Hadn't realised it was the same corner as the smelly corner - I'm already there. Thought I could change corners and no-one would miss my trumps

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 21:27

Captain I still have to remind DH "I'm leaving. You need to watch DD."

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2008 21:28

Did that make any kind of sense? I meant that in a normal vaginal delivery the head presents first - obv in breech delivery, the head comes last!

Help, I'm drowning in my own jumble of nonsense......

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 21:31

Oh and I have to remind DH, "she'll have to go to the bathroom at some point.." when he takes her out running around by himself.

Bigboy, I thought you wanted the baby to stay breech for CSec purposes???? If you're still breech at 37 weeks then you might have the baby at 37+2 by elective CSec. Cut, snip, done!

Oops, don't leave I think somebody left a plate of food in the corner and it's gotten all rotten.

Scan today (routine 3rd trimester scan). Baby LWFK still a boy, head down, everything seems fine, but already measuring 3.1kg (about 37 weeks). Am 33+6 today according to LMP. DH knew the radiologist, so he pointed out things like the kidneys, bladder, circle of Willis. Really nice.

Had a bit of a chuckle at neurotic mothers. Otherwise not much news from here.

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 22:08

Sazzles, everyone started knocking off so I figured I say night. I'm just waiting on DH to call about dinner. Stay up as late as you like.

longwayfromhome · 02/07/2008 22:08

Oh yes, the Cadbury's chocolate here is rubbish - it is much better in the UK. I think that it is something to do with the high temperatures here in the summer so that it has to be made non meltily.

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 22:09

GREAT News Longway. What's a circle of Willis??

longwayfromhome · 02/07/2008 22:10

Hello TS tonight we are going to eat spaghetti with onions, tomatoes, frozen green beans, cheese and ham.

What I really fancy is takeaway curry. Yum.

PetitFilou1 · 02/07/2008 22:12

Yep I do have RL friends (yes friends plural) - that is because I don't smell

Off to bed now - hope I get some sleep as ds has some virus.....

longwayfromhome · 02/07/2008 22:13

They are the blood vessels at the base of your brain Wikipedia has some more information - not very exciting but kind of cool to be able to identify on a scan.

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 22:18

vveerryy interesting....you had a very indepth scan with your DH's friend.

My DH just phoned and said he'll be late. So DD & I will probably have Cheerios for dinner.

Buckets · 02/07/2008 22:22

Heheh, My DH just calls Mumsnet 'Fishwives'. He is fairly saintly but I do remember vividly him sitting up in bed saying 'I can't take this' whilst I tried to get 4wk old DS back to sleep after he'd projectile vomited all over himself at 4am, for the 2nd time. Now we actually have a spare bed so I may just boot DH out on his own once he goes back to work.

He left for his mates' house looking v smug this evening because I demanded a 'servicing' as soon as he got home!(Kids were asleep by 7.15pm bless 'em.) Isn't it funny how men have no problems with being used?

oh no, am i too late? have you all gone to bed?
what is that smell?!!

today's been cool, I made a blue quilted baby blanket for my friend's new son. i figured the poor little lad needs lots of blue in his life given that he's got 2 big sisters! so popped round to see them all this afternoon so spent a few hours cuddling a week old baby. do they do anything other than sleep?! she loved the blanket (think i saw a tear in her eye but i reckon that was her hormones!)

so all in all a lovely day and to top it all she's asked me to me his godmum
mil raised a fair point tonight though, i'm catholic and he's C of E. is a catholic allowed to have a C of E godson? albs this is your (or at least your dp's) area of expertise isn't it? pleased to hear that we're seeing you on friday. location to be confirmed as soon as the carpet fitter tells me what time he's coming

did someone mention nausea? having not had any morning sickness, i spent the other morning being sick and have felt nauseous since. i've found that i don't fancy eating anything but actually, if i force myself to, that food makes me feel better. so thanks for the info earlier about it being the body's way of getting rid of stuff it doesn't want in preparation for labour. hmm, does this mean that things are imminent?!!

miamla · 02/07/2008 23:10

my my what a jumble of text that was! congratulations to anyone who managed to translate it!
perhaps i should be heading bedward too!

AnnVan · 02/07/2008 23:22

Am I the only one still up?? (sings: All by myself...)

bigboydiditandranaway · 03/07/2008 04:55

Miamla, i wouldn't have thought it would make a lot of difference what religion you were. I remember our vicar giving his spiele to ds's godparents and that was to steer him away from drugs and stuff like that, so sort of general issues rather than a particular religion, but that might just of been our vicar?
