Davidsmom - I can't see your profile - you have to make sure you make it public too.

IHASLS - I am still eating runny eggs. Someone on MN a while ago said that Lion Marked eggs are certified free from salmonella, and I can't do without a fried egg for another 8 months.

Well, I had my GP's appointment today and will be referred for an early scan, to hopefully get a better idea of due date, and to clear up the previous "inconclusive" one. I don't know when it will be, but hopefully this week with any luck.

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 15:24

Lulu, I used to live almost opposite Ham Common.

lol Loopy, me too! I thought they were ingrowing hairs (two opposite each other) but not sure now. My skin has cleared up though, I normally have quite a red dry rash on my cheeks (I think related to the Hughes Syndrome) but that's gone in the last few weeks. I thought it was the concealer I was using as it's "lightly medicated" and thought maybe it was vit E or something.

francesrivis, sorry to hear your news the wait is very scary, I had a similar thing. I had triplets, lost one at home, the doctor removed one and left one in place which they could see on the scan exactly like you said. I did go on to loose the third, but that's not something to think about because I can't carry babies naturally without drugs anyway. As far as BFing goes, I'm in agony! I feel like I have chomp bruises on each side and it hurts to feed her or if I catch my nipples. I've never felt anything with my breasts in pregnancy before, so not sure what to read into that! I'm always symptom free in pregnancy, it's not something that needs to be worried about, we just hear women complaining (no offence anyone) about symptoms and rarely hear from the ones who have it easy, that's why I like to say a lot I have it fairly easy with symptoms.

loopylula · 17/06/2008 15:26

Great to hear your news Davidsmom! I've had a really achey back, tummy the last few days but seems to have cleared up now. Saw doc yesterday but didn't mention it.

LuLuBai ? weird but true, DD loves her cot, always has!

Davidsmom · 17/06/2008 15:26

Hi BumpVLump

Everyone is different with the MS some lucky people get nothing and others lots of vomiting. Generally the sicky feeling ends with the first trimester at around 12 weeks. I was feeling sicky til 16 weeks but didnt start til perhaps 8-9 weeks last time and didnt actually vomit.

Being a bit more positive a friend of mine vomited regularly for around 2 weeks then had a great pregnancy afterwards. I think MS is considered a sign of a "strong" pregnancy too if that helps. (Not that no symptoms means the opposite)

Sorry dont think I have helped at all

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 15:27

BTW, I haven't stopped thinking about having a runny fried egg sandwich for days! I'm glad I'm not craving them! Actually last time I went to TBD's parents house and they were eating a fry up. I'd been off salt but for some reason I just wanted a fry up. TBD and I argued about me having a runny egg so he said "I'll ask Mum then" and she said "I wasn't told not to eat eggs" lol. It was a one off so I think I'm allowed.

Davidsmom · 17/06/2008 15:28

Oh, did click on the public bit- will check it out.

NoNickname · 17/06/2008 15:32

Davidsmom - when your profile is viewable, on the top right hand side of your posts, there will be an exclamation mark, a yellow tag thing and an envelope. It's the tag thing that marks that your profile is public/viewable.

Davidsmom · 17/06/2008 15:33

Not sure whats going on- clicked on my mumsnet and the public profile and everything came up fine.

If I click on my name I can see my profile- is that because its me? Can anyone else?

Oh confused now...

NoNickname · 17/06/2008 15:35

Have you namechanged? If you have, then you need to link your new name (Davidsmom) to your profile.

Davidsmom · 17/06/2008 15:39

No never name changed- not that savvy with MN!

From here, you can set up a public profile page that other members can see when they click your name on talk. Whether you do this, and how much you choose to write / reveal is completely up to you. To make your profile page, fill in the form below. If you'd rather not make a particular detail visible, just leave it blank. Remember to click save at the bottom of the page when you're done!

It just says that other members can click on your name??? as above????????????

Davidsmom · 17/06/2008 15:41

Going to make tea. v frustrated with this will come back when calmed down.

idontbelieveit · 17/06/2008 15:47

bfing is killing me too, can't tell if it's dd teething or pregnancy related...
Francesrivis, sorry to hear your news, fingers crossed for you.
Am going to eat peanuts i think, had a runny egg a couple of weeks ago because i forgot i couldn't, can see me having a couple more in the next few months, it's weird i was so paranoid last time but this time i'm not so worried, must be the PFB thing i suppose.

Guitargirl · 17/06/2008 16:20

Francesrivis - fingers crossed for you for next Friday. I am still breastfeeding and so far have noticed hardly any changes, last time I had noticeable blue veins and they were very tender. Now I keep prodding them (!) but not so much as a twinge.

I got to see the GP this morning about yesterday's bleeding. She referred me to EPAU this afternoon and I had a scan. All looks well so far , thankfully - tiny tiny baby with heartbeat ! The sonographer showed me some dark spots outside the sac which she said were signs of old (apparently random) bleeds, there are still a few small ones so she said not to panic as she would expect further spotting. I am to go back to the GP or to A&E if I get heavy bleeding, clots or pain but she said I can expect further spotting as these remaining small bleeds work their way out.

Davidsmom · 17/06/2008 17:07

Great news Guitargirl

Its so nice to finally see the little thing esp the heartbeat.

Still making tea- will concentrate on the profile thing later.

idontbelieveit · 17/06/2008 17:23

hooray guitargirl, that's excellent news!

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 18:00

Guitargirl, I don't know if you were told this at the hospital, but seeing a HB halves the risk of M/Cing! So I hope you are feeling a lot better now.

Clarabumps · 17/06/2008 18:34

hey- just found you all... i thought you were very quiet. How have we all been? congrats guitar girl- thats great! i've got ages till my scan,at least 6 weeks. They take ages in glasgow. then you get wheeled by the monitor at 40 mph and are expected to see the heartbeat. I really want a runny egg, pate and big fat prawns for dinner. going to be a long 9 months.

Guitargirl · 17/06/2008 18:41

Thanks for the support, it is something of a relief now definitely, still a long way to go of course but such a relief to see that little pulse on the screen!

I cried on the GP this morning and the receptionist, I was fine until they started to be nice to me and then I crumbled .

Clarabumps · 17/06/2008 18:42

i cried at friends when i was pregnant.

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2008 19:03

I cried at everything last time I was pregnant....adverts, eastenders....you name it . Its amazing what hormones do to you

MarkStretch · 17/06/2008 19:11

I did snotty, unable to talk crying on my manaer the other day for an hour!

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2008 19:15

....sorry, shouldn't laugh but we're all at it!

I nearly wee myself every time I throw up ....

TinkerbellesMum · 17/06/2008 19:25

Take a Break! I can't read it when I'm pregnant.
