Aw, what a lovely message from mini VG .

Ds was just saying his prayers: "dear God, thank you for my mummy, that she is so lovely, and thank you that no-one goes psssst, and please stop mummy from mooning about over me" wtf? Someone been slipping him drugs?

I'm feeling very mardy tonight- huffing and puffing, uncomfortable etc. Dh is on his usual weds night out and whilst he was getting ready I was moaning about how uncomfy I am, to which he made the eternally helpful comment of "well, you wanted another baby". I duly reminded him told him to fuk off and that such comments were not helpful to a heavily pg woman in a hormone induced bad mood. His mature response? "oooooh, sense of humour failure!" My even more grown up reply "fuk off you stupid cock" Ahh, we're good friends really. No ts I'm not apologising for my me me me post. I'm huge, my ribs hurt, I make strange noises akin to cows and my mother, I can't sleep, I have heartburn AND my work colleagues didn't get me so much as a card for going on mat leave - and now I feel mean for expecting something off them! Grump. Harumph.

Cavey my DH is very fond of the phrase - 'Hey Chubbo' when ever I waddle into the room, even though I am smaller than I have been for years!!!! I have never been one to swear but recently the phrase F**K off has been heard to pass my lips on many occasions - especially when called chubbo and dippy!

Chubbity McLardster is a favourite name of dh's for me.....that or Tubbity Fatlump. This from a man who is 2 stone overweight. As I keep reminding him, mine will disappear soon but his will remain

CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2008 20:22

sazzles your dh will listen to you relaying posts? I am in awe! When I was in hospital I asked dh if he would post on mn for me. His reply: "I'm not going to post on a website to a load of women I don't know." I reassured him everyone knew all about him but he wasn't having any of it. I think mn scares him!

sarahnh · 02/07/2008 20:29

I have warned my DH that he has to post on here, he thinks that the whole mn thing
is so funny!!!

Bizarre q.... i asked mw yesterday about doing my birth plan and she said that i could write one if i wanted too???? i thought that it was something you were suspose to do???

The last time i had a special appointment where a mw came around to my house to discuss things.. am i totally out of the loop???

PetitFilou1 · 02/07/2008 20:34

Dh often says to me 'are you on 'neurotic mothers' again?' He would never dream of posting on here - thinks it is all complete madness

I am having a takeaway pizza tonight - hooray. Very bad as have tons of food in the fridge but I really want a pizza. Excuse is that the builders who are quoting on our kitchen have only just left....

PetitFilou1 · 02/07/2008 20:36

Ps Can I just send a virtual slap flying the way of the dhs/dps calling their partners fat. I would be seriously unimpressed if my dh dared make any comment remotely like that - in jest or otherwise!

VintageGardenia · 02/07/2008 20:38

i have hoverd 3 crunches and been sick blame my mum

PetitFilou1 · 02/07/2008 20:39

Sarah never wrote a birth plan or had a special appointment - ditto re Sazzles and low expectations!

PetitFilou1 · 02/07/2008 20:44

VG Didn't mean it - I saw you put the in - you probably didn't want to be laughed at so sorry. I need some food - brain not working

VintageGardenia · 02/07/2008 20:45

Erm sorry DS again please disregard any further messages from "VintageGardenia" this evening!

Oh, holidays!

LOL at your little fellow CC!

sarahnh · 02/07/2008 20:45

thats ok then, i don't feel so bad now!!!! i didn't get vg post, is it from her ds???

CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2008 20:52

i'm guessing it is sarah - I'm only glad that ds (4) hasn't quite mastered the keyboard or spelling yet!

To cheer myself up I have just purchased a Kingsize summer weight duvet, courtesy of John Lewis clearance, and a pair of fit flops.

Now I'm off to eat crap and then watch 24 - still on season 3 but getting to the last few hours!

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 20:53

VG so glad someone got a laugh out of the poo on the table. BOYS!!

Captain, good show. Please don't hold back this is not an area to keep anything bottled up.

Sarahnh, birth plans are not required for any one at any time in any country. If you desire one be prepared to be flexible as things don't always go as planned.

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2008 20:54

petit lol at 'neurotic mothers'. They ought to have a website for dads called 'half assed fathers' - dh would sign up for sure!

sarahnh · 02/07/2008 20:55

Thanks for that TS... i am very happy to go with the flow although i do have specific requests for the third stage so I guess i could just write that bit down

CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2008 20:55

Hi TS

ChaCha · 02/07/2008 20:58

I didn't get it VG - duh

LOL at DP/DH's comments especially the 'you're the one who wanted another baby' typical man comment! Whenever i start complaining and saying 'i can't do it anymore, it won't be long now, i need to pack a bag....' DH replies 'and this is what you say every pregnancy at this time, you'd think you'd be used to it by now'

PetitF - Likewise, there's enough food in the house but i really don't feel like cooking. Made the DC their dinner and am now thinking of some cripsy poppadoms and an aloo sag...yum!

VG - How old is your DS? That was so sweet. I do hope he doesn't see the swear words though though kids nowadays (if he falls into kid category) are not naive are they? One of the ante-natal ladies back in 2005 left our thread as she wouldn't tolerate any swearing, never saw her post again, well she had principles and was a devout Christian, i cannot blame her. Each to their own.

DH finally home at 8.30pm and took over bath time. One less thing to do, running after the boys after bath time is exhausting. Going to scan menu.

HOpe TS good hossie tour.

ChaCha · 02/07/2008 20:59

oh my God, you all managed to post so much while i typed....

TwilightSurfer · 02/07/2008 20:59

I should unload about my DH before he gets home. He too has reminded me that I said during pregnancy#1 that I didn't want to do this again. But last night he was officially put on the SHIT list. After our tour of the maternity ward which honestly left me feeling extremely anxious (because I KNOW what happens there), we were discussing the weeks following the birth....or rather I was talking about the weeks HE WAS TALKING ABOUT THE WEEK. Seems he has it in his head he's only staying off work for ONE WEEK!! I turned and told him to RETHINK his "plan" and to get busy with figuring out a baby name. THEN DROVE OFF...we were in seperate vehicles.
