No I think you did a wonderful job your discription. I'm just being a whiney-butt these days about everything...ask my DH. It's not ask if women haven't been birthing for ages. I was doing the leg up the wall during the first half of this pregnancy but once I really "blossomed" it leaves me feeling a bit like a beached whale.

VintageGardenia · 30/06/2008 22:18

Just popping in to wish dizzy good luck with appt in morning. Heart up, you've a lot on your plate at the moment, am wishing you good things for tomorrow.

Haven't had much time last number of days but back in a.m. to catch up on thread, esp news of bealcain. Am "working from home" tomorrow and we all know what that means!

Hope all are well.

ataraxis · 30/06/2008 22:28

sazzles, about your MW. That's rubbish, no wonder you have no confidence in her.

TS . Am still planning on having this one earlier though... sending very strong messages to the bump to say somewhere between 8th & 15th... also, so need to get back into my yoga. But no antenatal yoga classes close by and the only dvd i have is an ashtanga one, which is probably not best (and i doubt i could do more than 5 mins of it at this stage) - any suggestions?

have to go to bed now before it suddenly becomes midnight... sleep well all.

poppysocks · 30/06/2008 22:51

Best of luck at the hospital tomorrow Dizzy. You deserve some good news.

LOL at your DD with her petitfilou eating. My DD has been known to swap her pitta bread for kiwi to eat her houmous with .

Buckets · 01/07/2008 08:16

Good luck with appts everyone.
Not done any yoga this pregnancy apart from corpse pose! My little boy hasn't slowed down his movements at all, seems to be settled head-down, back to my right, with tiny feet kicking very fast at times between his bum and my 'wall.' Have definitely felt feet through my skin, very small pointy things and not inside diaphragm/ribcage yet so perhaps he won't be as big as his brother was. Mind, only 34wks today...

Just popping in to say Good Luck [lucky 4 leaf clover] to Dizzy hope yours and MummyDizzy's appointments go well today.

Am taking a sickie today - i know it's only tuesday but this week has been too long already. Baby tried what felt like an escape attempt last night BH constantly for 8 hours every 5-7 mins got to the point where they took my breath away. Phoned M/wife she popped around, which was nice rather than having to go to hospital, checked my over said it was all still closed tight and she was just practicing very unlikely she would come early but to rest for the next 24 hours.

CaptainCaveman · 01/07/2008 08:52

Happy last day at work sazzles! Weather forecast is fab so I hope your office has air con? Hope to you get a leaving gift of use to you!! (and no, I don't think you're selfish!)

Welcome daisy and waytoomuchchocolate (can I call you wtmc?). These threads tend to move along at a rate of knots but TS is very good at keeping us all together . How are you both feeling?

albs YES i went on the rollercoaster with ds (15 times), and the bouncy castle, and the bumpy slide, and some ride that bounced up and down a lot. Was jolly good fun but I think this lo is as stubborn as me and won't be shifted before he is ready

So, here's where we went yesterday -wheelgate park, and this is

todays outing
Must remember to pack the suncream!!

oopsacoconut · 01/07/2008 09:02

Forgot to say welcome to waytoomuchchocolate and daisy

PetitFilou1 · 01/07/2008 09:58

ataraxis Hello! Yes I am having a homebirth (I hope). MW has said she will set me up for one from 36 weeks (I think this means the mysterious box of stuff) - if I went into labour any earlier they would tell me to go into hospital. They may also send me for a growth scan to check that I'm not birthing a giant one . I suspect I may be on for a 10 lber or at least bigger than the other two as I look like I'm about to drop already. Just about to order king size waterproof sheet for our bed - I guess this may be useful in future when I'm an old lady with a jiggered pelvic floor!

sazzles I think it is perfectly normal to be anxious about VBAC - why not ask for the scan. If they tell you to fark off then so what - at least you've asked! What does your mw think?

dizzy Hopefully the Drs will be able to manage your diabetes so things will be ok. I guess there are risks for the baby but surely those can be minimised with the correct treatment. Good luck with it - you have a lot on your plate at the moment. Hope you are talking through it all with someone in RL and your mw knows about your mum.

ChaCha · 01/07/2008 10:31

Morning

Guess it's officially July then!
Am estimating 4-5weeks left then all depending on what consultant says next week.

CC - Am impressed at your day trips! I find it difficult taking these two toddlers to the local park at the moment let alone further afield. Garden has become our park at moment and will probably be like this for a while yet.

I really can't remember if i posted this or not yesterday so sorry if i am repeating myself. DD - I loved the bag, really nice and made me think of treating myself but cannot justify it at the moment. I have a Baby Bjorn rucksack that carries everything for the DC and myself and cost me the whole of a pound on ebay!! Will still enjoy looking though

Bealcain - no news?

alittlebitshy · 01/07/2008 11:00

Will do a proper catch up later but miamla and pregnancy1 yes I'd love to meet you on friday - and coffee and cake works even better for me I think.... Where are we meeting, when?

ataraxis · 01/07/2008 11:05

petit, nice image - thanks!
Have a mw appt today (think they just want to make sure i am ok to go abroad) so will ask about the box contents then...

sazzles, enjoy your last couple of days - i am still working into august but will be planning to be completely from home aug onwards. very about your last trip to London the other week - I have at least 2 more, was hoping to ramp it down this month, but it never works out that way...

Hi chacha - welcome to July!!!

PetitFilou1 · 01/07/2008 11:15

Sazzles - I have one of those picnic rugs but I turn over so much in the night (slowly obviously) that I am already messing up the sheets enough - think the rug would just end up ruched up in the middle of the bed or on the floor! Plus if I do give birth on my own bed it will need some anti gunk protection!

cyteen · 01/07/2008 11:15

Morning all

I'm guessing that no news from bealcain might mean that baby is imminent! Or more worryingly, that there was some problem at her husband's eye appt...hope everything's ok with them all.

After my musings on gentler movements yesterday, I spent last night being kicked to death all over Feel pretty crummy today despite the sunshine. Am heading off to meet my NCT pals for lunch in a bit, although minus one as she went into labour yesterday! It's all very exciting.

PetitFilou1 · 01/07/2008 11:19

Cyteen oh for the days of lunching with NCT friends - make the most of it! And NCT coffee mornings after the birth were my life saver.... I am going to see two friends from my NCT classes with ds this weekend actually - one of them was always there when I needed her in the early days - you can make some good friends that way.

ChaCha · 01/07/2008 11:32

Ataraxis - Where are you planning on going? Our flight last week was just 4.5hours so not too bad, it was the last hour both ways that was difficult and mostly because DC wanted to run around and tired us out than actual pregnancy. Hope you're planning anice break anyway.

Tis a gorgeous day here!

ataraxis · 01/07/2008 11:36

Hi chacha, off to france on friday (the others will get very bored of me saying that...). We are driving, so shouldn't be too bad - very unpc dvd players in the back for the boys - overnight ferry (with cabins), making it as easy as possible. Sadly still no joy on travel insurance over 32wks so this baby will just have to stay put for a while.
My plan is for DH to have the boys in the pool all day while I lounge around sipping (non alcoholic ) cold drinks and put my feet up... that's the plan, I suspect the reality will be somewhat different!

It's lovely lovely here too - hope it stays!
