Hi,

Congratulations to all those added to list.

I am going tonight to see my Consultant. I have loads to say to them as there is loads of confusion about my dates. I have just had one emergency scan that said I was 4 - 5 weeks pregnant, but I am worried as I tested positive over 2 weeks ago.

I am really pleased that I now have just a few more pregnancy symptoms, so I am feeling a little more pregnant.

ruthmollymummy · 17/06/2008 10:03

I can't believe I had been moaning about having no symptoms. I've thrown up this morning and the memories of last time all came flooding back. Just need to remind myself it wont last long....hopefully.

jelliebelly · 17/06/2008 10:30

Hi there - have added myself to the list. Due 6 Feb - I already have ds who will be 3.5 by then.

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 11:24

ruthmollymummy I don't do symptoms! This time I've had even less symptoms and I tested at almost 8 weeks because I just had a feeling. I thought I was 5 weeks LMP!

idontbelieveit · 17/06/2008 11:30

oooh, a new thread, how exciting! Still no major symptoms except tiredness.
Anyone know the latest peanut butter guidelines? Can we or can't we?????

NervousMouse · 17/06/2008 11:37

oh, I hope we can . I was told not to eat peanuts during my last pregnancy as my mother-in-law has a peanut allergy.

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 11:38

Last I heard there was still two (or more, added in after typing the bit below) camps on it. Some say it's ok if no relatives, some say it's ok because the placenta protects baby, some say it's ok because it helps build the babies tolerance of it and some say early exposure can make allergies worse.

I think it's one you need to choose for yourself.

ruthmollymummy · 17/06/2008 11:44

we'll find something to moan about either way though wont we Tinksmum! I worried when I didn't have symptoms now I'm complaining I do! I'm 7 +1 today I think, it is Tuesday isn't it!??

oooggs · 17/06/2008 11:58

you know I really thought your baby was called tinkerbelle - not that there is anything wrong with that!!!

she looks lovely and I hope you manage to carry for a bit longer this time

I am interested in learning about wrap slings like the mai tei (not sure if that how you spell it!!!) so will look at your website

I am hoping to carry in a sling for a bit will dts in double pushchair as at 22mths its a bit young to walk the whole of the school run!!

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 12:01

Yes it's Tuesday!

I'll be moaning loads, don't worry! I'll be sticking needles in my bum for the next 5 or so months and be in and out of hospital. I'm just glad I don't have symptoms to worry about too!

It's her nickname, she is known by that by most people. My niece started it when she heard the names we were talking about having she said "I like Tinker Belle the most" I checked and she really did mean Isobel, but she just liked Tinker Belle, so it stuck.

I don't do MeiTeis, I'm into wraps. I still wrap Tink now and she loves it. She still likes to walk and it's easy to take around with me in case she wants to be picked up. You can even take two children (whether that's twins or baby/toddler) in the sling, which I'm looking forward to having a go of!

I've not got much hope for going to term again, apparently it should have been anticipated last time, but hopefully if they're expecting it they won't be so quick to brush off "braxton hicks" again!

laidbackinengland · 17/06/2008 12:21

Morning all. My DH is away for a week so I have the 3 DC's all alone ! It's fine - apart from I am really struggling with dirty nappy changes at the moment. I have had a very sensitive sense of smell over the last week and I have to wear a balaclava or scarf round my face to avoid retching like a strangled walrus when changin DS3's nappy . Grim grim grim. Any tips ?

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 12:25

I don't envy you! Just glad that Tink is insisting on using the toilet. I can't go in the kitchen at the moment as the bananas in the bin smell revolting! Wish I had some advice cause I could do with it myself!

LuLuBai · 17/06/2008 12:36

Yup Laidbackinengland - I'm struggling with nappy changes too.

I'm going to start swatting up on potty training. She's 14.5 months now so reckon I may be able to do it sometime during these warmer months if I'm lucky.

And hello Biscuitytrousers - I live quite near you - do you know Ham?

Singingintherain · 17/06/2008 12:42

Sorry going back to Peanut thing. I just love them and peanut butter.

I spent the whole of my dd's pregnancy, nine years ago eating peanut cookies from a well known supermarket as they were buy one get one free. I just stocked up on them and spend the nights when I could not sleep eating them with milk.

I am not sure if they had any effect, but the first time I gave some peanut butter to my daughter who was old enough to try it, she had terrible vomit (sorry). I told the Doctor who said she may not be able to tollerate it. Now though she loves peanuts and they do not make her ill. I just wonder what made her so ill the first time (We only knew she was able to eat them recently because she ate some by accident).

Singingintherain · 17/06/2008 12:45

Just started to feel like spending the afternoon talking to the "big white telephone" as my dh calls it.

I was hoping to stay away for a while. Maybe it is just nerves worrying about tonight.

jelliebelly · 17/06/2008 12:54

Isn't it odd how some people can't stop being sick and others don't even feel queasy when pregnant! With ds1 I wasn't sick at all so am keeping my fingers crossed this time. I will be 7 wks tomorrow. I do a long commute to work on the train so the thought of being sick then fills me with dread. Only symptoms so far are tiredness and sore boobs!!

LuLuBai · 17/06/2008 12:56

I was about to have peanut butter on toast for lunch and then remembered I'm not supposed to have it and ate Marmite instead.

I only bought the peanut butter for other day for the first time in years and years because I wanted to try my dd on peanuts (just in case so that I didn't get a nasty shock if she ate one somewhere by accident). And now it is in the fridge I really really want it. Sigh

(sorry about the food topic for anyone feeling very queasy)

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2008 12:57

Morning all

New Thread! AFAIK threads can take upto 1000 messages.

I've eaten LOADS of peanut butter these past 5 weeks

Singingintherain · 17/06/2008 13:13

Tiedness. I can not even stay awake to watch my favourite tv programme. I keep oning my eyes just as it finishes, then I have to sit through news instead.

I am glad my two dd's are at school and they are out the house 7.5 hours as they have to catch a bus to school. I am glad I do not have to drive this time. I am able to go to cross the road, watch them onto bus and rush back to bed for a couple more hours. Everything is too much effort. With my dd2 I was working all thr way through my pregancy and used to go home at lunch just so I could be sick in peace without anyone hearing me crying.

Now I have no choice but to stay at home. I am unable to work out here due to my employer and for when I go back to UK. I am on a career break for two years and they have told me that I am unable to work outside UK. It is complicated, but things are fine with it.
