/2008 14:50

Hi everyone. Haven't read this new thread through, there's so many of us, i can't keep up!
Anyway, I'm signing off for a while as we are moving house and not sure when we'll be back on line if ever, £££££!
So, if I'm not back soon, goodluck to you all.

McDreamy · 09/07/2008 14:52

Oooh Clara I like the sound of that! Where did you get it all from? And if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost?

Good luck with the move LLB

MarkStretch · 09/07/2008 14:54

Ooooh I think I can feel a little trip to House of Fraswer coming up.....

Well DD does need some fresh air.....

MissMitford · 09/07/2008 14:56

Thanks everyone - I am just having an extremely irritable day. Having taken it out on DH, my colleagues and the lady in the sandwich shop, I may now go home and put my bad tempered self to bed and be back smiley and happy tomorrow xx

IHaveASecretLittleSmile · 09/07/2008 15:36

Been catching up - feeling a bit down in the dumps.

Friend of mine (has DD same age as my DS) is now 16 weeks and has had triple test done and it came back 1 in 250 and is thinking about the amnio test now. If it comes back high risk, she is thinking of terminating. I personally find that hard to comprehend. Also friend of DH has just terminated (she's single, and didn't know who the father was) and she was be a little further along that us.

It all seems so fragile. A miracle, but still so fragile. Plus ladies on here keep slipping off the list ...

Just hormonal, I guess.

IHaveASecretLittleSmile · 09/07/2008 15:37

Bye LBB and good luck

Clarabumps · 09/07/2008 15:42

i got it in frasers in glasgow but the more i look at the name the more it looks silly. i will dig out the box and find some stockists. it is cosmetology based company, which is one up from cosmetic. (apparently)
all my junk cost.. £124..oops! but they are big pots and will do you for at least 6 months of constant use. i feel awful admitting that. Eek!dont but it all at once like me..i'm a bad example of skin customers.
