Sarahnh...so, do tell, what do you want during stage 3???? I asked for my husband not to move beyond my head and placed my order with him for what dinner I wanted following the baby's full exit.SERIOUSLY

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 21:06

wait that was stage 2....... see nature makes you forget these things....

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 21:10

Stage 3 was a very odd time. I remember suddenly no one was really interested in me except the OB/GYN who managed to deliver the placenta and stitch me up in 10 minutes flat. DH had the camera in hand clicking away (at the baby of course). The nurse said it's time to move to your recovery room and I replied BUT I NEED TO PEE. She said no you don't dear it's just the sensations coming back. And I said, NO I have to pee...either get me a pan or help me to the toilet. To pans later I think she believed me. AGAIN...THE GLAMOUR!!

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 21:11

Two pans...

am I the only one here now?????

Does my breath stink or something????

HHHHEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO

Ah TS it all sounds so wonderful. Personally i just lay on my back whilst they numbed me, catheterised me, sliced me, whipped ds out, re-attached the bits of abdomen back together, and then got up the next day. Honestly it was a breeze .

Just been arsing about on facebook. Please stop speaking French - you know I can't understand a word of it!!

hi, thanks for your kind messages of support.
mw checked me today and baby is still breech, have to be checked again next wk, (37wks)then be booked in for a scan. the mw said to cover all options then but they do offer to try and move the baby and normal birth if breech. Don't know what is best for me & the baby really if i am still breech, any thoughts?

oopsacoconut · 02/07/2008 21:21

Have you started thinking of a new thread name yet TS?? Not long until we will need a new one. I swore too shall I go to the naughty corner too?

Is any other 2nd or more time mum starting to remember (or never forgot) those early months with a new baby....like when your dh/dp leaves the room to go and pee/play on pc/listen to music...yet whenever you leave the room you have to say "can you watch dd/ds whilst I just nip to the loo?"

Anyone? Or just me?

I remember when ds started crawling/pulling himself up and dh was 'looking after him'. I found ds in the toilet with the toilet rim freshener proudly clasped between his teeth Why did I not remember this before?

bigboydiditandranaway · 02/07/2008 21:22

baby still breech, not me!

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 21:25

Sazzles we should over look it this ONE time.

THIS CORNER IS GETTING CROWDED!!! and a little ooohhhhh what is that smell!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bigboy do not google breech births - it will scare the shit out of you. Wait and talk to your cons and mw. Most hospitals prefer first time mums with a breech presentation to have an elective cs. The reasons I was given were that they had no way of knowing if I could birth the head, given that that is the biggest part of the baby, and usually is the presenting part. Plus an increased risk of neo-natal death of about 1% (can't recall exact figures). Basically I wanted my baby out in the safest manner possible - whatever that may have been!

I believe the Radical Association of Midwives do give a more balanced view on breech births so you could safely google them!
