yingers, you've opted out of CAT-ing so I can't tell you who I am!!

franch · 11/01/2005 16:51

Actually yingers you might just be able to figure it out from my latest post on the aforementioned thread .... !

pooka · 11/01/2005 18:42

Hi all

People all over the place. And what a lot of prospective home birthers too - I'm also keen on the idea.

Had my first GP appointment today to get the ball rolling - midwifes from now on though. Mentioned cramping pains and GP will test for UTI. Feeling rather nervous really as is getting more real, combined with GP being very pragmatic (though lovely) about chances of m/c at this stage.

Sallie - GP said I might get spotting, in which case no vigorous sex (ha), pushing to poo and take it easy. Test again in a week.

Apart from the stomach ache (which I think is wind related, all well. No sickness, just a little tired.

Bye for now.

yingers74 · 11/01/2005 18:59

franch, have deblocked myself, did not know i had done it!!! I have an idea but then again I am rubbish at guessing!!!! I hope the MS does get better and is not as bad as last time. Have you tried taking vitamin b6 (i think that is right, anyone else?)? It is suppose to help with MS, I never took it last time but am taking one of those pregnant vit pills with it and am pinning my hopes that it will prevent me getting MS badly!!

OP posts:
franch · 11/01/2005 19:15

CAT-ed you now yingers. Haven't tried the B6 thing - will check it out. Actually I may have tried it - tried everything last time, including acupuncture (cost a fortune) - used the Nicky Wesson book cover to cover - nothing worked

franch · 11/01/2005 19:19

Found some info on the B6 thing

yingers74 · 12/01/2005 14:58

Got your CAT! And my guess was right!!! Hope everyone is good. Have spent the entire morning indoors waiting for a delivery, poor dd was so bored! They said 9-12 and of course came 12.10!

yingers - and !

Never done one of these 'club' threads before - when do we start a new one?

maretta · 12/01/2005 18:18

I think we start a new thread when this one just gets too long to scroll through - unless of course we're getting competitive with the 'Due in August' mums.

When we do start anew thread, can we make the first post a summary of everyones names and due dates - like the one pooka did. My poor pregnant brain is so forgetful.

How's everyone feeling today?

franch · 12/01/2005 19:06

Thanks maretta I've not had too bad a day today - only vomited once - have taken loads of ginger so maybe that's helping? Probably just a temporary reprieve though. Have got early morning meetings tomorrow and Fri so god knows how I'll cope - no one knows I'm pregnant yet ... Had to cancel a biggie yesterday - really don't want to opt out of everything this early on.

Just told one of my best friends - everyone's so shocked - they still think of DD as a newborn!

biglips · 12/01/2005 19:11

one of my friends is 3 weeks pregnant and she is having alot of pain in one area, docs said maybe epotic (cant spell it -soz) pregnancy! we gotta wait to have a scan... how can you tell if you hav got that?

maretta · 12/01/2005 20:21

Hi biglips. I would suggest you start a seperate thread. I'm sure you'd find someone who has experienced ectopic pregnancy

yingers74 · 12/01/2005 21:52

Hello all,

Am still doing ok and no sign of MS still which is both worrying and a relief, let see what tomorrow brings. Perhaps that B6 stuff is actually working!

Franch - hope the temporory reprieve proves to be a long one.

Ok I need to recap so as i don't get too confused so far we have:-
Rubyring 3/9 (no1)
Pooka 3/9 or 10/9 (No. 2 dd almost 18m)
Franch 5/9 (no.2 dd 19m)
Mummyhill 6/9 (no.2 dd almost3)
Zubb 8/9 (no.3 - ds 3y8m, ds2 1y10m)
Decafarabica 10/9 or 16/9 (No. 2 dd ?)

Maretta 16/9 (no.2 dd 19m)
Tallbird d/d ? (no. 2 dd ?)
Yingers d/d ? (No. 2 dd 22m)

Is this right?

Hope you are all feeling ok. Ms not too bad at the moment could be due to taking pregnacare which contains b vits what do you think girls? DD is being a little monster, she knows something is going on but not what!!! However she decided to shout at the top of her voice at nursery that she is having a baby brother was not sure what to say. God only knows what we are having this time. Will she be difficult if she ends up with a sister?

DecafArabica · 13/01/2005 11:47

Hi everyone. Yingers, I only ever felt slightly queasy with DS when I was on the bus--never felt nauseous at any other time. Franch, I'm finding Twinings lemon and ginger herb tea is helping with the queasiness I'm experiencing this time around. Nice to know you're expecting at the same time as me! Let me know when you would like your guided tour.

Sallie · 13/01/2005 12:33

No ms for me yet although get very hungry all the time!! Didn't get ms with previous two but you never know...also taking pregnacare and took it last time so who knows whether thats the reason???

Kiwicath · 13/01/2005 13:05

Man, I'm a dingbat!!! Just tried to start a september babe tread on the wrong topic. Haven't read thru yet but will swot up this evening. Very glad to be here I've got to say!! Been TTC for #2 for the past 4 months. Wasn't holding out much hope as it took 2 years for #1 and had all sorts of probs. Conceived on the 15th of Dec??? so by all accounts due on the 14 Sept. So not feeling pregnant yet but then I didn't for the entire 40 weeks of my last pregnancy - the bump kind of gave it away after a while though . Very, very glad to be here (think I've said that) and very glad that you are all here too. Here's hopeing for a smooth 9 months and lots of chats.

Kiwicath · 13/01/2005 13:05

... thanks Pooka

Beatie · 13/01/2005 14:09

May I cautiously join you too?

I am due Sept 10th with my 2nd. My dd is currently 25 months.

2004 was a shite year for me too. I had 2 miscarriages during the first half of the year and then thought I was never going to get pregnant again. I think I have been some wicked kind of wife and mother the past few months as the obssession of ttc took hold.

Now that I am pregnant, even with the hormones, I feel calm and contented and realise how sad I have been feeling.

I am already feeling sick. Much sooner than any of my other pregnancies. I want to keep this a secret until I have a scan in 2 weeks time but I know my mum will suspect. She always does.

My GP has been very supportive as I was already begging her for fertility testing she said to go and see her as soon as I found out I'm pregnant again and she's arranged the scan for the regular antenatal clinic rather than the EPU where my miscarriages were dealt with, as she wants me to think positively about this pregnancy.

Congratulations and hello to everyone else due in September.

Sallie · 13/01/2005 14:12

Beatie - nice to have you join us. Hope you aren't feeling too dodgy. My due date is 16 Sept supposedly (according to online calculators) but not really feeling any symptoms yet apart from needing to visit the loo more often and also getting very hungry.....! Didn't have ms with either dd or ds so fingers crossed. Although am feeling a bit bloated and have slight heartburn which is annoying.....

pooka · 13/01/2005 14:23

Hi Kiwicath. Took us 4 months this time which felt like an age (stupid I know) in comparison to the instant success with dd.
Well done Mummyhill. Dr has set a due date of 3rd September now, so I guess that's the one we should be going with.
Still not really feeling any symptoms, except, like Sallie, an enormous appetite (suspect I'm making the most of it, as I did wth dd - hence 4.5 stone weight gain . Also several headaches.
Anyway - must dash.

Beatie · 13/01/2005 14:37

Anyone know if it's just peanuts you shouldn't eat or does it include any nuts.

Following a small spell on the South Beach Diet I'd got used to snacking on nuts and really would like to continue. There's so much goodness in nuts it seems a shame to give them up completely for 9 months when we have no history of allergies.

Sallie · 13/01/2005 15:26

Took us 5 months with no 2 and no 3 which seemed forever too, although know of course its not. No 1 was conceived on the pill!!! I am eating peanut butter but as don't have nut alergy thought it was safe.....

pooka · 13/01/2005 18:47

Me too with the peanut butter. Can't resist finishing dd's peanut butter soldiers at breakfast. Can't remember what I did last time - being a first timer I think I was totally anal about everything. Am even having the odd cup of proper tea and coffee
Felt a little queasy earlier and still having the same stomach pains. GP is checking for a UTI. I'm a little worried as really sure didn't have this last time. It seems such a long time to wait for the first scan, and I've heard so many sad stories recently that I'm completely paranoid really. Ho hum - will have to hope that when I get my booking in appointment with the midwife (it's midwife-led care here) she'll be able to do a quick scan to set my mind at ease.
Am eating a delicious tub of green & black chocolate orange ice cream as couldn't face the main meal. Being helped by dd of course!

DecafArabica · 13/01/2005 20:22

I've stopped feeling so queasy but now can't stop farting--anyone else got terrible wind, or is it just me???
